  1. jimmy m -- i think importing would be a better choice, like you say. Hopefully the engine is all good and no problems there, and you can spend the money you have saved for a few mods or making it look nicer. As long as you have a little extra in the bank, sounds all good to me. The best thing about the R32 is the RB20DET engines and parts are so cheap.. $500 maybe for a gearbox, $1500 for a new engine. So much cheaper than R33 major parts. All are readily available, and there are other options if you want to take them later (RB25DET, RB25DET gearbox, etc). Good luck!
  2. Have 4x GTS-X rims off an R31 import skyline. 15x6.5". 4x114.3 stud pattern. 2 rims have Yokohama Advan 205/60R15 tyres with about 70% tread (as shown). Pretty good tyres. Each bare rim is 7kg, so fairly lightweight also. Rims are in pretty good condition, and would probably come up nicely powdercoated or the like. Can remove the centre caps for "generic" look for other 4 stud vehicles. Should fit silivas, aussie r31, n/a skylines, etc. Suit drifing, drag, burnouts or the like. Was going to put them on my r31, but need the cash at the moment. Asking $250 or highest offer If interested, PM, email: [email protected] or call 0417 016 326
  3. Blitz style sideskirts for R33. Been prepped and shouldn't require too much to be fitted. Supplied by DMD in Brisbane. It is recommended that these guys fit and paint them. I am in Brisbane, but can maybe deliver them in immediate Brisbane or Goldcoast area. Asking $200.. paid $300. If interested, PM, email [email protected] or ph: 0417 016 326

    Dyno Day

Well I turned up a bit later in the day and whacked the ol' R31 on there. For $30 how could you go wrong. Ended up putting out 71rwkw and w/ 594nM of torque (not too shabby)... What a beast!! Not too bad, considering the motor in it at present has put out about 200,000km I think, and the diff is completely hammered. Highest 6cylinder n/a put out 88rwkw I think (another r31) Special thanks to the SVD club for organising a well planned day!
  5. ba..they're all friggin balanced on one wheel on the ground anyhow.. you can see before they launch. Thats all they're setup to do Now if they got *into* the air, and maybe launched a satellite or two, now that *would* be cool.
  6. hey shane.. i see you there.. lurking.. how is your car going? do you have it back yet? MJ also wants to do a fuel pump in a week or two.. so if u still want to do yours, we'll have another dodgy mechanic day somewhere
  7. hello?
  8. how many other cars have you owned before the one you importing? i reckon if you've owned a few cars and have ****ed around with them a bit previously will help. if you don't like tinkering with cars a import could just piss you off.. Dunno
  9. nope..definitely around 70-80km.. then again its got all these flashy gizmos in it.. dunno what they do
  10. $2.. and what the **** is an fd3??
  11. ur right.. but oh well.. a good GTR will always be worth something
  12. oh..also i forgot.. the damn petrol consumption. When my R31 which is 8 years older than my r33, and 3L for that matter gets about 120km on $10 of petrol, my r33 gets a pissy 70km you gotta wonder! Highway driving. Expensive over time
  13. If your sole goal is to make money, there is always the risk you'll only get what its worth. And it may take months of stuffing around, buyers wasting your time, blah de ****ing blah. Selling a car is a prick, and every ass wants to "get a deal" and pay less than its worth. And if everybody else knows that you probably got it for like $17-18k they're not going to pay $27k for it when they can import it themselves! Buyers will buy on condition (and age) and you don't really know that is until it gets here. Could all look good in photos and reports, but the engine could be foobar'ed.. nobody is even going to pay $18k for a GTR with foobar'ed engine unless they've really got grand plans for it. So you just have to wait.. The *only* way it would be worth more, would be if/when the import laws change to restrict 15 year cars. Then as no more can come in you might be able to make a profit. Maybe you shouldn't be so rash next time....
  14. the autolock thingo shits my passengers where you go above 20km/hr - but that is their problem not mine.. therefore i care little chef_32.. what you don't use the passenger override thingo.. that is fun sometimes
  15. Zac: oh you so are organising it? will be interesting anyhow to see who does turn up. squizz is gonna be in rocky.. twoquik: got my car back last night. Came up nicely.. thanx for the recommendation!
  16. 30years? bullshit.. $30k loan will take about 5 years at $300 a fortnight.. not that bad.. and last i checked the price of an R33 GTR was about the same as an aussie S15
  17. Looks like fun and games is going on in VIC. BRACKS OWNED BIGTIME! i love it!! :Owned: I couldn't help laugh at that one.. Now if they retrospectively have to refund license points and fines.. and even compensation for those who lost their license and couldn't drive for x months due to x points of their 12 being taken up by faulty cameras. Opens a massive minefield. Lawyers will be on fire, and for once I am happy to say "go lawyers, unleash hell" http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/05/...4289819895.html I know a few of you boys should be finding out whether you've been done on any of those cameras. It could have made the difference between losing your license when you did and not. Wonder how many dollars are at stake here. A few hundred mill could push the budget into defecit - where it should otherwise be if it wasn't for bracks living off speeding fines alone.
  18. just move to QLD.. you get all your points back..
  19. i been to dyno days like that before "come one come all.." posted on 20 different boards. Comes to the day and there is like 100 cars waiting to be dyno'ed and 2 hours or something to do it.. not gonna happen!
  20. i'm going to dyno day.. looks like its gonna be pretty packed out. Who knows who else they invited along.
  21. see that is why if you hang around at aspley, milton, or wherever ever else everybody else hangs out its only a matter of time.. and hence why we taking the piss in that thread
  22. 1500km in e one weekend is a bit rough though.. either that or hardcore i guess
  23. Anybody see these? If only i had a money tree I'd buy them in an instant. http://www.nengun.com/product_info.php?pro...93&currency=AUD
