  1. Nah, only the RB25 & SR20 ECU's need a extra daughter board to be chipped, do a Google for "BadBiki" if you want more info. RB20 ECU's and R32 RB26's (not sure about later models) can just have the EEPROM chip removed and re-written. And that sits under a factory "daughter-board". No worries, mate, I haven't opened it up yet or tested it out, but I'm sure it's sweet. Cheers. And next time I'll get you on the Go-Kart track, or mess up and go drifting again like i did yesterday, either way!
  2. Also this bit kinda makes most of your questions moot, , I wish people would READ posts.
  3. Hmmm @ these prices I hope somebody stocks the 275/40/17 's around here. Provided I can safely strectch them over 9.5" rims that'd be sweet.
  4. No worries. Yeah, tell me about it, RowdyR32 used to always gimme shit about it. I think it might be a 4Dr thing, I can take you for a reverse in the truck on Sunday too
  5. Doesn't really matter, so long as it goes hard, has forced inducton, and is RWD/AWD it's all good in my book! I think most people around here have similar opinions. After I'm done with the R32 I'd really like to get a JZX100 Chaser. Great cars!
  6. The problem with using a MAP sensor is unless you have a very expensive one they react relatively slowly, whereas you can measure inj. duty-cycle in a fraction of a second, and that % figure correlates with boost pressure very well. But this method does require more tuning and has no self-learn mode.
  7. Did anyone actually end up involved in this?
  8. I've got the zoom-lens attachment, probably wasn't worth it really, alway best to just get a SLR if you're gonna play with lens's but it has come in handy from time-to-time.
  9. RowdyR32 has 9.5" +38 rims on a R32 GTST, they fit without rubbing, but they do stick out a bit. It's not an ideal situation but it works, it's always best to trial fit these things if you can, but I'm guessing that's not an option.
  10. How much do you want to spend firstly? And the only thing about the IXUS range is that it uses a special Canon battery, so when it dies (and Li-Ion have a limit shelf, not usage, life) you can't just go anywhere to get one. I have a PowerShot A80 which takes 4 x AA NiMh batteries which makes it a bit bulkier but i can also slap some cheap stock of the supermarket shelves if needed. It has some good "point & shoot" presets and you can do some manual stuff for the trickier light conditions if you feel so inclined. I've been very happy with it's operation and image quality (4 MP with good optics). Don't get too hung up on mega-pixels either, for day-to-day shooting anything more than 3.2MP is plenty, I suggest you look at a PowerShot A95 which is a 5MP item and more than adequate.
  11. Hey Inark, sorry for the delay, I'll try to get in touch with Gaz today and see about his availabilities on the weekend. - Ash.
  12. Hey Cubes, If you bring this, as well as the ECU, to the cruise on Sunday and there's a good possibility I'll take it off you hands too. Cheers, - Ash.
  13. I do believe it's that helpful chime that says "hey dickhead you left your lights on!" when you open the door. I ripped mine out thinking it was the in-cabin reversing beeper, but it's not, damn Nissan a R32 GTST is a sports car not a truck!
  14. If you're getting all 4 in one go then that means general anaestetic (spelling?), which beats the 2 by 2 method in the chair, I had the former and was up and about pretty quickly but i wouldn't have been good for a car cruise 1 day later either! It'll be soup & jelly for you for a little while.
  15. Woot! That makes 4 4DR 32's There seems to be so many more sedans (R32 & R33) over here in Adelaide than Melbourne it's great.
  16. Like i said, it's easily bypassed, but can you get us a better look at wire/plug in question.
  17. There's a blue starter relay that is usually bolted to the strut tower, or floating around nearby, which has two plugs going in to it. One is a largish rectangular one, the other a smaller oval shaped one. The relay's found in LOTS of Nissans and often goes and can be easily by-passed until replaced (just round out it never was in mine but will be soon). Given they were try to nick you car it could well be that. More info. on it here: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_...409/ai_n9452048
  18. Yeah i have that, but not so much a squak but quiet rattle, I have a bit of crap floating around so it might not be anything but i've had a quick whip around with no luck!
  19. The company my mate works for, Form 2000 (near Moorabbin Airport), have a powder-coat line but I've never enquired about. Maybe look them up and see what it's worth, when i speak to my mate next I'll ask him about it but he's a floor foreman so the pricing isn't really his department, just makes sure the work gets done.
  20. OK I'll thrash it out with Gaz and be in touch on Tuesday. Enjoy your Easter break, - Ash.
  21. Just post the question in there, best to keep all the info. centralised.
  22. Cheers Gazbo You both have PMs. - Ash.
  23. I'll give $100 pickup mate. Edit: On the proviso the EPROM chip isn't epoxy'd to the board. I'll need to open it up to have a quick look.
  24. Ok, Is it a R31 or R32 chip? What mods was it tuned for? Any idea what the rev limit is set at? Got a copy of that dyno graph you mentioned that you can post? And can you get access to a small anti-static bag (plenty of computer bits come in them) for transport? Cheers.
