  1. Haha somehow and miraculously I have not had to clean jizz stains off the back seats before. I've just bought an evo and there are marks on the vinyl in the interior, visually it looks like rust. I used some citrus-based cleaner at work once that got it off, but I have more to go and I no longer work on that site. I also want to clean the grime on the inside of the door jambs, and some of the engine bay. I already have 303 Aerospace and I'm sorted for general maintenance on exterior paint I have been suggested Simple Green (available at Bunnings), i think i might go to that.
  2. Hi guys, Which all purpose cleaner do you use? Preferably I can pick up in store (I've only just made a purchase from waxit.com.au) Need it for some interior spots, as well as some exterior grimy bits Cheers!
  3. I normally wash after clay barring and just buff with mircrofibre after polishing until I'm no longer bothered I'm about to make an order on waxit.com.au (which i believe is a forum seller/supporter) - if you want $10 off your first purchase, let me know and I'll send a loyalty email to you guys to redeem it (I then get 150 points to go towards something)
  4. Yeah generally I do the meguiars 3 step process, but I haven't come across this level of contamination before (only just bought this car). I'll try with the clay bar, it's just these specks are pretty damn big, I thought the clay bar was only good for the small stuff
  5. Yeah generally I do the meguiars 3 step process, but I haven't come across this level of contamination before (only just bought this car). I'll try with the clay bar, it's just these specks are pretty damn big, I thought the clay bar was only good for the small stuff
  6. Well the day didn't go as planned, after giving the evo a good 2 bucket wash, all of the scratches and tiny dings were easy to see I didn't even get to clay barring as I spent ages trying to remove all of the road tar specks (used an old, but sealed armouralll product :s) Then, I found surface rust on the boot. My plan now is to attack the tar once more, then invest in some iron x, then spend ages with the clay bar!
  7. Yeah I've heard to use washing detergent (though I think it was clothes detergent, not dishwasher?) which I used on my mits 380 without ill effects, but I've heard other opinions not to use it
  8. Hi guys, I've seen plenty of info on using claybars, but they never seem to mention which product is used to wash the car with beforehand. Currently, I'm using Meguiars Soft wash gel, as this is what I use to normally clean my car. Do you use something a little 'stronger' to help strip the paint of any waxes etc still there before you attack it with the clay bar? Thanks! Mick
  9. Hi guys, Selling a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. Had it for a couple of years, but never had a cockpit so didn't like it. *power cable not included* I lost it. $50 for all other pieces Location: Homebush/Kurrajong Heights
  10. I hate that... you go and make yourself look like a retard as you think you have an instant connection because you have similar cars, and then they shun you..
  11. 5.30pm or so, heading south on Ryde Rd near the uni and I saw a lovely white R35. Wanted to get your attention so I got into the lane next to you (bumper to bumper peak traffic) and gave the engine a little rev - I think your passenger had a heart attack lol. Blue Evo
  12. Will be after these services too on my medium-purple evo!
  13. Nearly the weekend... price drop, $2900 for my SAU brothers!
  14. Now on carsales, and has Rain-X on the windscreen http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Mazda-323-2000/SSE-AD-3008959/?Cr=0&sdmvc=1
  15. Ladies and gents, Up for sale is a very well cared for 2000 Mazda 323 Astina hatch. Vehicle has had one female, non-smoking owner its entire life and has always been parked under the carport. Meticulous husband has always ensured that servicing has been completed on time, no short cuts taken, with every service receipt included with sale of car. It was used only for simple work commutes, and therefore has an immaculate interior and basically untouched back seat. Reason for selling is an upgrade to a brand new Tiguan. Features include: FULL service history 2x Keys 6 months rego 4 near-new tyres Towbar 5 speed manual with no slip on the clutch Recently replaced suspension (Pedders) Driver airbag Central locking Alloy wheels Roof Spoiler Icy cold air conditioning Rubber floor mats Power Steering Immobiliser Kms: 291 xxx This car is ridiculously easy to drive. There are no rattles, squeaks or knocks, the engine revs happily and the new suspension components make for a smooth, quiet ride. Vehicle has just had a minor service. Of course, there is no finance owing or previous accident damage. Don’t let the high km’s deter you, as this and also the number of 323’s still on the road is a testament to their reliability and cheap running costs. I am asking $3200 Vehicle is located in Homebush. Please text Michael on oh43196554oh or pm to arrange for an inspection, or to make any enquires about the vehicle. Thank you!
  16. Well I've just run a few insurance quotes, for my R34 Just Car would insure it for $13,900 with a premium of $1200 ($1725 excess) Just did the same figures for a 2003 Evo, agreed value is $24,500 and premium is $2300 with $1725 excess. This is for under 25 male driver. That's a nasty little extra cost that i didn't foresee! At least if something happens, you get some money back.. unlike what happened with my R34 that Glasses values at $14k.. yeah right. Some of this valuation is ridiculous.
  17. I'm actually in the potential Skyline to Evo camp - but not by choice! I just had my perfect R34 GT-T stolen, and I feel despair at procuring and then modding/touching up another R34... especially as i feel that there are no 'nice' ones currently on the market (NSW/Sydney metro area). I loved having the boost hit hard, and i loved the RWD, which is why I may consider an S15 - but they just feel like a girls car compared to what i was in previously. Considering it's a daily, too, (4 doors, not particularly low suspension) I think a slightly newer Evo around the $20k mark may bring me more joy if I can't find a suitable Skyline (It would have to be perfect and a bargain for me to go interstate/import myself).
  18. FK! That's honestly heartbreaking. This is in Newington, or general Homebush area? Apparently the council/watch/ranger/management authority of Newington has a few around, we asked the question to see if they had anything of use but so far have had no luck This really scares me, because there's only so much that you can do to secure a car if you don't have a garage - i may not be able to purchase a nice car and leave it on the street anymore. Can't believe that people can steal cars for a living - they KNOW how much these vehicles mean to their owners. I'm just glad i didn't have my wallet or any other valuables in the car at the time... though I'm filthy that I had an oil and fuel filter in the boot - that's like gifting the thieves another $50!
  19. Yeah, my landlord took me for a drive around the area to see if someone had just gone for a joyride/burnouts and then dumped it... Silverwater, Olympic Park, back of Rydalmere... there's lots of areas close by that have 'shady' characteristics. As owning my own garage isn't really going to be viable for the next few years (regarding property) the next car ( :'( ) will definitely have some immobilizers/killswitches. I'm still hoping it will turn up without damage, but at the same time i'm prepared to accept that she's headed to the middle east in bits and pieces. Not the way i wanted her to go!
  20. Yes I'm absolutely shattered. Worst part is, that this was basically my dream/perfect car - it was exactly what I wanted. There's not that many RWD Turbo coupes in this price range that I can replace her with. If insurance comes through smoothly, my payout will still put me behind. It's like I'm back to square one! I'll inquire about cctv, but I don't like my chances. I just can't believe that this happened in Newington.
  21. Hi guys, I had my beautiful R34 GT-T stolen from Newington overnight. Silver coupe with dark tinted windows, spoiler and R34 GTR wheels - rego plate MWW-380. Car was parked on the street. Had a neighbour say he heard the car start up around 10:30 - 11.30 last night, found out she was missing when i went to leave for work this morning at 9am If anyone spots her or hears something, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks guys, Mick
  22. Hey, basically door seals aren't glued in, they just use suction - I had a mate at work put mine back in fairly snugly, took him 5 seconds! As for the window, it was a broken bush on the window regulator causing the back part to stay down. I purchased and fitted a new passenger regulator, but after hours of jigging around i couldn't quite get it to come up flush with the seals - it works and stays straight, but sometimes it digs into the seals. Something ill have to live with!
  23. What are the numbers looking like for tomorrow?
