  1. or go straight to an rb30dett
  2. Hi Stacey, welcome to the C110 club! Myself and Prank are looking at doing the exact same thing, a replica C110 GTR with RB20DET (or 3L). Unfortunately GTR parts are very rare and super super expensive.. but keep your eyes on the japanese yahoo auctions.. differences... external: Front Grill (can fetch anywhere up to $800 at auction) Skyline badges (c210 ones are similar), GT badges (R32/33 ones are similar) and GT-R badges (smaller than R32 ones) Front mirrors (australia spec cars had them on the door) Front and rear fenders (fibreglass flaire copies are available) Rear light cluster (with 2x red outer lenses, rather than the australian 1xred, 1 white) S20 engine (extremely rare!) and and crappy black steel wheels (seriously!) not sure if the diff and brakes etc were the same or upgraded interior Brushed aluminimum dashboard GT badges on the doors Skyline badges on dash, rather than datsun Seats are similar to Aus spec i think that is most of what i know of... i am sure there are ppl lurking here that can fill in the gaps we are trying to keep a record of our build up, so you might be interested in having a look www.project240k.com, have a look especially at the gallery. we are looking at putting an RB20DET (Nics) engine and gearbox in ours, R31 rear brake conversion for the rear, and 300ZX brakes on the front (we currently have a hybrid hilux/accord setup on the front). The Diff we are going to upgrade to an R200 from a 260Z as well, though at the moment we are going to keep unijoints rather than converting to CV's (until they break that is). Fuel system will be 1xR32 GTR pump from a surge tank, being fed by a VL fuel pump.. um.. what else... unfortunately not much work has been done to the car of late, our other "charity rally car" has taken precedence at the moment, hopefully we will get that one to the NSW S&S this year.. also, let us know if your getting any custom work done (engine mounts etc..), we may be able to help each other out
  3. Thanks, you were quick I will give them a call, any other suggestions ppl?
  4. Hi Guys, I need to get some Falcon Recaro seat rails modified to fit my Datsun 240K. Anybody got any suggestions to where i can take them to get a quality job (not that i would expect it to be a difficult task? St. Leonards or Hills area would be perfect I let my fingers do the walking, but couldn't find anything under metal fabricators.. would it be something an engineer would do as well??
  5. Alternatively, i am looking for a real nice set of 16" wheels to suite an older Datsun (C110 Skyline) something like watanabe's etc. Looking for 16" 114.3x4 PCD with fronts 8" (0 offset) and rears 8.5" (-6 offset) anyhelp finding some would be appreciated
  6. Hi guys, does anyone know of, have, or seen any real cheap ass 16" wheels for sale? Looking for 114.3x4 (to fit older datsuns, but i am sure that the GTS4's are same PCD), don't care about offset, or if the rubber is bald (as long as they have rubber), they only need to hold a car up while i build it up. steel wheels or similar would be perfect, did the GTS4 come with 16" steelies? (or S13's etc?) The cheaper the better, i am hoping for all for for Prefer pickup in Sydney or close to Thanks Guys!
  7. yeah i got to agree.. keep the skyline! you should be proud to have a C210 in that condition! besides.. just think about all the skyline related banter on SAU you will miss out on!
  8. the usual, do a search for something, get side tracked and not look at the date.. why ask?
  9. good idea, but they don't seem to stamp the mail anymore, obviously it is a little too hard!
  10. obvious question but did they do a radiator flush?there might be rust/crud in it and is the original fan shroud still there (the big black bit of plastic that attaches to the radiator, with the hole in it for the fan)
  11. there also a place called spectrum rubber.. they have a website with an online catalogue, but i have never been able to get it to work.. might be quicker ringing them.. http://www.spectrumrubber.com.au/
  12. haha, certainly looks like it! (or it could be an early beamer?) what movie is that from?
  13. please supply a price per rules..
  14. the leather looks too shiny in those photo's (i had just treated it too wich doesn't help) when in fact it isn't. it looks a lot nicer in real life
  15. not looking good guys
  16. no, my understanding is it should stop at the factory boost level (.. mine certainly does.. and there is no sign of the original boost actuator in the engine bay (the car came with mine) hopefully someone here can confirm for you, but it certainly is on mine the way i would think it works is the controller keeps the wastegate open for longer periods of time (to make more boost), when the controller is off, then the normal pressure would apply (which the wastegate is set to 0.7)???
  17. hi mate, If you turn the AVCR off (as in not setting A or B) what does it read? my understanding is it should read 0.7bar (mine does), might prove it is hooked up properly I also run it with 0.9bar, i will check what my cycles are for you when i get a chance
  18. let me know if these are still available as well, if so i will take them
  19. awesome, glad to hear it!, the L28 is a good strong engine (all L series are strong), and atleast you won't be off the road for too long let us know how it goes, take tonnes of pictures if you can, if you want you can pm me and i can host the pics for you (on project240k.com gallery), This offer is open to all C10/C110/C210 skyline projects.. just bear with me though, as i want to redo our site, just havn't found the time yet
  20. Hi Guys, i have a Zalman ZM80D passive graphics card cooler for sale, it is new, in unopened packaging. Unfortunately i bought this a day before i bought the card, and typically.. it isn't compatible with the 6600GT AusPcmarket sell them for $56.10 + shipping, will take $40 + shipping for it, so be quick! please have a look at the following link for pictures and your card's compatibility: http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/view.a...dx=138&code=013
  21. thanks, that clears that up... anyone got any clips
  22. that is what i meant, they do clip over the shafts inside the diff though don't they?
  23. Hi Guys, Does anyone have any spare inside clips that hold the drive shafts into the R200 longnose Diff? I picked up an R200 with uni-joints, but the shafts were given to me later on, and sadly they were missing the clips.. I assume it is a simple case of: take the back off the diff plop in the shafts plug the clip in put the cover back on am i right? i have never opened up a diff before, but it can't be that hard
