  1. Morning Mangs, TFIF Good call, I'll clean the earth wire connections while i'm at it. I'll be in the 10% that breaks it for sure . I have a spare starter somewhere, might just find it and swap it in. Yeah I can't measure the current directly with a 10A multimeter, that's why I measured the voltage with the key to 'START'. At least then you can compare the voltage with load/no load. That's what she said. Maybe if you weren't up till 1:17am on a school night, you'd be more 'aleart' in the mornings
  2. Well, going to chance it. Hope she starts again to get me home from baskins...
  3. So, Starter trigger wire is fine, because I can hear it throwing out. Belting with a heavy breaker bar didn't help (no room to swing a hammer). Voltage Readings look something like this "ON" Battery - 12V Starter Feed Wire @ Battery - 12V Starter Feed Wire @ Motor - 12V Terminal on Motor - 12V "START" Battery - 11.6V Starter Feed Wire @ Battery - 11.6V Starter Feed Wire @ Motor - 11.6V Terminal on Motor - 0V Problem with the connection of the wire to the motor? I put a jumper cable from the battery to the terminal on the motor, and she started fine. Took the jumper cable off, and it wouldn't spin again. However, a few quick turns to "START" and she kicked into life again. Now starting no problems. On the weekend I might try disconnecting the feed wire and hit it with contact cleaner then put it back on...
  4. It should, but none of us can do it. New thread maybe?
  5. I suspect the starter motor is going/gone. It goes 'click' but doesn't try to spin. Its done it once before. Will need to check the wiring is OK, and try hitting it with a hammer. I didn't have time to mess with it this morning.
  6. Wrong thread. Oh well, never mind.
  7. Morning Mangs, TFIT. Ikes Cream Tonight Stupid POS car wouldn't start this morning. Had to drive the ute and made me 15 mins late to work. F*ck 31s. Shame we don't have $1 notes any more...
  8. Dunno if it's correct, they didn't give me a print out They're going to post one to me. Geoff did do it though, so I'll go on the assumption it's correct. It feels good. (That's what she said)
  9. shoulda posted earlier, I would have. Wheels aligned. Barred Up. Great Success
  10. lol. Power is out at work. Going to pick up my car from quickfit. Kiwis on the train are funny, bru
  11. Gland nut was loose. Better Now . Need to fix it properly though, then get wheel alignment
  12. new control arms are in, noise is still there F*ck 31s...
  13. Morning Mangs, TFIF. yeah it definitely depends on the 'type' of sound deadening. Dry ice in the 31 ute cracked the stuff off no trouble, but in the alfa the heat gun worked better. Given that 32 sound deadening is probably similar to 31 stuff, I'd suggest giving dry ice a crack.
  14. If the car's ready, and if they have spots left, I'll enter on the day. Seems unlikely though
  15. d*ckheads. They got what they deserve.
  16. Lies and slander. The newsagent shuts at 8 and I have only failed to aquire a red bull from them once. But on that note, I might be a bit late tonight . Have to recover my XF on the way... I thought I was!!!
