  1. I tried a search but came up with nothing... How do I add a picture into my signature? Thanks.
  2. Might increase your chances a bit if you give a bit more info. How old? Previous experience? What sort of work you keen for? Were are you looking for work? Roughly how much do you want to earn? You reliable? Etc......
  3. If your going to get one, get at least a 1.0 watt. 0.5 watts are good for around 0.5 - 1.0 km, some times you get a little more and of course a liitle less. Makes a huge differance weather your in a straight line, hills, built up area with interfearance (with the low wattage)etc. I have a Uniden 0.5 watt wich I bought in a pair from Tandy for $70 only a few months ago. I wish I had of paid a liitle more for a 1.0 watt. Just remember too, like everything if you buy cheap batteries be prepared to change them every half hour, 45 mins. Deffinately look into buying one, shit loads better than calling some one or trying to yell at your mate through your windows at 100k's down the free way. If you don't go brand new or ebay check out the trading post, they often have realy good prices. I would've bought one from there my self but I was going for a cruise the next day. I have seen some good quality 5.0 watt ones around for under $200, get one of these and you'll be laughing!

    anyone going today? Sunday.
  5. if you want this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...00/ppuser/12730 maybe something can be arranged....
  6. hey it's good to see heaps of us turned up! lol Not a bad turn out for the Silvia's. Good day for it too. Just a reminder to anyone who's thinking of organising a cruise, drive it first or be familiar with were your going! Don't try and take 70 lowered cars up a country dirt road... the bloke in the s5 rx-7 would have been f_cking pised off, damn nice looking rotar.
  7. The place in ther Mt.Dandenongs is not worth the trip. I went up there about 6 years a ago. The place has been vandelised and is in a a really shitty conditiion as well as half of it been knocked down. The only scary part of going there is the locals who get extremely pissed off, my mates have been chased and I've heard rumors of peoples cars that have been attacked.

    Japan Bound

Any more tips and places to see I'd appreciate. Like I said I've got a few months to play with so the more I can nut out now, hopefully I can have a nice easier experience while over there. Rezz, I know that all cars won't be in one big single place, thats why Im anoyed to be only going for 10 days. Like you say, it's been at the right place at the right time for the right car, but knock on wood thats where Im going to be. Even if I came back with out a car at least I would have had a awesome time and have a fair idea where to search when we come home, plus have a better idea of the local market 'as such'. Im not looking to buy the first car that catches my eye, Id take a punt and say that the odds will be with us to find one. If I find a track car thats very decent for cheap Im not going to be too fussy! Differant story for my street car.

    Japan Bound

Cheers for replies fellas. I didn't realy think 10 days would be enough time, We'd like to go for a few weeks but not easy due to getting time off work as we both work at the same place. Neither of us speak Japanese so yes, Im sure we will have some difficulties. By future projects, we want to try and make a connection there. Not personaly, but I know of a bloke there who would be our likely candidate, but I don't want to keep hounding at one bloke. Don't get me wrong, Im not looking at having commercial quantities comming across but every now and then Im going to want parts etc. We heard of people picking up some tricked out s13's (track car) and what have you, for next to nothing, importers are only the tip of the ice berg. We'd like to see some yards and so on. I understand it's not a easy as to turn up, pay cash and wait for my car to arrive back in Australia. We are going to like two kids in a candy store, the hard part I'd think is actualy choosing the car of choice, just when you think you've found the right car, turn the corner and theres another 20... Money for the right car(s) is not a issue.. time to upgrade the 32.
  10. I got a blitz, same thing nice flutter in low revs, and fair loud pssch when opened up. Changed to a bigger turbo (kicks at 4000 instead of 2800) lost that noise now. I bought my car with it on, probaly wouldn't have bothered otherwise, I like the sound of just cooler but if you like it buy. Personaly I wouldn't bother with a auto especially if it's standard.
  11. I would have to be gready and bring back a few, how could stop at one? > one of those weired vans full of plasmas & couches. > 94 r32 gtr V spec ll > 02 rx7 type rb > 02 r34 gtr v spec Nur Must stop, loosing blood from brain......
  12. Yes, thank you Adam. I have seen the rx7VII in a shop in Melbourne. I f you read over my question, I ask if these drift like on the videos out of the box, how much they are in japan and if you can buy all differant shells already kitted up. I have seen various assorted shells but they are bare, and I am sure the average Jo hobby place down the road would not stock D1 sticker kits.

    Rc Drift Cars

Hi Guys or Ladies. Just wondering if you guys could shed any light on the remote control drift car scene. First of all there are a few clips floating around, and I must tell you they look awsome, with a bit of honing on the skills. What I want to know is, are they drifting these things out of the box or have they upgraded the motors and so forth. They are the electric ones not nitro, Aparantly the nitro ones don't last very long on full throttle. The manufacurer I am refering to is Yokomo. ( model - Eg. BLITZ ER34 D1 Spec). Secondly, can you readily buy shells for these Eg. r32, rx7 etc. Thirdly, what sort of prices do they fetch in Japan? Here is a link to a site with them: http://www.rcmodels.com/yokdprkos15.html There are a 4 clips you can download, check them out. I am trying to research these localy, but any help would be apppreciated.
  14. You hear of chicks who pursuede us men once we get married (etc.) to sell our beloved cars, this happend to my mate, he only had a silvia so I didn't find that too offensive. Speaking with my missus she said you know your going to get rid of that 32 when we get our house, as I was shocked and about to slap her from here to friday, she said sell it and get a 34. How beautiful... My g/friend is not really a car chick, but has always had a bit of a soft spot for skylines, so when I got mine she was always wanting to drive it anywere we went. She is even starting to love the brass button, also she has no qualms about me spending $$ on it. She appreciates what it is and loves the fact it's my pride and hobby of choice. (second to her of course, wink, wink)
  15. yeah but not every 3rd car like in qld
  16. Any way I had a riot of a time at the pub on cavill ave. Can't remember what it was called but the on with a out side 2nd level balcony on the right hand side if your facing the beach. While having a scooner and loving the sun I saw two 32's. 5561az burgundy coloured, and a silver 1 with a black bonnet, blue dash & blue flames on the rear 1/4 windows. Around 3 - 4 o'clock. By now my eyes were a bit dodgy but pretty sure the silver 32 had a sau sticker high up on the back window. I think Victoria needs meter maids too! I get the feeling Queenslander's love wrx's and small hotted up chick cars, wich I noticed were mainly driven by blokes (the chick cars that is). Only saw one other skyline and that was a black 33 with the plates starting with x..... on the fwy from the airport to Labrador around 9 am I was up at the gold coast about 8 months ago now for a holiday and I keept seeing this canary yellow 32 aronund, any one from here? would be around 20 or so.
  17. well if you guys change your mind or an opportunity arises then give us a call. Surely someone lives in the area and could do with a beer or coffee? Come on Queensland show us your hospitality.. Thanks.
  18. Hay Guys/Girls, Might be a long shot here, but im coming up from Victoria tomorrow ( 16th ) to the Gold coast just for the day. Any how, im coming up for business but it's only till lunch time. Im arriving at 8:30am and departing at 9:30pm. So I have got around 9 hours of spare time. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in a few beers or to show a Victorian the Gold coast car scene, from around lunch time onwards. Im not asking for a lift around all day then back to the airport, or a 8 hour drinking session but if any one is interested in helping me kill a few hours I would much appreciate it! Im not going to be near a computer from around 8:30 tonight so if any one is interested then please give me a call. Im going to be in the surfers area, and if you can show me to the shuttle rank back to the airport. Cheers in advance, Jules. 0403 24 24 78
  19. Totaly agree. Theres all ways one dickhead that ruins it for the rest. I have organised a cruise for this sunday down the great ocean road, I was thinking about possibly informing the police of it. Reason been, they would probably be at our meet points just to keep an eye out on whats going on, so the "hero's" don't do burnouts and what have you, so we don't suddenly become a pack of trouble cruising half way around Victoria's coast line. It's a leasure cruise to appreciate our own, and each others cars and to enjoy a nice drive on a good day, not a pack of wanker jetpilots screaming down to Lorne. I decided not to inform the police due to most people will probably be scared off.
  20. To right mate, to right. "I posted my cruise as a joke because every time people organise a cruise, other people bitch about fuel and time ( mean while if you read the forums, every one is asking why there aren't more) so I was casualy driving down the road and 15 - 20 skyline lines started following me, your honour"..... As RBN1 said, we own modified performance cars what are you doing owning one if your going to bitch about the price of fuel. What are you a fuc_ing idiot for buying a fuel guzzler? Well yes, only the people who can't afford them or bought one for the sake of owning a "skyline" ever winge.. Fair enough your not going to drive 300kms for no reason at a $1.25 a litre, but if theres a cruise going on then wash your pride and joy and take her out. I fell in love with skylineline's the first day I saw one and finally I have one to call my own, with that, knowing I would mod' it I was well aware of the cost that runs with the fun.
  21. people here have said that cops can tell a judge in court you were speeding just by the naked eye. Obviously if you are flogging it down the road your in the shit and so you should be. My argument is that if your doing 75 in a 60 and the cop wants to be a prick but has no factual evidence, I would say turn it up mate, since when have you ever heard a cop say i can judge speed by looking for a few seconds. I have a mate going through the acadamy at the moment and he said nothing about going to calder park and watching cars drive past at various speeds to become a human speed detector. BS! keep pissing in my left pocket... If you ask a member of the police force to show you the radar reading he/she must, but what if like what happend to my mate, he/she said he/she cleared it??? They had a segment on this very topic on ACA (ch.9) a few months ago. Basically it was determined that yes obviously you can fight a discretion against you in court but if you take legal aid with you, you just wasted your time. As with every suituation in courts all around the world, if you got the money you've got a bloody good chance of getting of with any crime/infringement. Easy solution, every one here become a cop, once in the brother/sisterhood you can do what you like...
  22. HA, HA, HA. I bought my car through Jsa. Yes I could probably add a few things to the list. Good or bad it doesn't matter. lol Yeah they have got some real nice cars there. But in the end, 10 people could buy from the same differant impoter and you'll never get 100% satisfaction. Like it has been stressed on here many of times, do your home work, know exactly what you are buying, get it checked out and you shouldn't have a problem. Too many people are out to make a quick buck, you can tell when people are pissing in your pocket. Just suss' them out. In the end of the day if you get a honest car for the price you paid you did well. The thing is, thats not too hard to find. What I would recomend is find a importer that offers (and keeps to there word) good after sales care. That to me is the big differance, and im sure many would agree.
