  1. Telstra's wireless broadband on the laptop...not too bad and I've tried playing COD4 with it and it's bearable, haha.
  2. MinCPU: AMD64 3200+/ Intel P4 3.00Ghz Memory: 8GB free HD space, 512Mb (XP)/ 1Gb (Vista) Graphics: 3.0 shader, 256Mb GeForce 6600GT/ ATI 1600XT or better so it's slightly higher specs than COD4 Max CPU: Intel QX9775 3.2Ghz Memory: 4GB DDR3 Graphics: Nvidia GTX280 quad SLI/ ATI HD4870X2 in quad crossfire
  3. Crysis Warhead, also back onto COD4 online +1....and Far Cry 2
  4. Nah, that would be DBR9 territory....think the R35 was around 1:19's on the British track.
  5. Twas another fun night and weeak'soz your always a barrel of laughs....I have the pr0n on disc for ya mate Cheers Madaz for organising and that directors room was perfect for us. Also well done to Nightcrawler for his score.

  10. More than half the people that play cricket in the world are Asian . I use to play back in school through to part of uni...also on occassions played some indoor cricket for Blacktown in Sydney. But, yeah spending 5 odd hours of ya wkend in 40degree heat wasn't always fun...nor was facing A grade and state bowlers
  11. No probs, I'd also recommend comparing the load temps to the latest version of Real Temp (2.2) just to check that the calibration is accurate. But, don't worry if idle temps are different on Real Temp as it uses different corrective programming on idle than CoreTemp. Yeah, the tjmax 95c is an educated value from tests that the pogrammer of RealTemp did but it was mainly written for our 45nm cores in mind. Also, as long as temps are well below the tjmax value (eg. at least 20-25c distance) and stress tests like OCCT/ Orthos etc show things are stable you should be fine You can change it in some program's through settings.
  12. Yes.You'll find on load there’s a bit more a of Vdroop than on idle but, don’t fret your voltage seems perfectly fine and given that on most instances you can o/c the E8400 on stock Vcpu 1.2 in Bios setup (~1.14 CPUz) to 3.6ghz+ and supposably can handle upwards of 1.5 with v.good aircooling. Yeah I’ve asked myself the same thing as reported max stable temps for the Wolfdale is low 70c’ish and atm I have a heatsink (BlueOrb FX) which isn’t much better than stock and with the E8400 safely o/c @ 3.92ghz (1.38? in BIOS setup) my typical temps are: room 24c… 40c idle…65c load (tjmax 100c). Although on more stock settings I see idle temps in low 30c’s & 51c on load so it isn't that bad. Tjmax = junction temperature maxIt’s a sensor on a CPU which has a max temp threshold (eg. 105c) and if reached it will shutdown but the processor will normally throttle down to try prevent it from happening. From what I’ve read Intel haven’t disclosed the exact tjmax for the Wolfdale so most programs are written with an educated guesstimate but you always can calibrate the programs tjmax yourself (general consensus for the E8400 is a tjmax of 95c). So atm your tjmax is 105c on CoreTemp and if you were to change it in settings [eg. -10c = 95c] your temps will drop by a corresponding 10degrees and give more realistic temps.
  13. Yeah your temps do seem rather high with an aftermarket heatsink. How much thermal paste did you use? What's your Vcore in the BIOS setup &/or CPU-Z? and are you reading core temps off OCCT? cos, I find on default settings it doesn’t really show accurate temps and usually overstated (5+ degrees). I prefer to use ‘CoreTemp’ or ‘RealTemp’ to monitor temps and for comparisons, also, you can configure OCCT to read off one of these programs. However, you will prob find discrepancies between these two programs cos RealTemp has a default tjmax of 95c, while CoreTemp uses 100c. But, as long as the temps under load are below tjmax (25-30c difference) and everything is tested to be stable you should be fine. If temps still show to be high on stock settintgs or on a soft o/c you might want to reseat the heatsink.
  14. ^^ you wouldn't happen to know a Kelly has blonde hair - in the IT department I think?
  15. ....waits for Howie to post his results
  16. Damo - you don't fill the oil catch can up with oil unless you'd like a thick layer of oil throughout your intercooler & intake, lol. Also, even if you do experience oil blow by it's nowhere near enough to warrant for extra oil and if anything will just lead to more oil in the catch can. I have a B&M oil cooler (approx 28x20x4cm) w/~2m of hosing and can get away with a 5ltr bottle. Yeah no probs buddy, will get some more made up and give to ya at the Hackney Hotel dinner.
  17. As long as you seal up the spare fittings you should be fine but, I'm still a bit confused as to exactly what you mean. Personally, if you're not going to relocate the oil filter theirs no point in getting a relocation kit. There's 2 main types of adaptors for oil coolers as pic below:- Sandwich adaptor (non-relocation) - Relocation style kit
  18. Just to add a thermostat isn't really necessary unless you live in a cold climate place or for some reason you run really thick visc oil, as it will still get up to temp in almost the same amount of time without it. Also, most thermos don't fully close they stay partially open so as to stop air pockets forming.
  19. lol, hopefully should be able to make it mate....also I guess someone needs to head the weak'soz cheer crew, also, help defend our lefties(2) vs righties(0), and speed bowling title . Put me on the list Madaz .Craig - didn't realise you were tyring to contact me, don't think I got a PM from ya...well I can bring the banner at the dinner if you like?
  20. I is still around but don't really get much time to post. Will PM ya latter today.I've met a large majority of SAU-SA'ers (even RedGTST who seemed perfectly normal at the time), and quite a few interstate members from NSW & QLD as well. I get along with most but some have dissapeared from the forums. Would like to meet: ArenaGTR, bezender, and RubyRS4....no particular reason but just to converse with. Also, wouldn't mind catchin up with Iceduck312 & (ol' skool) 'hippy' who introduced me to SAU.
  21. Yeah, how did ya get your hands on a copy kralster. I was told the release date was this Sunday (7/9). Got a Xbox controller as a gift for the PC so currently playing Devil May Cry 4, and also Kung Fu Panda for giggles
  22. Finally got it on Tues ...went with the MSI's OC version, pretty happy with it so far. Although while I was DL the latest driver I noticed MSI have already released the HD4870X2 OC . Might wait for prices to go down, currently they're priced $650-750.
  23. Pete one of the things I do is help manage the business affairs of clients - this includes individual investment property owners to multi-million dollar property developers from various states, and with all the statements I've received from Revenue SA they've dissected the Land Tax amounts associated with each property. Anyways even if they do pool the amounts together it's not such a big hassle or difficult working it out for each property unless you have a large portfolio of properties.
  24. If you're renting it out to family, a simple independent evaluation from a land agent for an appropriate weekly rent amount should suffice. Usually involving a bit of market research of various factors (eg. a listing to see what others are charging in the area or of properties that are similar, property value, the availablilty of housing in the area, the various utility costs, your expectation of final selling price etc). You could do it yourself & document it but, land agents have more resources & can do it quicker. In SA having several properties under the same name isn't much of a prob, cos Revenue SA dissect the Land Tax payable between your properties for you. Unlike QLD where they just lump them together, but with them it's usually just a matter of apportioning the payment amount based on a % of the 'relevant unimproved value' of 'total taxable value' .
  25. Hey Ben yeah it's been awhile. Hopefully catch you and Nene at the next SAU dinner. Sorry I've edited it, it's business engrish...I'm sure Reuben will understand it
