That’s what I'm stuck driving at the moment while I’m trying to sort out the Stagea. Notice it's exhaust sting on the trailer in the background. The throttle cable broke the other day and I had to rig up an hand throttle with welding wire to get home.

This is it. Sitting a bit nose up in that pic. I should take some decent pics some time.
And the trusty back up car. Dont Laugh

I spoke to Max today to organise getting one for myself. He wanted $500 not fitted plus freight. He said it would come with everything required including instructions. He was really busy so much so that he is going to call me back when he has a chance to arrange payment.
-
I don’t want to but I'm getting very frustrated with it now. I drove it to work today for the first time in weeks and couldn't even keep up with a Patrol along a windy road. It doesn’t help that I can get a 22% discount on any new Ford ether.

I love mine but it hasn't really been drivable since early November and I'm getting really sick of pulling it apart and trying to put it back together over and over again.
The comments from family and friends have now turned from praise to "your a fkn idiot why don't you just get a normal car", "you should have left it the way it was at least it was drivable" etc
I can see my self cracking it soon and selling it.

Or you could forget the whole Stagea idea and get a E39 BMW 540I for 40k instead. My old man just picked up an absolutely immaculate one for 40k and it pisses all over the Stagea in every respect even an 260RS. The Stagea just feels like a fat Datsun wagon in comparison. 160 grand new and only 6 years old. If I had 40k to spend on a car I would be looking at something like it even though I love Nissan’s
-
Mine came with the tunnel brace as well I dont think it is exclusive to the 260RS.
-
Yep you will need a press to push the old rubber bushes out and push the new ones in. They are a tight fit. It would probably be easies to take the car to a suspension place to have them fitted as you should get a wheel alignment done after fitting them any way.
-
Looks good. But could be a bit better painted it looks like it has been painted on the car.
I'm think I will give Max a call tomorrow.
-
Me too if I get the Stag drivable by then.

I need to pull the shocks out of my car to have some work done and probably wont have them back until mid January. I don’t have the stock shocks or anything else to put in it in the interim so probably wont be able to use the car for another month.
Dose any one in Melb have a set of stock shocks I can buy or borrow to get me mobile again?
Thanks

Let me know if you need a Stagea in Melbourne to test fit or get any measurements off.

68l tank I think

I wouldn’t mind a set the wind noise and leaks in torrential rain are a bit annoying.

Dont some of the EVO models have rear facing vents?
But vents in most applications vents are a joke and make automotive engineers laugh when goons with no idea put them in. Even many factory vents serve not purpose. In some cases exit vents in the bonnet will reduce airflow around critical areas such as the oil filter, sump, front diff and oil cooler. Raising the rear of the bonnet is just as bad the air will flow through the radiator then up across the top of the engine and out the back. It will not flow over the exhaust manifolds, turbo, oil cooler, sump, diff and gear box.

Thanks Guys Revzone looks the goods. Nice and close to home for me. I think I will try to get it into them before Christmas.

R33 mats should fit fine. The mats in my 4 door R33 were the same as in a 2 door. The floor pan is the same until behind the rear axel

Put me down for one.

Can any one recommend a good workshop in Melbourne to do a 100k service on the Stag and give the Apexi SAFC a tune?
I will probably get them to fit an adjustable Cam sprocket while they are at it.
Thanks

Thanks Gary
I am about to go raise the rear up a grove now so I wont need to trim the bump stops then.
The part numbers I have for the front spring and lower spring seat are correct but the bottom ID of the spring is 86mm.
-
I just put the rears in. It was a piss easy job to get the old coil overs out and the new Bilsteins in. I left them on the standard circlip groove 3rd from the bottom and it is sitting at about 330mm, probably a bit low so I will move them up a grove for a bit more height.
The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the bump stops. I didn’t trim them at all as SK had suggested. They didn’t look anything like the ones marked up for trimming so i wasnt sure how much to take off. It looks like it is just about sitting on the bump stops now.
Any tips on how long the bump stops should be and what end to trim?
I also assembled the fronts but didn’t put them in because the lower spring seat dose not look right at all. The spring seems too big and it is almost pushing over the spring seat. Im worried that the first bump I hit the spring will move a bit and push over the seat. Then I will be in all sorts of trouble.

Looks like a R33 brace to me

They will come with fitting instructions and everything needed to do it your self. Removing the rear bar sounds like it will be the hardest part.
