  6. I recently dealt with UAS and on a whole i was impressed with the service. There was a slight hiccup with the work that i had requested to have done, but they quickly rectified the situation proffesionally. the mechanics there really know what they're doing and did quality work. they were also the bearers of some bad news but i cant hold that against them overall i found the staff friendly and John did well to explain the situation to me and really took the time (while he was quite busy) to try to help. will be going back.

  9. Yeah mate, i wont be running that high boost much of the time, only on the dyno and possibly if i ever take it to the drags. turbo is a bit of a mystery, another reason i'm taking it to the place its being tuned is to find out. its either a t04 or GT30. it is rated a 600hp though
  10. Thanks INASNT and all who replied. By my calculations 1.5bar is approx 23psi. right or worng? So according to the answers here that is more than the BOV can handle theoretically. Will it do any damage if i pump 1.5bar through it on 1 occasion?

  13. i've heard the stock bov on a skyline can handle about 1bar of boost right? what would happen if you exceeded that, say to 1.5bar going for a dyno run on friday and want to run 1.5 but then will wind it down quite a lot for everyday driving, so the question, is it alright to exceed the 1bar limit occasionally?

  15. turbo starts to spool at about 3500, i like it there gives me a bit more fun if i dont want to boost it getting a tune next week to find out exactly what type it is but it is rated at 600hp
  16. Hi all. I am relatively new to turbo engines so i'm not sure if what i am experiencing is normal. getting a little bit of lag when giving it a lot of juice then shifting. only half a second or so but it feels really weird. Is it cause i've got a rather large turbo and i'm only running low boost at the moment? not that big a fuss but would like ideas on how to eliminte it. will an aftermarket BOV do the job? Cheers

  19. what do these clips look like? so you suggest making sure all screws are off and then just yank away carefully.
  20. thanks anyway boys, i misunderstood and took a shot. i was after a secondhand silver s1 bonnet so i didnt have to get the one i just found painted, keep an eye out for one if you want. Very sorry for the blatant thread hijack.
