  1. Saw this on C31 over here in Adelaide last night, thought i better let my HOME state SAU-ers in on it. For those who are interested they want something like WSID in Melb, and since the NSW State Govt. put up something like $30 Million for that I can't see why VIC shouldn't do the same. http://www.driva.com.au/ Not sure I'm so thrilled by it I'd pay $55 membership before anything's actually happened though.
  2. yeap my Type-M Sedan is 5-stud thank goodness!
  3. Cant afford the $25 and petrol? Anyone else? I'll be heading up in the afternoon coz I'm trying to organise looking at some rims to possibly buy in the morning, if i can't sort it out during the week.
  4. More info. here: http://www.amrs.net.au/ Looks like the events are: 1. Kumho Tyres Formula 3 Championship 2. Shannon's Australian Production Car Championship 3. Gulf Western Touring Car Challenge Series 4. Rotors & Drums Australia Saloon Car Series 5. Australian Super Kart Championship No mention of the Drift on that site so not sure if it's out of date or what.
  5. This is on as a support event to the Australian Motor Racing Series More Info. http://www.driftaustralia.com.au/index.asp http://www.mallala.com/ Entry is $25 (U14's Free). I can't find a fixture, or a full listing of the competetions, but i belive it's Formula 3's, Commodore Cup, Proton Cup, soem more and of course the Drift! The Dirft finals is on the 17th I know that much, anyone interested or already contemplating going to this? - Ash.
  6. Hey hey Rowdy, very nice, it's here! Hopefully it'll be somewhere i can have a squiz at it when I'm back in Melb over Anzac long weekend. Now that i think about it, you got your GTST when i was living in Adelaide last, maybe i should skip back over here more often. Who knows what you'll get next time?
  7. The '89 interior trim is grey, later models is black (or VERY dark grey), some of the '89 models came without climate control (pretty sure it's standard on later). Engines & ECU's (have compared maps myself) are the same as with all the other running gear AFAIK.
  8. Hey there, Rims: What offset are they? How scratched are they, etc, any close-ups of each one? Tyres: How much life is left in them, what brand/model and width are they? And where abouts in Adelaide are you?
  9. Ceffy and Laurel kit over at NS: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=85957
  10. Oh, I'd forgotten about this thread, turns out I got my wires crossed. The car had just been driven down from Port Pirie, the guy is based Campbelltown, can't remember his name though... no big deal, I haven't heard anything else from my mate regarding it. Thanks for your willingness to help though people!
  11. TEIN HA's, so yeah, add Adelaide roads to that and it could well be the arse skitting around a bit. I don't really care either, it's towards the bottom of my list.
  12. Can't see why i wouldn't be free, I'll be in.
  13. Yes i have a "floaty" speedo too, I've heard the "gear" thingy in the back of the dash cluster which connects to the speedo cable can round out or something or get loose and muck things up, but i don't really know to be honest. It's another thing on my list of "niggly" problems.
  14. http://meggala.com/wheelsoffsets.htm plus http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html
  15. pretty sure RowdyR32 had a dodgy ECU fry his, and a replacement one til he worked it out, a resistor or something had snapped off the ECU board. Other than that, prolonged heat, a short, blunt force, could probably all do it.
  16. Bunch of Silvia's, and a couple Skylines I believe, got torched over the weekend and FBI have put up a reward. More info. over at NS: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...showtopic=85656 Edit: For the uninitiated: FBI = Four Brothers Imports in this case, NOT the Federal Bureau of Investigation
  17. I had some problems, it'd create a virtual serial port 3 and it wa a no go, but if i disable the REAL serial port 2 and force the virtual to serial port 2 THEN it worked. Go figure?
  18. I got the bracket too, but removed it, mine's just tucked in loose between power-steering reservoir and airbox, but then I haven't 100% finished installing it yet. I'll do something a little better once i get a proper garage to work in (2 weeks), I want to take photo's of the whole install process, and write up a little something for the DIY section while I'm at it.
  19. Anything R34 is pretty horn IMHO, I want a R34 kit for my R32 like this one at Garage-13: Click for full-size But since it's "from $4490" kinda hard to justify on a car not worth much more than double that, factor in re-spray and i think it'd only be worth it on a R32 GTR. But i can dream. *sigh*
  20. They all sound good to me, but why not swap it around, bolt a Pathfinder front to a N13 pulsar?
  21. Oosh

    Skid Pans?

I heard at lunch there's something on in Tallem Bend tomorrow, but i don't have any details sorry, if there was to be a SAU organised one i'd certainly be interested...
  22. None of it lines up that well, *almost* looks photo-chopped, but i like the general "look" of it. Maybe just get some Laurel, Cefs, Sil, 180's and 200's around and swap until you have some weirdo creations!
  23. So long as it's warm, RB20's love a good thrash! and if something lets go they're comparitively cheap for parts or to replace entirely.
  24. Yeah, i dunno, a "strawberry face" ceffy might work, it'd certainly be something different.
  25. Yeap, i *had* similar concerns, but got over em. They're certainly valid ones though. As for using the "Normally Open" types, it's already supported by the kit, you just need to swap a link/jumper around. The problem is you end up with significantly more solenoid wear so it's a toss up. Probably not, because these are the first things to go if you want to get the most out of the boost increase the IEBC is providing. If you're running some big setup capable of huge boost i might be worried, but personally I just have a stock RB20 turbo atm, so my turbine wheel is likely to fly apart before ramming 20psi of superheated air down the engine's throat!
