Hi all, I was just browsing J-spec web site and this Sport looking mini Van call TOYOTA PORTE 150R come up, its kinda look funky yet economical but i've never heard of these things before, what the heck are they? PORTE at J-SPEC

Kind of make sense mate BUT, Evo VI regardless still a secondhand car, if not has been trashed badly from Japan so the condition will never be the same where the XR5's test is latest and realistic. Offcourse Evo will be faster but i said the responsive almost felt the same. I've never actually get to driven the MPS but Mazda has good reputation too so i won't doubt that it won't be good either. As for skylines, i think i know them pretty well, in fact i LOVE it , i had a 13s R33gtst for over 3years, then an 11sec R32 gtr for 3 years as well and both time are on street tires too. Nothing beat a straight SIX in top end. For some reason, i still don't believe that the XR5 clock a 15.2 over the quater because my little Starlet Gt hit a 15.8 with just cat back zorst and the XR5 definately felt much faster than my Starlet, just a thought though.

I'd compare it to something like an EVO VI with full exhaust, its very very close to the EVO VI in term of response. Its has masive brake and handle alright too, though the TYPE R cost much more isn't it?

Good engine response, turbo kicks in Hard, rev hard and brake is excellent. Very good for a stocker though its still a front wheel drive. Oh also come with a 1.2bar boost gauge, along with oil temp and oil presure, 6speed close ratio box. You beauty.

Its auto WITH paddle shift! Also it will be sold in the US and Japan first i think.

Yeap, I've seen Racepace GTR at Sandown, also my fav of all time workshop. I've heard, read about UAS ZX, pretty hardcore as well but it runs on SLICK, full time attack car but none of these workshops are really into TIME ATTACK theme if you know what i meant, the Jap way. We'd love to see all these cars get together and flog the crap out of Sandown to see who's the fastest, just like Tsukuba time attack that BMI organise every now and then, would be MAD.
