  1. They are exactly the same as the vl comm ones. Nissan ones are more expensive. I just bought the holden one - you won't need a part number just go in. Cheers
  2. We've got a na r31 rb30 skyline bottom end @ home with piston oil squirters (conrod). Might be one of the rare ones?
  3. The car is getting a compression/leakdown test fellas. I can assure you that this is a strong engine/solid car. I saw a lot of dogs when searching for a good '33 3 years ago. Some even had rust coming out of the strut towers/seams in the engine bays. Plenty of resprays and cars that had been in accidents too.
  4. Genuine immaculate car here guys. Reasonable offers considered
  5. I'll be keenly interested in seeing how it goes with the larger exhaust housing! Slyr33 is running the same turbo and making about 287rwkw with a built bottom end - I'm surprised your're maing over 300 with the standard compression ratio (even though cams can change this) Mine definately drops boost earlier than you - there probably would be a gain in changing my wastegate spring too. I've also thought hard about a 3litre - it would get rid of the loss of torque that's for sure! I take it that you're using the standard exhaust manifold? Another couple of questions: What ignition timing are you using at the highest load point you are hitting? I'm at 17 degrees at load point 16. Are you using the HKS dump that comes with the turbo kit? Cheers
  6. We used the liquid coppermix stuff - can't remember waht brand it was but can find out if you want. After doing around 3000k's now there hasn't been any problems with my 2835. Cheers
  7. I DOUBT THESE ARE GOOD FOR 25 - 27 PSI. I'M SURE THERE'S ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT WITH MY SET UP! GREPIN ARE YOU RUNNING A STANDARD BOTTOM END/COMPRESSION RATIO? AT WHAT RPM ARE YOU MAKING THIS 22PSI? ARE YOU RUNNING THE APEXI BOOST CONTROL KIT? MINE REALLY TAKES OFF AT AROUND 4000 RPM, BUT CAN'T HOLD MORE THAN ABOUT 16 PSI UP THE TOP END. REALLY INTERESTED IN YOUR SET UP - GREAT POWER - I WONDER HOW THINGS WOULD GO FOR ME WITH THE BIGGEST PON CAMS POSSIBLE (HYDRAULIC) AND AN OIL CATCH CAN? CHEERS!
  8. OR NEAREST OFFER
  9. Are you sure the gate is opening? Mine drops off boost to about 16 psi in the top end but I thought it was just running out of puff so to speak? Great power figure though - 45rwkw more than me! Stock unopened engine for me though. Cheers
  10. Price drop 23000

  12. Hi Kore, Just out of interest did you buy your car with the engine buggered or did you bugger it yourself?? Just it seems like there was a lot wrong with it - hell the block had cracks in it!? Did it run out of coolant or oil some stage in its life? Just interested as I've got an rb30 in bits at home which looks fine and it's done over 400 000 kays! Even the big ends look great - you could just get bearings, rings, a hone and it'll be fine. Nice write up - I want to do a rb30 bottom end one day! Cheers
  13. Guess it depends on how little boost you want to run. With my 2835pro s kit the wastegate hits the dump too which I thought was a bit dodgy but I've never tried to run less than 15psi so I wouldn't know how it will go on lower boost settings. Shouldn't be a worry although with my old stock turbo setup with custom dump the wastegate could open as far as it wanted. Is your dump a HKS one?
  14. Hi all, Just was interested in what you all think about stickying a rb30 det turbo upgrade thread???? Thought it would be good to see some results posted up in a sticky section as this thread is way too long now to go through. It'd be really interesting to see what power levels these rb30's are making! Cheers
  15. Very nice car jlnewton and so fresh so clean! I've decided that I want a series 2 manual turbo - I've been talking with an importer and he's on the lookout for a car identical to the grey one you had jlnewton. The series 2's finished in 97 didn't they? Also am throwing around the idea of getting a na gts4 manual - does anyone know here if the 33 gts4's had the same driveline as the gtr's and brakes at least as good as the turbos?? Cheers!!
  16. r33 gtst hks 2835 pro s kit, stock exh manifoid 550 cc nismos z32 AFM apexi pfc + boost control kit K&N airfilter in stock airbox 4'' cat 3'' exh no oil catch can 341.9 rwhp or 255 rwkw @ 19 psi boost
  17. You can get an 044 to fit internal - I've got 1 in my '33. Bit more stuffing around but possible.
  18. What I said - I'd go for the 8's - I will next time I do it - just not now though as my 7's are pretty new! The guy I did my last dyno runs with said he's using 8's on a couple of supercharged Vt V8's no worries - you really want to get as far away from detonation as possible.
  19. Mafia - I'd go to a heat range 8 - a few guys have said I should do this if I get new plugs. Don't think cold start ups will be a problem up in Makay - I've got the 7's and have had no probs - sometimes a bit of a missfire on cold winter mornings but nothing to worry about.
