  1. I drove it to work this morning and only noticed one very little hiccup but on the way home i was able to hold the revs at 2800rpm and it would run very slightly rough but no where as bad as with the pfc.I think I'll have to check the TPS and maybe the earths again.
  2. Hi,just to read about other peoples dramas with the PFC is an eye opener. I had my PFC fitted about 4 years ago,had an earth kit fitted beforehand with earth wire to igniter. It had the miss from day one at 80km/2600rpm but only rarely.I complained to tuner,he said cant find/see anything.Learned to live with it but over the last 6 months its gotten worse to the stage i nearly got wiped out merging on to the m4 when it started spluttering/popping etc. I dug out the stock ecu and popped it in today and what do you know it runs lovely, haven't driven it to work yet (32km)but it felt better, idled better even with the cams. when i got the car it had an earth fault to the fuel pump,i soldered a load of earths near the ecu but eventually traced it to a faulty alarm relay. I had even moved the igniter to no avail. Has anyone found any more earths to solder. my pfc is .PFC GTR33L 020-1188 Cant see what the h/c reads as the ecu is out of the car. cheers
  3. Mate the gmax in my gtr was self aligning one plate aligned over the main hub so just look at the centre when its assembled and see if it looks good or spend the money and get a dummy shaft.
  4. When i fitted a lock bar to my gtr i just took out the bulb. Why pay $ just to turn off a bulb? Anyway i think it handles better with HICAS thats why nissan fitted it. Its only in race/track situations that removal is required imho. Just try going around a roundabout with and without HICAS.
  5. Thanks for that. Yes i rang him and had a "good LONG chat" ... He's a very nice guy and knows his stuff. He really took the time to run through ALL the options with me.Looks like I'm going to use a stock flywheel and he's going to build a single plate carbonic? as my mrs is the prime suspect in the demise of the nismo twin (no slip). thanks again.
  6. Hi all, whats jim berrys phone no.? and will he be able to rebuild my r33 gtr nismo twin plate? or does he build you a new one? thanks
  7. Thanks for the info, have you got an address or phone no. for them? What sort of money did the rebuild cost?
  8. Hi everyone. Anyone know who or where i can get a rebuild kit (plates will do) for a nismo twin plate?Or some one that can rebuild it. Its the old silver pressure plate, pull type for r33 gtr. Thanks
  9. Hi mate I have a set of Tein flexs on my R33 GTR and find them great and there is lots of room to slam it to the ground if req. I like a bit of ground clearance for the front bar and had to raise it a bit but it still looks good just an inch between the top of the tyre and guard. They can be a bit on the harsh-side on rough-lumpy roads roads and can bounce the car around but more than make up for it on smooth ones when its time to hit warp speeds.my mrs drives it and never complains about the suspension being harsh,i would call it very firm. What transformed the handling and steering was getting Cusco adjustable arms (front and rear) and getting the wheel alignment set up correctly as you will have excessive camber after lowering and touchy steering(and brutal tyre wear, unless this is fixed). hope this helped
  10. I have Nismo braided lines and a Cusco master cylinder stopper on an R33 GTR and the pedal is awsome.I can get the abs to start pulsing very easily(ie wheels starting to lock up) whereas before only standing on the pedal very hard bought on the abs.well worth the money. The quality and fitting of the Nismo lines are top notch.Cusco parts are also top notch.
  11. Just saw this on the UK site,he's not real impressed with SK. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/80137-r3...ject-horny.html

  15. warning!!! skylines will start to miss and cut out when the speedo goes over 100,000km....lucky for us they ALL manage to stay between 50,000 and 75,000km! no matter how old they are.
  16. Don't forget to remove its NAILS first or it'll tear your ASS to shreds!
  17. Hi, has anyone had any BUZZING in speakers, run from an amp mounted on the strut brace bracket in the boot of an R33 GTR. I have been told this is common for R33'S and worse for GTR'S ,as the battery and computers are in the boot and the GTR fuel pump is bigger. No buzzing when speakers are run through the factory wires. The fix,i'm told,is to mount the amp away from the boot area,ie under the rear seats. BUT i cant be bothered to do this...I'v put in a noise supressor kit on the battery and no good. The amp is a fairly cheap one,can this be the cause of noise? Will a better quality/expensive amp have better noise supression? HELP ME!!
  18. NO NO NO Everyone knows, that skyline speedos are factory designed NEVER EVER to go above 99,999km! Have you ever seen a 1989 r23 gtr with a 100,000km? NO. ...MATE ITS GOT 32,000KM AND JUST HAD THE MOTOR REBUILT... . It costs $400aus (cash,no cheques please) to wind back a digital speedo.
