  1. is this for a GTR? if so i have also been told you can use the AFM's from GTST's can anyone else confirm? i was looking for Z32 AFM's a couple of months ago and they were very hard to find..
  2. i think if you buy stuff from O/S the GST is added by customs.. so nengun shouldn't have to charge GST, as for declaring proper values etc... hmm.. pass..

what was the date or edition of that 1st GTR special, i have been looking for it everywhere!
  4. can you even change the rear guards? arn't they joined to the c pillar and roof? wouldn't you have to change the front bar if you change the front side guards?
  5. oh i forgot, i think you need to cut out part of the support bar behind the bumper to fit them in R33 GTR's.. i may be wrong though, but it is worth a look
  6. from my understanding, R33 Series 3 GTR's have these in the bars as standard, of course N1 GTR's have them as well Series 1 and Series 2 R33 GTR's don't have them (unless they are aftermarket / add on) not sure on R32's or R34's.. but yeah they flow a little more air into the top of the intercooler, i guess they may even increase flow into oil coolers as well depending on where they are fitted, but it is probably too low down for that..
  7. there is a site in australia that sells some security products like the securaposts etc.. www.havealook.com.au/index.html don't know how prices compare, i would be interested to know though!
  8. bought stuff from www.takakaira.com before, takes a little while to get here but it is coming from japan, not unreasonable though. prices and range of stuff is good! you do pay a bit for shipping though.. but again that depends on what your buying etc.. you may want to organize others to buy stuff as well in the one order to minimise postage etc..
  9. yeah No problems!, just undo them with a socket set (i think from memory it is a 10?), they just screw right in (the nut is welded to the bracket so you can't loose it from memory), and don't loose the bolt then remove the trim, and if you have the black panel behind it, remove around 10 bolts, from the floor, sides, middle section etc... and the steel panel should just pull out, battery etc is just behind it.. it is quite easy, no tricky bits that pop off and get lost etc.. putting back is the reverse, just make sure you put the sway bar the right way up ( i let a friend put mine back one day and days later there was a rattling noise, the dodgy bastard had it on upside down and hadn't fully tightened the bolts ) good luck!
  10. how do you clean them? arn't they paper based filters?
  11. yeah it does, I am still getting differing stories from my insurance company though that think that they would win the battle... i just have to weight up if it is worth loosing the excess and no claim bonus over or wether it will just be cheaper to get it fixed myself. I just want others to be warned as i know even a lot of shops think that they are protected against things like this when it seems now they are not..
  12. or if you leave the car anywhere be it with someone or not, if it is broken into then it is your (and your insurance companies) problem? if this is the case, i am sure a lot of people arn't aware of this!
  13. so in other words, if the smash repairer was fully insured, then he would be able to claim for the damage to my car?
  14. so what would be the difference in liability insurance and commercial type insurance then?
  15. white rocks! have i sent you the pics?
  16. hahaha, The car is on it's way to marks as we speak, hopefully it won't take too long to get all the parts together... i will be happy when my clutch, gearbox and power fc, and my NEW dash is in just hope it isn't too hard to find the bits... i only wish i could find the bastards that did it!
  17. yeah, a police report was filed and i have the number.. this is in no way going to be the last of the matter i can assure you! i reckon in the middle of the night you wake up every 20 seconds to new message notifications in your head from SAU
  18. no not yet, that is tomorrow mornings task... (hahaha i thought you would be the first to respond!) I am so disapointed with NRMA though, when i had an accident with my caprice 2 years ago they were fine (not my fault though), even got a hire car for 2 weeks.. i guess things change over the years.. bastards!
  19. Hi Guys, Just to let you know, my car was in a smash repairers getting some minor cosmetic work done, during it's time there the smash repairer was ram raided one night for my car. They luckily didn't take the car but they did do a good job of trashing the dashboard, steering column, ignition system and speedometer cluster. (around $4k quoted in damage). The smash repairer was insured with commercial insurance through the NRMA, they have only now come back to the smash repairer (just under a month later) and rejected the claim as the smash repairer wasn't "liable". this means that i have now to either loose my no claim bonus and take it up with my insurer or pay the money out of my own pocket.. which with the premiums a young person with a turbo car , i just can't afford to loose my no claim.. not to mention that i have been without transport for a month now.. and it is likely to continue till i can get parts etc.. I will give credit to the smash repairer as he feels the same way i do about the responce NRMA has given. Be warned that if you have your car in getting work done in future, be aware that if they are insured with NRMA you may have a lot of trouble if a claim arises! I am so completely pissed off!
  20. awesome, thanks nick, I will check it out
  21. it isn't for structural work, basically just covering a front skirt (to cover the many scrapes etc.. and to make it look a little better) Can the real carbon fibre mats be applied over the top of plastic, will i need to rough the plastic up a bit for it to bond with? what does kevlar look like anyway?
  22. Hi Guys, not exactly performance related (well some may think so!) but does anyone know where to buy sheets of carbon fibre, preferably in sydney? As far as i know it is applied with heat (ie. hairdryer or similar) is this true? Thanks Kent
  23. that is some bad news! one day i hope they get whats coming to them! on a happier note, what sort of mods where done to the car to get that sort of power?
  24. sorry forgot to mention thats for endless pads
