chasers got a 1JZ-GTE engine.. 2.5L twin turbo - exact same as soarer. PFC are available for them, internals good for 350rwkw stock.. fairly big as drift cars in japan. oz: mid 80's jap spec version? the 80's versions are meant to blow a bit though.

yeah.. i might import something else to play with in the interium.. something 1989 till the rule ends..i heard complkiance wouldn't be ready until the end of this year/start of next on chasers

Oz: what year Z ?? early 70's ?? they are awesome, but not sure how they'd handle. the advantage of doing an RB30DET in an R31 is that the engine can always be put into something else later on.

and seeing as i have a s2 block.. RB30 bottom ends are good for lots of things later on

chaser would be different - never seen a tourerV on the roads around here yet.. sure they're around but i havent seen any

yeah.. the r31 is just a toy to **** around with, sorta 'in between' cars to get around with. Its getting turbo'ed now for fun.. i bought a VLT manifold and cross over today off somebody, on its way next week. Will collect other VLT bits and pieces over the next few months. See how long it lasts before the engine blows.. i had a crazy plan (one of many)..

i still want a chaser though as my main "nice" car.. for a while anyhow, till i have the capital to buy full-sik GTR

nobody would want to get in the back seat of that thing anyhow.. one day if i keep it for a whilei am thinking of just migrating it into a track car. Will see. haha.. chess always sucks if you play the computer, it always wins and there is no satisfaction in beating just a computer.

you're not gonna get less coz the tyres are screwd.. they were hardly great anyhow.. dum de dum.. not much.. took the back seats out of the 31 to save some weight.. cleaned the r33 and the engine bay..

i have the carbon fibre/chrome nismo one as well.. looks like a popular choice the old nismo shifters.

ok, i popped back before i do go out to the shops hehe.. well 150rwkw should be fairly achieveable with most VL turbo bits and RB25DET turbo. Quite a few others have done it with good results, and most of it I should be able to DIY (its just bolting on stuff after all). So yeah, it could be fun (and importantly it will be cheap)

lots of costs and its sending me too backward, finding it really hard to save any money. Its a great car, but i want to move onto some other things, and be debt free for a while. Also i guess its not just not "right" for where i am now.. its a lot different to when i was in melb. Then I worked 20mins away, had a lockup garage, earned a fair bit more money, etc, etc. Its going in for Gavin treatment on the 8th which should give it back its mojo and make me not scared to drive it, but i'm not going to rush to sell it. Hopefully that takes a couple of months so i can continue to enjoy it.

basically means its already got the water and oil return feeds in it.. just needs them bolted in.. this is gonna get scary but incredibly fun at the same time
