Took the car out for a test lap last night, diff feels so much nicer to drive with now that the nismo oil is out - It's still pinchy in car parks which is to be expected with an aftermarket LSD, but all the clunking and carrying on is gone, beautiful to drive with now, feels like it's meant to.

    I've also ordered some new brake fluid, I'm going to try the Project Mu G/Four 335 as the $8 repco special copped an absolute beating at wakefield and i should probably replace it - It's a bit pricey, but I'm a big fan of Project Mu and their gear, it's never let me down so I'm happy to give it a go, I'll report back on that later.

  2. Had some time to kill today so decided to change the diff oil in the car! I've gotta replace my engine oil too, but waiting for the oil cooler to arrive to do that job.

    Pretty easy job really, jack up the back of the car and pop it on stands, remove the filler bolt and then the drain bolt and catch the oil in a pan, try not to spill it, it's thick and smelly.

    I'm going to try 80-140w it might be too heavy but I'm not really sure. I've driven my friends car with the same diff with 75-90 and it's ok but nowhere near as "bitey" as I'm used to. If it's too heavy I'll drop it and put 75-90w in.. I bought both

    Anyway, use your oil pumpy bottle to pump oil into the diff until it starts coming out of the fill bolt like so.

    Put the fill bolt back in and snug it down nice and tight, then wipe up the mess to keep your diff nice and clean :)

    I've also ordered an oil cooler kit as I plan to do more and more track days in the near future, very exciting!

    I'm also pretty set on selling my recliner brides and getting a fixed back for the drivers seat, driving my mates R32 with a fixed back immediately after driving my car has changed my perception big time! I guess we'll see what happens :)

  4. Car has been awesome, finished off some track day prep before heading down for a private Wakefield day and had a blast!

    With the car on 4 stands from doing the brake fluid I put the wheels in another car and dropped them at the tyre shop for a set of Hankook RS4 Tyres which have been great so far!

    Car performed perfectly, no complaints at all! It was a fun day of getting used to the car on the track, this is the first time I've been back at Wakefield with the new diff and suspension setup so it was very interesting. I also swapped cars with a friend for part of the day which is an r32 gts-t which was good fun.

    I recently bought a new set of headlights to install, but other than that the car is just running perfectly! :)

  5. I'm not here to bash so ease up.

    I've done the RB25 swap thing, it's a headache but thankfully I have a friend who's an electrician and he gave me a lot of help along the way.

    The physical engine swap is easy, there's a tonne of info online but I'll agree the wiring is difficult.

    If you're not confident with the wiring why not just contact a shop who specializes in this kind of stuff? Just save up some money and get the job done once and get it done right. There's no shame in that and then you know the job's done.

    I'm not sure where you're located, but if you're in NSW JEZ (the pretty well known tuner) can apparently modify the RB20 loom to run a 25 and I assume will use a nistune to run the VCT gear which would make this headache a non-issue for you.

    Seriously though, this is an old thread/post and passive aggressively demanding answers isn't the way to get help. Start a new thread, show us what you've tried and what's not working with detailed information and the collective brains here will do their best to help. Revise your approach and you'll find what you're after.

    It's a shame you've called the most active/informed users here out on this thread because I doubt they will want to help you going forward, but who knows.

  6. Correct, the gauges are a pretty quick way to see if it's a GT-T or not, however this is also pretty easy for someone to swap into a GT.

    The second bits are not as easy, the GT-T also have fork type rear shocks like the R33 GT-R and bigger brakes than the GT model but I'd just check the VIN as mentioned above.

    In terms of the tail lights, the 4 door R34 have a different tail light boot and rear bar design to the 2 door. GT/GT-T doesn't matter in this regard.

  7. There's no easy way to do this job, just get to work pulling the manifold off. There are a bunch of photos all over various forums but seeing a photo of them doesn't make this job any easier.

    The problem isn't finding the hoses, it's reaching them with tools.

    Careful with the ebay kits, I believe the R33 and Neo hoses are different, I'm sure you can make it work but just keep it in mind.
