  4. almost, but still about 5k cheaper (in my personal expererience) it does require alot of patients but it will be worth (so i am told ) i have a friend with one  hes blown his gearbox up 3 times!!! to me it sounds like a good reason to STEAR CLEAR (no offence to gtir lovers) also i have seen lately on prestige that the r33's have the compliance included in the price and are still very cheap, so i could only assume that something has been worked out with compliance with non standard parts he he enjoy the ride....at least while you dont actually have.... your ride
  5. *out of the shodows he lunges, slams his hands on the table* I must be under a F@#king storm cloud or something!!!!! 1. dotars give me the root around with import approval 2. car natuarally sits in japan for maximum time before being put on ship 3. car naturally takes the longest time it can at sea 4. fortune smiles upon me with a fairly quick quarentine process (lets see whats not there on pick up) 5. only to find out it could take 2 WEEKS!!!! to get on a truck from bris to syd!!! (i could fly up there get a permit and drive it down faster!!!) 6. still got compliance to go (c'mon lady luck:)) *composes himself* got two weeks till i can drive a car again (nasty police man) with a little bit of fortune i may have been able to drive my car home from sydney the day i get my licence back but it doesnt look like the fairy tale ending is gunna happen... oh woe is me, someone please tell me your heart break story to dullen my pain :'(
  6. yeah soz steveL dont mean to place blame (it never helps anything anyway ) Fingers crossed it gets processed quickly. Thankfully I contacted my agent (Prestige) a few days before sending and he advised me that DOTARS had started asking for de-registration papers (or similar proof) and quickly gave me a copy of them to include obviously asking for de reg papers hasnt always been high on their list but apparently now it is, just anoyed, this has put my car about 3 weeks behind. i sent my papers in june car only arrived on sep 1st so its still in qld as we speek.
  7. when i sent mine they didnt inform me that i need de rego papers. So i would ring them and make sure they're doing their job (no offence im sure their job sucks as much as mine) i rang them the day after i shouldve received my approval and thats when they (finally) told me they needed the papers which i had to wait to receive needless to say im still waiting for my car which i should have right now.... not long to go now though
  8. here is my car....hopefully as far as i know its all type bodykit i should be able to touch it by the end of september
  9. thats right im a bumb ass i dont even have my car yet, but ill be getting straight into the mods parts of things, the turbo will probably be one of the last things i do, but i wanna know what i should be looking at/for (i will be buying a brand newy). now i see that HKS have their 'gt'2530, 2535's etc. and GREDDY have TD-O5's and the like, but im not REALLY sure what any of that stuff means i want good power without to much boost (about 8-11psi) or lag. the car already has a 3inche exhaust, air pod, got the clutch to hold up to all this. ill be getting intercooler, AFM, computer/boost controller (hopefully in one unit), in that order. im aiming for about 220rwkw ive been looking through prices etc, so ive got that info its just what they do thats got me stuffed eg, how an actuator works, size of housing, size of impellors.... the list goes on thanks for all your help again
  10. thanks heaps for the pics. i guess it could be worse :| ill live in hope that maybe they forget to do it or they at least do a DAMN good job of it. thanks for the support in theses hard times
  11. thats what i thought because it was so far around i didnt think it would need it. anyone with pics would be cool though i cant recall ever seeing a r32 with side indicators, so im hoping and praying (and im not a religious man) that i dont need them
  12. just reading a post saying at compliance ill have to get side indicaters installed!!! I dont want that, my car is pretty as it is!! why would i have to do such a thing? could someone plz show me what they are gunna do to my "roger riceburner" (thats my car:))?
  13. try www.prestigemotorsport.com it takes a little longer but its definately worth the wait have a look at both available and sold vehicles as there are some good examples of what he can get for you
  14. pretty sure meggala has, i think hes got info about it on his site http://www.meggala.com/
  15. - HICAS, ABS, 4 spotters, finned alloy cover LSD - i would agree with this, - GTR style wheel, digital climate, premium sound system - gtst's and gtr's share the same mags man i dont even now waht a front spoiler i though im pretty sure the "pods" are a big thing though (being only on better models) but this is only through my experience (though i had to look at a $#@#! load of cars before getting mine) which is a type m, its in the gallery

    Importing costs?

sory about the timing but next time maybe try http://www.takakaira.com/ they're based in japan but are set up to send stuff anywhere, i havent used them yet but thats where ill be going to get some of my stuff. their prices are excellent too (this is not a paid endorcement ) i noticed on their site they had about 4 different ways to send things so they could work it out to be the cheapest for you.. once again sorry about the timing, maybe next time
  17. got this info from meggala (oh mightiest of lords of all things NISSAN): Type M turbo bigger 4 spot brakes LSD strong transmission Type S non turbo higher trim level alloy wheels sunroof Type J non turbo normal trim non alloy wheels no sunroof through my own research as well ive found that yes the body kit is quite a bit different larger side skirts and front bar, ive seen some 'non type-M's' and they can look abit ugly if nothing's been done to the body
