  1. this is a big hey y'all to the country members between sydney and melbourne, just thought maybe we should come out of the sheds and represent the country boys (and girls) could we just get a show of interest to all get together in a location more in the middle of both the big cities???? reply and we'll see how we go
  2. hate to stray off course a little, but also what are the physical differences between non turbo and turbo computers?
  3. turns out that in fact there was just an earth in the AFM wiring, which was telling the comp that there was constantly X amount of air flowing past it at all times, there fore it would only inject so much fuel, no matter how many revs the engine was doing. hence the leaning out at 4k and over hopefully all better today
  4. LMAO!!!! man that's just like my manual, but i need to find the button that makes it stop melting turbos.... its not in the back of your manual is it?
  5. heres a newbie car - rb20det / hcr32 problem - turbo eater cause - first turbo weeping head gasket spitting water onto turbo, second turbo bad tuning overheated exhaust wheel which then contacted the housing causing it to jam, third turbo bad tuning again (not my fault i swear) ceramic exhaust wheel shattered on old secondhand turbo... tune - 3inche exhaust, greddy fmic, hks airpod, and some really dodgy fix up wiring thanks to previous japanese owner... got the car a month and a half ago with the first turbo already dead and dieing, got new head gasket and brand new t28 hybrid with steel wheels and melted it to the housing, got the 3rd in the mean time turbo (second hand) drove it for about 50kms and pop! got told by my mechanic later that it was only reading about 3 of 15 sensors or something like that, still trying to get to the bottom of whats goin on... hope to tell some good news soon...
  6. tlc is good new head gasket and turbo is a little bit excesive. but good in the long run save upgrading turbo later good excuse to tell the misses too
  7. on the other hand, i bought my 89 gtst through prestige, looked awsome in the pics, and the condition notes said all was good. HA HA heres the kick in the teeth, i went to collect the car to see it with bald tyres, missing an indicater (found in the boot), parker lights not working, no water, crack in the front bar (not in pics, i looked) and a terrible miss in the engine. after later examining the car found it was pissing water out of the head gasket staight onto the turbo cracking it (still waiting for replacemnet), im a happy person so i still love my car i just wouldve rathered not go through all this stuff. WHEN i do it again, i will be getting a under 15 year old car through sevs, i think it takes alot of the aingst out of it and at least a grade 4 auction value
  8. fuses are all good, no voltage at tail lights. brake lights work... pulled all those big blue things out, the 4 next to the fuses and 2 in the engine bay but had no effect, head lights and high beams work as well as indicators... the plugs at the light switch thingy was burnt out thanks to dodgy jappo wiring, i replaced that, checked the voltage at the switch and everything was good there, so its somewhere in between.... thanks for the responce
  9. help me please?!?!?!!? my parkers and tail lights dont work. ive checked the switch, tested for voltage at the tail lights, if anyone could help me with just a little bit of the wiring diagram for the lights (for r32 gtst) i would name my first born child after you!!!

  14. lol, i would but i just cant afford the postage fees
  15. ummm. back to the question at hand.... i would start with full turbo back exhaust, pod filter, intercooler, boost controller then see how ya go from there. if that doesnt rock your socks go to the computer, fuel stuff and i think youd just about have your KW's

  23. ask geoff at prestige, he has a few people in each major city, he so helpful
  24. i would also be careful how long it stays on the docks, $60 a night in storage fees!!! bloody criminal but im getting mine complied at a place just near the docks he said he would hold it there till its put on a truck ( hes been so nice!!!! MOTORGUARD John Weatherall (07) 3868 4910) shameless plug there, but i rang him told him what was goin on and he worked his ass off to pick the car up look look little sig
  25. it may not even Necessarily go to sydney either (but dont sweat). I bought my car in feb (its a july build) sent papers away 30th of june i'm so smart , but then had a stuff around with dotars, cost me about 2 weeks. Now im due to get my licence back on the 27th of this month (car was sposed to be in my hands with time spare for modding). The car got here in time but then i find out theres a waiting list to get my car on a truck to deliver. So i got in touch with Geoff from prestige to get a compliance peep in brisy, called them and they where more than happy to pick the car up off the docks, comply and hold on to it untill it can be put on a truck (to avoid storage fees which they neglected to mention) and they were CHEAPER!!!! lucky for me to nothing was stolen!!!! (a small win for the little guy) expecting car in about a week remind me why we do thins to ourselves???
