  1. Chris , check with XSpeed. There was talk a while ago about Hanson getting the FCon tuning package as he brings a lot of HKS gear in. They say the package is excellent if you can read japanese... Cheers Ken
  2. Fronts are DB1170 rears , I can't remember... Cheers Ken
  3. *Sigh* More misinformation by another person who doesn't check the full facts... The cost of a DJetro sensor and harness kit for a R32 GTR is $324 in Japan. Not quite $100 is it?? Ken
  4. There is a huge thread on SAU somewhere about Power FC. I didn't think I bit your head off but see it from our point of view. The internet is a powerful tool and your post , without checking the true facts , puts us in a bad light by suggesting that we are very expensive when in fact when it comes to power FC tuning in Perth , we are actually the cheapest of the known shops. There are group buys on Power FC's ( also on here ) for $950 from Japan direct which is a killer deal and we are happy to fit and tune them for you at $450. Apology accepted :) hehehe Cheers Ken
  5. If you can get a DJetro off Ebay , brand new , with the harness pack and MAP sensors then I will have 4 of them please. You are looking at a std Power FC or maybe the DJetro minus the essential MAP kit. For STD power FC's we charge $1700 supplied , fitted and tuned with an Australian warranty or $450 to fit and tune if you supply the power FC ( but not the DJetro). Please get your facts right . Cheers Ken
  6. It is the exhaust overheat sensor which brings the light on the dash up if the cat gets too hot. Nothing to worry about and seems to have absolutely no effect on the vehicle. You will have to find a suitable plug to screw into the hole on the new cat as exhaust gas will leak out. Cheers Ken
  7. Sorry Kylie , wasn't meant to be a dig back at you , just stating the facts of what we do as opposed to some other shops that may only change the oil and filter and not use a full synthetic. Yes , I was the old fart who originally looked at the belts and then Andrew came out and put some stuff on. Cheers Ken
  8. Yes Kylie but what oil are you using? Last time I priced Auto one or even Coventrys full synthetic Mobil oil was $65 per 5L and a Nissan filter was $15. Based on that then the balance has to cover oil disposal , getting the car on the hoist , checking all fluids under the car , tyre pressures, check all supension, brake pads , lights , hoses , give a report and small top ups such as power steering fluid etc. Yep , these import shops are a ripoff if all they are doing is changing the oil but if it's a minor service ( which is what the above is classed as at our shop then I think that's reasonable value. Actually we charge $150 plus GST for the above. Cheers Ken
  9. yep Nissan sell them Bout $550 Or pit Stop bookshop Bout $500 Or someone probably has an illegal download somewhere... Cheers Ken
  10. Extra $50 if it's a push type ( ie. pre 2/93 usually ) or extra $250 if it's pull type. Cheers Ken
  11. Extreme 9 puck cushioned button with antiburst cover. $850 supplied , fitted with machined flywheel and includes new thrust bearing. Have them in everything from SR's to GTR's and will hold up to 350-400rwhp. Extra $30 if your gearstick boot seal is leaking which 90% of them do. Cheers Ken
  12. We all have plenty of love of Lauren , just that Paul won't let us Happy Birthday babe. Cheers Ken
  13. Have tried to stay out of this thread but the one sided bagging that 3 of the better Perth shops are copping from this aggro little boy are starting to piss me off. Firstly , our only involvement was organising the purchase of the JUN kit at near 1/2 new price and Brad, you picked it up direct from the customer so if anything was left behind then whose fault was it ? Secondly , we then arranged for the machining and checking of clearances to be done by one of the best guys in the business and was done for no markup. Thirdly , every mechanic knows that the golden rule is cleanliness and that includes the crank. If you had cleaned it out, you would have known that the grub screws were missing. Your father rang and informed us of the problem to which we rang and tracked down that neither ourselves or the machinist had the missing plugs and suggested you contact the original supplier to which he thanked us. This is after you have spent 13 pages trying to say that us and 2 other shops are useless. You then rung the original supplier ( on his old number I might add) , didn't listen to the message which gave his new number and then proceeded to think it was some sort of conspiracy yet again. You also owed him some money for the injectors you purchased and I have been informed by them your words were " If you reckon you are gonna get your money , forget it" That attitude and your paranoia about some conspiracy against you is some of the reason these "Keyboard warriors" as you call them are all set to line up and shoot you down. Personally , I don't care whether your engine makes 10hp or 1000hp , it is your constant bagging that is annoying a lot more people than just me or the other 2 guys ( and yes, you know who they are ). I wish Steve all the best with tuning it and hope that IF it blows up while he is extracting the power due to the severe lack of oil pressure, he doesn't join the ranks of the " useless Perth Workshops". There are some tough cars built here in WA by all of the shops you have bagged and there are many happy customers as well. Have you worked out what the common denominator is yet? I suggest you look in the mirror for the answer. Ken
  14. Jason should be happy with it we reckon. He is due to walk in the door soon straight from London and we have capped the rwhp at 410 on 15psi. Apart from some poncams , the rest of the engine internals are stock so fingers crossed Cheers Ken
  15. So what makes you think the 4wd is not working then ?? The R32 will slide the back out when doing ..err... spirited driving . If you are expecting it to handle like a WRX , ie. fairly neutral then you will be mistaken. It will also spin the rear tyre a bit then the gauge should shoot up as the front engages on a savage launch. If it is very slow to rise or only rises a bit , it may need bleeding or at worst the clutch packs may be gone in the transfer case. Cheers Ken
  16. Perth Brake Parts would be my first call. Cheers Ken
  17. Liz!! Ya gotcha bum out !! Who says the girl wasn't trying, good onya Cheers Ken
  18. Michael , I can't be stuffed waiting for Japland to send one so if you will take $1050 for it , bring it round. I think you know where we are. Cheers Ken
  19. Josh , we don't want to start quoting prices until I am happy the turbo's we are using are up to it. Drift testing soon shows up any weakness
  20. One of our custom made hiflo ones using a stock R33 GTS-T turbo. No mods to be needed and dump bolts straight up. $1600 which sounds expensive except every other turbo avaliable requires dump/intake or water line changes. We weld the gate up and run external gate mounted on a stock manifold. Relatively cheap but a little laggy atm until we sort of few other things out. And yes , it is on stock internals and running 16-17psi. Cheers Ken
  21. As above , need a pair of sunvisors with the retaing clips and screws plus the kick panel cover trims. These are the ones that cover the computer on the left and the matching one on the right. Reason is I have sold the car and the new owner doesn't want the cage hence need to replace the missing bits. Email me at [email protected] or ring me at work on 089 209 3100
  22. Cost of retuning is no different than any other computer. Rate is $140ph on the dyno and takes about the same time as tuning an Autronic/motec/wolf/power FC. 300rwhp is achievable , I have 290rwhp in an RB20 with low mount and external gate. ( Well I did till the turbo blew on Saturday night ) Cheers Ken
  23. Did you drive it sensibly for 500Km to let everything bed in ? And do you have enough free travel at the top of the pedal ? We have fitted and sold dozens of these things with no problem. However , that is not to say they may have made a boo boo . Cheers Ken
  24. Cost would be a factor. AP engineering Power FC ( required for an RB20 ) would be around $1300-$1400 plus tuning of $450 ish. Remap including supplying the necessary board hardware is around $880 all up including tune. Any retuning is based on an hourly rate same as tuning any computer and both Lucas's Bikiroms and Glenn's Lumpyroms have had considerable success in high power applications . Lee Sampsons 470 rwhp SR20 DET and 11.18 1/4 mile on a Lumpy rom is testament to that. Or Adam Trewhellas RB25 Cefiro with 365 rwhp and stays on the rev limiter for most of the Wanners drift track. Only down side is in WA you are limited to the 2 shops above as Denver mentioned so if you hate us both , your in trouble for retunes Cheers Ken
