  1. I have finally tracked down and bought an HKS cast iron single turbo, low mount, remote wastegate manifold, in the USA. Hopefully it will be with me soon. I want to fit a similar turbo to it to that that HKS supply in their TO4Z single turbo kit, but not pay HKS prices. What ball bearing turbo will have similar flow figures to that? I am thinking GT40? Must be TO4 flange, ball bearing centre section, divided turbine housing flange, remote wastegate. looking for 600 BHP. Engine is all steel with 280 degree Tomei cams, on Motec M800. Stock plenum, 2.6 litre, ported head. Cheers. Car is for track day usage, in a 2WD R33 GTS-t. Any more power would be silly / useless, the things bad enough with 440 BHP Thanks for looking.
  2. Someone has e-mailed me to say it looks like a Cusco RS type. In which case I should be able to rotate the pressure rings and convert from 2 way to 1.5 way myself, with no parts needed.
  3. This LSD came ina R33 GTS-t I bought, can you ID it please, and if so are they convertible from 2 way to 1.5 way? It's set up as a 2 way at the moment. Thanks http://www.newbury-house.com/diff/diff.html
  4. I sell Cometic ones here in the UK, don't know if you have these in Oz? Top quality, fitted to loads of RB25 and RB26 motors over here. Much cheaper than the Jap brands. Various thicknesses, and bore sizes.
  5. Looking for Bilstein Sport dampers for 95 GTS-t R33. Fronts: B46-1873 Rears: B46-1916 Prices please if anyone has stock. I am in the UK, so a carriage charge would be good, otherwise I might be able to arrange shipping from this end. Initially looking for one set of front and rear, will want more in future, Thanks. 7. Sydney Kid says Trust used to make a single turbo, remote wastegate CAST IRON turbo manifold for the RB26 head bolt pattern. Anyone got pics of one? I believe HKS also made one, too. In fact I already have a new RB25 T3 flange, single turbo one, but I believe they also made an RB26 one, too, with a T4 flange? I also have an IHI flanged Apexi cast on one, dual drilled by Apxi to fit either head (clever, but I have always rated Apexi stuff..).Anyone know of any other RB26 ones, or even better still, has one for sale, or knows of one for sale? I would give a surprising amount of money for an RB26 one with a T4 flange or an Apexi one! Thanks. Sydney Kid had never seen the Apexi one, not being one to not share stuff, here's some pics of mine ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/apexi Thanks for any replies. I am in the UK, but if I can find a cast iron manifold in good nick I will pay shipping and make it a painless transaction!
  8. Circuit usage, on an RB25DET, same happened when I ran an RB26DETT. The emissions *rap is removed, so the intake isn't breathing crankcase fumes. The 2 cam cover stubs vent to a catch can. The valved breather that normally goes to intake plenum is blanked off. I run the oil about 1/8 inch over the full mark to help prevent surge. The oil loss is quite high, over a 20 minute on circuit session, on race rubber I lose about 1 litre or so of oil to the catch tank. The engine is perfect, no blow by, and has a Tomei oil gallery restrictor fitted in the gallery up to the head. I believe this is a common issue on race RB engines. I was thinking of making a shallow catch can to go OVER the plug cover area, between the cams, and either allow excess oil to drain back down into the breather stubs, or down a flexible tube into the dip stick tube (without the dipstick in it... ) What have others done to address this excess oil in the top end of the engine? Thanks.
  9. Having taken my modded GTS-t out at Donington today various teethng troubles were highlighted. It needs MUCH heavier anti roll bars. I think I can use a GTR one at the rear, but a GTR front bar is a very different shape. Apart from Whitelin who else does a hefty front bar for an R33 GTS-t? I am probably going to need 27 to 30 mm diameter, assuming stock shape. Thanks. Does Nismo do anything?
  10. I made everything myself, front brakes are from a Porsche 962 Le Mans Group C car, on AP fully floating discs and home made bells and brackets. Rears are Aston Martin DB9 calipers on AP discs and home made bells and brackets. Pics are around in ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv along with other bits and bobs and the engine in build. I work in the race car game, so get hold of some useful bits and pieces for my own projects, from time to time!
  11. Thanks for the speedy reply. I have made adjustable castor rods from stock ones, and adjustable bottom arms, I was going to add some more positive caster. I intend trying 7 degrees each side. Centering is a bit weak as it is, and more caster should add dynamic negative camber too. Appreciate your feedback, cheers. Pics of my efforts at: ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/R33GTST_Modded_F...Lower_Wishbones and ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/R33GTST_Front_Suspension_Mods
  12. Has anyone got the factory stock front castor and maybe KPI figures for an R33 GTS-t please? I have made some adjustable parts for my front suspension and want to add a bit more castor than stock, but I now suddenly realize I don't know what the stock figure is.... Thanks.
  13. Wanted: APEXI (only an Apexi, nothing else) top mount CAST IRON RX-6 type RB25 / RB26 turbo manifold or kit. Very good money paid for undamaged unit. Will pay cash and arrange collection for a painless transaction. The Apexi cast iron manifolds are dual drilled to fit both RB25 and RB26 head stud manifold patterns. Thanks. [email protected]
  14. Different master cylinders, don't know about the servo itself, amybe the same, just don't know. The small unit behind the clutch naster cylinder is its own small servo, to make the pedal lighter. Neat huh! Anyone adapted one to another vehicle?
  15. I am still desperately searching for a CAST IRON single turbo, remote wastegate exhaust manifold for either an RB25DET or RB26DETT, Apexi or HKS one would be great. The Apexi one was dual drilled to fit either head, and I have one on my RB25DET engine, but need another similar thing for my virtually finished RB26DETT. I asked ages ago and found nothing. Would be willing to pay a GOOD price for one if it's worth your while searching amongst your contacts. Would buy bare manifold, or even complete with turbo and wastegate, but must be a CAST IRON one. Thanks I have funds and am able to make a snap decision, travel, pay shipping costs and arrange carriage, whatever

  17. Here's a screenshot of one of the menus, as an example.
  18. Datalogic software is pretty flakey even when used on a laptop with a true serial port ( I have several vesrions, legitametley bought here in the UK). On a port adaptor using USB you add a further unreliability factor in. On the dyno the other day I tried 4 laptops with true serial ports before i could get a reliable map tracer cursor function, and even then it died occassionally. I can get no reponse from Dtalogitregarding this, and their members only user forum hasn't had any offcial Datalogit input for a long time. It's very frustrating. I am tempted to buy the legit Apexi Pro software and dongle, but a pal is having trouble loading it, there ar all sorts of tricks needed to load it on a none Japanese Windows PC. I have it loaded on my UK PC, without a dongle, and it is a LOT, LOT more powerful than Datalogit, if I can eventaull access its full functionality. I can post screen shots if someone wants to see them. I am trying to buy a datalogit interface box for the 2JZ-GTE Supra, with no success, it's frustrating not being able to spend money with Datalogit... See my later thread re Jap verion of Power FC software. This FC Tune looks interesting, I assume it's not actually on sale with the interface box yet, though? Cheers.
  19. A friend has recently bought the legit Power FC software and dongle from either Nengun or Whiteline in Japan, I can't remember which. There was a thread either here, or on one of the other Skyline sites, ages ago, documenting some "tricks" to getting it to load, when a hooky version was being touted about. I succeeded in loading it, by, I think, using some jap characters in the directory name. However, a lot of the menus have random characters in them. If I were to buy the legit version does anyone know if this can be worked around? My friend has not even succeeded in loading his copy yet. Anyone got to grips with this yet? Thanks!
  20. Thanks Roy, that's saved a bit of hassle, much appreciated!
  21. To save me stripping it off the car does anyone know the bore size of a stock R33 GTS-t brake master cylinder please? The information is to help me calculate sizes for a dual master cylinder, none servo set up, with bias balance bar I am trying to make. Thanks.
  22. Also, the next crank i have done will have hollow big end journals, all the aftermarket cranks seem unduly heavy, compared to what can nowadays be achieved with CAD.
  23. The next engine i build will have a longer rod and the pin under the oil ring, I agree, it could be improved and should make more power due to less thrust loading.
  24. Does anyone know of a cast iron, single turbo, remote wastegate manifold still available for the RB26? I know HKS used to apparently do TO4 flange high and low mount cast iron single turbo manifolds, and I already have an Apexi RX-6 kit with a cast iron Apexi logoed manifold. But that's on an engine I want to keep intact, in fact it's on an RB25, as the Apexi cast manifolds are dual drilled to fit both RB25 and RB26 stud patterns. I am really desperate to find one, I am told Apexi have now stopped doing turbo stuff, and HKS stopped making the cast iron manifolds some time ago. Anyone got any info as to where i can find one, new or used please? Thanks. Good money paid!
