  1. im in bankstown. i dont like cruising without my line though
  2. its out of my hands mate! Aarons got a bit of a wait on them
  3. yeah mate, no doubt welding would be stronger. clearer pics:
  4. it shouldnt be leaking at all. use more tape or get some decent bolts. im going to go around some engineering shops to get the same thread type and material as the ones on the pressure/temp senders.. i never leaked with those... i only ever leaked once when putting it on by using them dodgy aluminium bolts they give for unused holes. theyre shit house.
  5. righteo.. ive got some pics of the end result. seems though the oil lines arent copper. the guy i sent it to couldnt get braze to stick and thought it might be steel so he welded it as if he was welding to stainless steel, and it also isnt a copperey colour after he cleaned it up.. as you can see, it looks like stainless steel.
  6. could be blown oil seal on your turbo.
  7. i went and dropped off my oil line to get brazed. apparently you need a brass plug to sit inside the 6mm hole, then braze around that so the braze has something to adhere to. its costing me $40 from an engineering workshop, theyre brazing and cleaning it all up for me to be ready to be bolted up. i probably could've gotten it cheaper somewhere else but i wanted it done properly as im very pedantic when it comes to my car.
  8. they wont sell something that will leak, they just dont specify that you need thread tape. same here.
  9. for anyone who went and noticed the dudes with little rc cars drifting around a track, a member made a little vid compilation of the weekend. im a member and its pretty fun wacking on some pvc or abs piping onto a rc car and getting it sideways. its like if something breaks, it wont mean pulling the motor out, even if it does its only an electric one! heres the vid, just right click and save as... clicky
  10. you'll need thread tape around the new oil pressure sender as well as the bolts that plug the holes you arent using.
  11. id still say it had to do with your ignition. look into it. see if you're getting spark, pull your spark plugs and coil packs out, put the spark plugs into the coil pack as if they were in the car, hold it close to your motor so the spark can reach metal (to earth itself) and watch out for the spark while someone cranks your motor. do that to all of them, for the ones that arent firing swap the coil pack over with one that is firing. that will help you figure out if its a coil pack/spark plug or not.
  12. yeah sounds to me like its a problem with spark/ignition. the bang could be from the loads of unburnt fuel in your exhaust hitting your cat or something (backfire). so look at things like plugs, coils, cas, etc.
  13. i would but i really dont want to be driving a lancer with skylines all around me, ill get depressed.
  14. im out at this stage. my cars got no turbo and my BM has bald tyres.
  15. my car did that once my turbo oil seal started getting worse, so it could be your turbo as well as worn bearings/faulty gauge. dont write it off as a faulty gauge without checking. if you want to check if you've done your turbo oil seal then disconnect the piping at the lowest point of the plumbing and check for oil.
  16. it was me. i wanted to see if my car would beat a magna. but i ended up beating a cop car too. im so cool right now lawl.
  17. im heading down sunday
  18. i got it off using a 1/4" rachet set with long extension and swivel head attachment.
  19. over there -----> whos in?
  20. i've got 1 or 2 power converters. just plug into cigarette lighter and converts into 240v AC that i was using for the ps2 in my m3. but now ive got one laying around since its out now. im not sure if we can hook up a few with extensions and a power board (with the car running ofcorse). its just an idea though.
  21. spotted 2GU UP on george st at around 7:30 tonight. probably doing a formal drop off like i was. i was in my white m3.. i had the top down.
  22. got them mate. thanks
  23. happy birthday mate
  24. took me around 45mins. 8hrs is a bit much dude.
