  1. Thanks ferni.. certainly does help. I think I'll pocket the $500-$600 odd and spend it on something more worthwhile. B)
  2. I'm in the same situation at the moment.. clutch needs replacing 'cause it's stuffed and I'm thinking about doing the lightened flywheel at the same time. Since the car is a daily driver more than anything else I really didn't want to go under 5kg. UAS have one at 6kg but I called them up today and they said they won't have any for a few months (at best). I can't be bothered waiting that long so I'm considering the option of just machining the stock one down a bit.. maybe shave off a kilo or so. Don't really know what a safe limit is but I'll get someone that knows what they're doing to do it. Anyone else have their opinions on this?
  3. C&B, I've received my clutch although I still need to pick it up from the post office as they missed me. For anyone thinking of buying from C&B don't hestitate! These clutches are a great buy and Mario is an excellent person to deal with. Mario, any chance you can get your hands on lightened flywheels for a good price? Hoping to get one so it can go in at the same time as the clutch. Cheers.
  4. C & B, will this group buy last until at least the end of this week? I need a clutch, just have to organise the cash. Cheers.
  5. Well done Merli for organising an awesome dinner. Loved the mussells!
  6. Got any pics? and same as r33zilla, where'd you get brand new series II headlights with zeons? Only place I've been able to find brand new headlights for the series 2 gts-t is nissan.. and you'd have to be willing to sell body parts just to get them!
  7. I just installed one of these batteries from wrxhoon today and so far so good. I have to highly recommended wrxhoon, he's a great person to do business with and I'll have no hesitation in buying from him again.
  8. wrxhoon, I'm interested in one of these batteries. You have a pm
  9. I'm IN!!! (x2 please) Just had a look at their menu online...mmmmmm :uh-huh:
  10. Meeting time at maccas is 6:30am sharp. Here's the link to the relevant thread... SnS Macca's Meetup See you there!
  11. It's at Mingara Recreation Club, Tumbi Umbi Central Coast. The SAU home page has the thread for it with all the info you need Been a bit lazy and haven't sent my entry form in yet but hopefully that'll get done tomorrow. I'll probably be in the Best R33 category and by entering everyone also gets in the people's choice category.. so that's two I'll be in. I personlly think I've got buckleys chance of winning anything but hey.. it's all for fun and just seeing a whole group of skylines together again will be awesome! More than happy to take if you want.. but you should be entering your car too!!! Let me know anyway.
  12. Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll check those things out and see how I go. Admittedly I haven't checked basic stuff yet (like fuses) because the conductive strips on the rear window actually look stuffed. Even when I had my tinting done the guy doing said that it looks like the last person who pulled the last lot of tint off actually ended up removed parts of the strips with it
  13. This sounds like it'll be awesome I'm in.. just have to send in my entry form and pay for the show. :cooldance
  14. Hi everyone, The rear window demister on my R33 gts-t isn't working and I'm just about 100% sure it's because the conductive strips on the window itself are stuffed. The condition of the strips on the window didn't look great when I bough the car last year as they're likely to have been damaged by previous window tinting work. I'm just wondering if anyone here has any recommendations/tips on repairing the demister? Some quick hunting around on the net reveals that there are some rear demister kits or repair kits. Does anyone have any experience with these? Also, if the strips are repaired should they go on the window (ie the glass) before any tinting or is it okay to put them on top of the tint?
  15. Sorry.. I'm an idiot. When I searched yellow pages I was looking for "Hiraku" not "Hikaru". :looney: oh well.. found it in the end! was a great dinner
  16. VERY interested! Let us know dates and price.
  17. .. I take back what I said before.. we're on our way!
  18. ...same.. I can't find the oxford street address either. But I know where Oxford Square is (which is where this resturant is supposed to be). I was planning to just rock up there and hopefully either find the resturant or see one of you guys floating around.
  19. Top cruise Nick Jen and I enjoyed it, even though the weather was poor. Hope to do it again soon!
  20. hahaha.. yeah that was me. I saw your car on the road with the boot open but didn't see you until it was almost too late.. I gave the horn a quick toot and you probably thought.. "who's that weirdo?" j/k
  21. Put me down as a definate .. plus my other half too! See you all there.
  22. If I'm free that night (still a bit early to say) I'm in for sure!
  23. umm.. well is there a category for most stock looking car? That's probably all I have a chance of winning!
  24. Hi all.. I reckon this cold gearbox problem must be a skyline thing 'cause mine from 1st to 2nd on a cold morning is not very nice. As someone mentioned before, double clutching helps but after about 5-10mins driving around it's all sweet. Not long ago I put Royal Purple max gear in both the gearbox and diff. It did improve my gearbox on the cold starts as it now takes less time to become smooth.. and when it is smooth it's much better than it used to be Gizmo73 also used Royal Purple and he reckons it also improved his gearbox over the Redline Shockproof.
