hi, mines an auto with 170rwKW. it changes or bounc at around 7150 RPM. but to be honest my stock turbo gives less after about 6500. when i used to run i backed off at just before redline and the box quickly shift, then i hammer it again (you will feel that the clutch packs will bites much harder then letting the computer shift. i would not recommend high stalling the converter if the car is going to be drove regularly as it is already bloody thirsty!!! do what MRE did of holding the handbrake as well when launching and yes!!! AUTOs are much quicker than everyone thought!!!! ron

hi dru32 check out www.ngk.com.au and you should find all the info you need to check a used spark plugs. i just put in NGK iridium heat range6 in on the weekend and the car runs great. they r only around 20 bucks and already gapped at .9 ron

hi all, yesterday morning i turned on my car (still cold), and it started fine for 2 second and the rev drops a little. so i give it a small rev as usual. but suddenly the engine just sounded like it was running 4-5 cylinders?!!!! like a WRX. it shitted me so i turned it off after 5 sec. then i tried to turn it back on after a few sec and it did exactly the same thing.! i shut it off and after a minute or so i tried again, and it runs as usual!!!!!. and no problem since. what happended? is my gasket going? if you know please advise. i havnt changed the spark plugs for sometimes now. thank you in advance to all ron

hi, here are what i use. mutul 5w40 full synthetic for engine oil $56/5lt (i recommend this oil as i have tried like 5 other brands) anti freeze/boil is recommended for aluminium radiator i have auto so mutul dexron synthetic transmission fluid motul standard p/steering fluid. ron

hi, a good work shop charge around $60 in pure labour alone. so $390=6.5hr. and again this is an overall charge which includes the spark plugs checking and changing the belts. fair price i guess. im no mechanic but i do a lot of work on many cars. these are things i would do to save money as BENM said: eng oil oil filter fuel filter coolant air cleaner spark plugs transmission fluids brake fluids (more complicated) brake pads etc. and if we have trouble of doing any of the simple works we can always jump on the forum and ask others for advice. hope this is of any help ron
