same.. down to about $50 i think in the end.. i was impressed by the estimate. Compliance like everybody says can vary way too much as it can depend on the vehicle. In mine I need to replace the rear tyres (bald) and the brakes need attention. These, items that need replacing weren't in the original estimate, but budgetted and thought of. Always budget for a set of 4x GOOD tyres, and 4x GOOD brake pads, and a full service (i.e. replace anything that can be pulled off and replaced cheaply).. in the very least One of the reasons I wish to do my own compliance is that I can choose a bit better exactly what tyres I put on there, what brakes, and changing any basic things such as oil and water as I see fit. Its possible I could get away with not doing the brakes but why bother if they are borderline, stopping a car is a good idea. under SEVS (younger than 15 years) no modifcations.. under 15 year rule, modifications have to be engineer certifiable.

Repco quoted me $100 each for the rear sides.. they had them in stock.. saved you running around town. Its possible you don't need them for an r32.. both my rears are lap-sash and have ELR-VW written on them, which means they are probably fine up here in QLD. Center not sure about, but if you get it engineered as a "4 seater" (as my old r33, and most i have seen), then I'd imagine you can just take it out. Really you'll need to ring up whoever is signing off on the car in your state to find out whether they even need to be replaced or not. I'm starting to think I may not even need to .. another $few hundred saved.

no aircon in the r31.. no aircon inside gave up and went to the pool for a couple of hours..

I don't think they are required.. maybe as they wrap around, they are visible from the side also? mine doesn't have them either and I wondered about that. Not really up for drilling holes in perfectly nice guards.

lol.. he used to have a coupe.. just an idea.. maybe remove the rear wiper? Always thought they were a bit pointless, and spoils the smoothness of the rear of a spoiler-less boot.

r32's are great.. well they look good and have a much more compact / sporty feel To be honest though I am not sure of the room.. in the back of my r32 (coupe) there is barely enough room for feet & legs. Its only slightly larger than the supra type "decoration" back seat. I can't recall whether the 4door R32 are much larger (could well be), but maybe an R33 4 door might not be so stupid. You can test fit some wheels on mine anytime if you want to, not that it can it drive further than the driveway at the moment but you can judge how they fit.. i'm about 5 mins from u-mart

and those beautiful beaches are hard on the eyes too.. you'd want to watch out for sunburn too being closer to the equator there.. man sounds terrible! car looks nice though.. keeping it clean and subtle - good work.. I reckon i can talk my brother into buying a 4door turbo down in melb give me time.. lol

speaking of jedi.. i wish this damn KOTOR2 would download.. favourite game of early this year.. and best storyline in game for many years. hope the 2nd is as good.
