My name is Kent, Drive a R33 GTR (and of course it is fast cause it is white!) Work in IT (doesn't everyone?), and like cruising / learning about cars, Car audio, computers etc.. all the usual stuff! Hate theives, having to leave my car parked anywhere (sydney seems soo bad at the moment), dancing oh and of course prank. i think one of the best things about owning a skyline is seeing another skyline, and both of us breaking our necks trying to look at the others car (especially on the odd occasion when you see a chick driving one ), seriously skyline owners seem to be the friendliest bunch of poeple around.. so hopefully catch some of you guys around on the street (but not prank, cause i see him too often for my liking!), give us a wave if you do!

Hi Guys, thinking of changing my ECU, just wondering if there are any major negative effects or devices that would become disabled by using a replacement ECU such as a Power FC etc.. systems like ABS, Airbags etc... i would imagine that they would be totally seperate systems but you never know.. sorry, just got my name changed.. unfortunatly i won't be able to get there tonight, my car is in getting a new gearbox and clutch.. Will definantly take you up on that offer next time i see you though.. Any idea where to even start looking for these integra seats? what could they possibly upgrade their seats to? i have checked out as recaro's web site and they seem to be the best seat available (that hasn't got a fixed back, and fixed base, i still want those features..) Merli, what seats did you have in the car at the time of the accident (i was there unfortunatly, sad night!) where they out of an Integra or were they just bought from a recaro dealer (do you happen to know the model and if you don't mind me asking, the price?). i am entertaining the idea of replacing the seats in my GTR with them , they look awesome and probably more comfortable! i was reading a post on some BMW forum and they apparently can't lighten both the Under drive pulley and the flywheel, something about a harmonic balancer.... (what a bunch of whingers ) is this okay for our engines?

did you find any loss of performance without a heatshield/box?

I got an Apexi Power intake kit for my GTR, and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to everyone.. The instructions (although in japanese, thankgod for pictures) are easy to follow and it comes with all required brackets and moulded steel adaptors.. Much much better than my previous experiences with australian made air filters in which you have to make your own brackets etc.. took me about 1hr to fit, which included pulling the factory box out, working out instructions and hooking it all up (mind you i had to deal with 2 pods though the fit and brackets where spot on!) Also realise that for any actual improvement you may want to build a cold air induction box as well, to keep the hot air out from the engine bay. i havn't gotten around to that yet, and you can significantly feel the loss of power and response when the engine bay gets hot.. the turbo sounds awesome though and it makes the stock BOV's louder too (bonus! :-) so make sure you get all the included adaptors and instructions...

the absolutely sad thing is that with the rate things are going now.. in five years the modified car scene will be dead.. other people must realise this... what are all the performance shops / manufacturers doing? ... they won't be able to survive if this keeps heading in the direction it is heading now.. it is not only the younger drivers out here that will be effected.. a whole industry will be!??!! WTF is happening? i can understand the problem at brighton.. but this is just rediculous... does anyone know of a petition or something that can be signed up.. surely we could get enough signatures (remember that most of us vote and that is all they seem to care about these days?!)
