  1. From r32's onwards they do this from factory - I remember looking at this when wiring up an rb20. Cheers
  2. Hi fellas, Still in box - I imported it from Japan and it arrived on wednesday - I don't want it as I've got other plans for my car. Excellent bolt on cat back for your skyline - beautifully made. Full stainless steel. Gasket and bolts included. Jasma approved and stamped so they are less than 93 decibels. Quite light too. Price: $800 or nearest offer. You can't buy these for this price in AUS. Location: Gympie Queensland - will deliver free personally to Brissie and postage can be organised. Phone: 0754816229
  3. Out of interest where was the air temp sensor when you did the two runs? Just interested as I did the same thing but both runs were the same - for both my runs the air temp sensor was on the flat panel filter. Cheers.
  4. Photoshop might be your friend. My mate did this for me - I started with this: And stuck these on: Cheers
  5. That wheel looks nice - I've found with my 33 that you need the biggest diameter, width and dish you can fit to make them look good. 33's are a hard car to get the right rims for - I think I stuffed up when I bought mine. Here's a link to tempe tyres packages. http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products.asp?...2FSilver%2FGold
  6. I had a friend who fitted a haltech to a sr20 silvia and it wouldn't idle either - it had 800cc or 850cc sards in it and in the end they ended up putting smaller injectors as no-one could get it to idle nicely. I'll ask him how it's going now. Cheers
  7. Are you kidding?? Where do you go to buy a good camera from? I buy japanese if possible. Sure a lot of stuff is made in other countries now but the japs started it. I'd much rather own a japanese car of the 90's than some of the local crap - my 1994 gtst's electronic components haven't missed a beat in 4 years of ownership and the same goes for the 1988 nissan silvia I owned before. Compare a 90's gtst to a ford falcon of the same era and the falcon will lose reliability wise - mechanically and electrically from leaky oil seals to electronic autos that go crazy. Most electronic problems people get with nissans are caused by dodgy workmanship ie. butchering the loom to fit an aftermarket computer. I recently helped pull an engine out of a 94 vs commo v6 - so many stupid ideas mechanically and electrically it was unbelievable. The japanese build quality from wiring to mechanical components to the electric windows is far superior. Pfc's are the best computer you can buy for a skyline bang for buck - if you want to compare it to other aftermarket computers you'll have to go back a lot of years as pfc's have been around for a long time now. And look for a computer that's the same price that you can just plug in and drive away with + 15 rwkw and nice maps. I think you'll be looking for a long time. As for v8 supercars making huge power - give any large capacity engine strong components, good breathing, high rpm, good tuning from the latest top quality expensive aftermarket computer - of course it will make big power.
  8. Stupid question BUT have you replaced the airfilter? My dad and I did a rb20 conversion in to a r31 - it had no go at all - the airfilter looked ok but we changed it and straight away you could hear the turbo and it had some go. Cheers
  9. They probably found it easier to fit their upgraded turbo kits with pods instead of the airbox + the pods look and sound cool
  10. Did you end up fitting a kit R33S2?
  11. Hi there, I did it on the dyno and absolutely NO difference. 254 rwkw power runs - stock airbox with K&N flat panel filter one run, then we removed the top of the airbox and flat panel filter so NO RESTRICTION WHATSOEVER and the same 254 rwkw power output - both runs done with the BONNET UP so no temp differences either. The turbo is 2835pros kit so has fabricated aluminium turbo intake pipe which mates up with the stock airbox. Around these power levels pods are a waste of time/money unless you like to hear the turbo/blow off valve - and in a lot of cases poeple will see a decrease in power due to the engine sucking hotter air. Cheers
  12. Did they allow you to be around the car whilst it was dynoed? I hate the idea of having to sit in reception or whatever while they tune your car. I've always helped out on dyno sessions - I'm interested as I'll need a tune in a few weeks in Brissy. Cheers
  13. Yep VL spigot bushes are the same and about 10 dollars Cheers
  14. For your exhaust housing and manifold if coating inside make sure it's the black high temp stuff - or it will flake off. Cheers
  15. Ok worked it out - an amasing watch at the Nurnburngring at the end - that driver is so on the ball - didn't think too much of the pommie beginning though. If we did those speeds on aussie motorways you'd be in goal!
  16. Hi fellas, I'm a torrent noob and don't know what I'm doing. I just spent 12 hours downloading the torrent and now it's seeding?? What does seeding mean as it doesn't seem to expalin it very well in help? I think it means people are now downloading the torrent from me?? Also how do I watch the movie now as I don't want to do something wrong and lose my movie. Cheers
  17. Not sure about emanage. You have to look at the price I spose - if there's only a few hundred between adapting a gtr pfc and emanage I know what I'd go for assuming you're running a rb20.
  18. Have you wired the wastegate fully open and taken it for a drive? Just to be sure that the wastegate is opening fully? There's definatly no leaks on your wastegate acuator feed? I had this problem on a silvia which resulted in uncontrolled boost and all the wastegate hoses had hose clamps on them. I saw that cubes had a stock rb20 turbo on a rb30 and wired the gate fully open for the run in and only managed 6psi boost. It'd be a bugger to do all this and find the wastegate wasn't opening properly in the first place - a pretty obvious thing to look for though. Cheers
  19. 1. Yes but no adjustment with remap 2. yes 3. Sometimes 4. Apparently some do with adjustable fpr but I wouldn't recommend it 5. 215rwkw x 1.34 = 288rwhp add 10% drivetrain loss x 1.1 = 316 horsepower @ the flywheel roughly. Some people say drive train losses are more than 10% - more like 18% - I'm sure someone knows better. If I were you and had a 480 hp turbo fitted I'd get an apexi pfc. Not really expensive but allows you to do so much more. Also a lot of remappers don't have real time emulators so can only do changes to your maps with the engine switched off. Unless the tuner's really on the ball the tune most likely won't be as good as one done with aftermarket engine managment. Cheers
  20. I've got the blitz LM on my r33 gtst. You don't have to do any body metalwork BUT you'll have to hack your front bar up - I ended up pulling the bar apart too separating the metal backing from the plastic bar and trimming from there. You'll need an angle grinder with cutting wheel or an air saw - I started with nothing but a hacksaw and file and what a bitch. Take your time and check and double check before cutting. A blitz lm should be fine for 350rwkw. Cheers
  21. Hi there, I've just ordered the hks hi power silent for my r33 gtst - will be about 6 weeks until we'll fit - I'm hoping it'll be less droney than the existing one. Cheers
  22. I've got potenza 275/17/45's on my series 1 r33. They're close to the guards but don't scrape - I doubt you'd get 295's under there although I'm not sure on what offset I've got.
  23. Thanks for posting up the pictures - I've been away from the computer for xmas so only just found your reply. I'm thinking seriously about getting the high power silent - will post up how it sounds if I do. Cheers
  24. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=12339 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=12340 Not the best pictures but from what I can remember the 2835 comp housing was pretty close to the manifold - I could get my dad to measure for you if you want.
  25. Got to agree there, I've allways thought that - I've allways been annoyed with the short first gear - to keep up with the Jonses in commo taxis etc you end up doing 4000rpm gear changes 1st to 2nd all day long - gets annoying all day everyday and must be a bit hard on the synchros stopping the gears all the time. My best rb lazy drive was my old clapped out vl na 5 speed - heaps of tourque and you weren't doing first to second gear changes in the first 10 metres. Cheers
