I thought it was a single CAN network with 2 communication lines (CAN H line and CAN L line)? Not 2 networks. Then there is the K line for all the OBDII diagnostics stuff, navi/TV/display bus and probably A/C bus. I'm with smoothV35, unless we share information we will never learn.

I've PMed you your PIN. Let us know when you get your new key programmed. Cheers, Tom

284B1 is on all BCMs and it's the part number. The serial number is different for every BCM. Tom
-
I can't see the serial number on it. It's got everything else including the part number. Maybe it's under the sticker or on another sticker somewhere. It's a 5 character combination of digits and letters or just digits. Tom
-
Your BCM serial number is 55B51. Check your PM for your PIN code. Cheers, Tom
-
Sure. PM me with your BCM code and I'll send you the PIN. It's the one on the pic.

I've got the Nissan Super Code calculator so if anyone is after their super code let me know. I can't guarantee it will work though. Chris: Can you point me to any of those sites? I haven't had much luck with Google.
-
Is that what the "Nissan Super Code calculator" claims to be doing? See here: http://www.store.autosvs.com/index.php?mai...stsdqovqhpn1ip1 Is that the code used by the ConsultII tool? Tom
-
I might be able to join you guys as well. Haven't been for drive for ages. Tom
-
It didn't work for me. I couldn't even get the hazard lights to flash.
-
Has anyone tried this? I'm going to try it tonight and log the CAN network messages.
-
Thanks Chris. Not a cheap tool for hobbyists: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Launch-X431-Infinit...080614091a25903 I'm guessing it works over the CAN network not the K line.
-
Is the tool you are using Cosult II or can it be done with some other tools? Thanks, Tom
-
So how is it meant to work? I don't think just hooking up buttons to ECU is gonna make it work.
-
I thought that was standard as it came with my car. Tom

V35 With Brembos - Compliance Wheels
TomR33 replied to joseph020233's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Vic, I've sold my wheels already so can't lend you mine. There is an AU section in 350z-tech.com forum. Don't buy from US, it's too much hassle. You can also trying talking to your compliance workshop, they might have some. Tom -
V35 With Brembos - Compliance Wheels
TomR33 replied to joseph020233's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
I had the same problem. Ended up buying a set of 18" 350z track wheels from www.350z-tech.com forum and selling them here shortly after. The track version wheels definitely fit over brembos. Tom -
I've got one of those installed. I'm not sure about the 180km/h speed limiter. I don't have it but it is probably because I also have the Hi-Tech reflash ECU. Yeah, speedo is off by about 10km/h but it could also be due to my larger wheels (19"). If you interested in the cluster let me know, we could work something out. Mine is auto. Tom

Try www.obdfactory.com, they used to have some. or eBay

Yeah, thats the Consult I protocol from PLMS website prepared by Nissan Technical Group. Completely different to Consult II protocol and can't be used on our v35 Skylines. The Consult II unit from Nissan dealership will work but do you want to spend $2500 to get one? Tom

[diy] Put A/v Input For 350gt W/o Reverse Camera
TomR33 replied to Frank350GT's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
I believe the screen needs a 60Hz NTSC signal to work. Am I right or someone found a way around it? Tom -
It also searches for the disc every time you start it and gives you a short double beep if it doesn't find it. Mine does at least.
-
I have. The OBDII protocol is no bigge it's just a standard protocol but you can't do much with it. I'm currently working on Nissan Data Scan II that will work with Consult II protocol. So far I can monitor most parameters and registers. The final product will also let you log data, adjust idle speed and ignition timing as well as reading and clearing error codes. The NDS II software and PC adaptor will be available through Blazt.biz. Cheers, Tom

So what are the files and directories? Some formats are documented. Tom
