Also how many stock R33 GTS-t's are there really. most at least have exhaust mods and maybe a little more boost.

After hearing a lot of stories about the vic cops, i've been edgy everytime im in the skyline... so far i've had it for 7 months and have only ever been pulled over once. i have been tailed quite a few times, but never given them a reason to pull me over, and they havent. Remember i'm a P plater. the one time i did get pulled over for a rutine breath test...it was all positive. the cop knew the car was over my p/w R33 GTS-T he imformed me of this and that was it, they even wished me a happy and fun night. i think that if people only ever report bad things about cops it will form a bad opinion of them and cause bad attitudes towards them...which means worse fines if someone says something based on bad cop experiences. i realise taht not all cops are like the ones i've encountered, but i just think it's worth a mention when we do get a good cop aswell as a bad one. comments or similar experiences?

if ur still planning the poker night i'll be in depending when and where or at least come for a chance to meet some of u guys

how many P platers do you see driving 33 GTS-T. there are heaps. they are over the P/W regardless of mods. the real idea behind the alw is to stop P platers getting into them and having enough power to get themselves into situations they otherwise wud not have. i got pulled over the other night for a 'random' breath test. it was the first time pulled over in my skyline (33 GTS-T) and the cops went over it tested me informed me of the p/w. they did the usual checks of licence etc and came back returned my licence and asked me to have a great night. i wasn't being an idiot i was jsut driving home. although i cud've quite easily been done for it. end of the story is that there are a lot of people driving cars that easily exceed the p/w including commos and fords. make ur INFORMED choice and live with the consiquences if u choose to overlook certain laws. my $1 worth looking at the length of it

for people who don't know much about how to play a great idea is to check out www.pacificpoker.com download the game and play with some fake money jsut so u see how the game flows and u start to understand blinds, rause, call, check and when each one is appropriate. i'd be in but it looks full, i don't know anyone from here YET , and i'm poor. i'll work on the yet part as i now have my car back

ok update... today i earthed the black wire obviously then placed the red wire on the positive battery and the gauge lit up. (it's smoke faced remember and has 7 different colors (i'll stick to plain lite up i think ) anyway i tried removing the red wire and placing the yellow on the positive and i got nothing. Does this help anyone work out wat the other wire is for. and should i connect it to a constant so it's always getting lit up when ever the car is running. where wud u splice into for this? still a little lsot on this one thank for ur help so far

does my car have a boost solenoid valve
Restless 33 replied to maccaz_gts25t's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i'm pretty sure it's compatible wit hthe Independant Electronic Boost Control Kit from Jaycar. i would advise you to get the book from Jaycar aswell (performance electronics for cars it has a yellow mazda on the front)...for only $20 i've heard it makes building the kit much easier and explains everythign a bit better with color pictures, also a good read if your into that kinda stuff. the book uses the R33 solenoid as it's demo one so i'm pretty sure it's fine to use. good luck and hope that helped. -
cheers mate i'll try that

so how should i hook it up... i was going to jsut run a t-piece into the stock boost line and use that. it needs constant power coz it's smoked face so do i use the MAP or mechanical? i tried tightening the two things over the nipple part but it didn't want to crush. i tried using some plyers to see if i could cruch it a bit but it was pretty hard. i don't wanan strip the parts trying to crush it. any more help is GREATLY appriciated thanks guys
-
also do u hook up electrical the same as mechanical? where do u get the MAP reading from?
-
pictures are now up ^^^^ the nipple things aren't the little gold things in the pic with all the parts??
-
jsut thought i'd post some pics of the gauge to help out... wats the difference between mech and electrical btw? the parts picture shows a nylon tube (white) and small black rubber tube, pressure nozzle, two tiny things that look like / ........................................ / (ignore the dots) and also a screw that looks like |_| with a whole in the bottom for the white pressure hose to fit through... the hose fits bit could be pulled out easily...eg if underpressure. any ideas thansk for the replys guys
-
the guy said it was electrical but i don't fully understand the difference...it still has a place for the pressure tube to go in...so how is that different to mechanical. i'd assume it has constant power...because it's smoke faced...eg hard to read without a back light. and the accessorie light is for when it's night time and needs to be brighter i guess.

can someone help me out i have a TIMEX smoked boost gauge with 3 wires black, yellow, red the instructions are crap and don't mention which color is for what i'd assume: Black = ground Yellow = lighting or ignition Red = lighting or ignition can someone help me out how to find out which is which also what is the best way to connect the pressure hose. there isn't much holding the hose in and it would leak if under a lot of pressure. any ideas on how to fix this? am i meant to seal it with cilicon or somethign

anyone got any ideas on this?
