actually - part 2... with that much money why are you chasing a 180? like -what do you WANT it for? if you're looking to track it or something then fine go for it... but if it's a daily driver... ... then... go S14? or S15? or even series 3 soarer? i'm just putting it out there.. this fits your budget.. it's a better built car and it's an absolute steal... LEATHER man!!! the series 3 soarer are amazing cars... this guy initially wanted 19K for this but is despo to sell.. why pay 13K for a 180 when you can have THAT???

REALLY wrong haha 13K will get you a good one... personally i suggest with THAT sort of coin i would be looking into S14 or S15... just cos it's newer and has more comfort features... i still stand by on eveyrthing i said about the 180 though.. they're a very simple simple car with nothing that goes wrong on them - because... there's not much ON them to begin with... but - i would greatly appreciate it if you would help ME... by asking questions that you want to know about them... because i don't know to what extent you do / dont know help us help you and sorry for the misunderstanding haha

it depends if the inspector says it can be rego'd or not if it can't be - the inspector will tell you what needs to be done personally if i was your inspector i'd tell you to lose the cage. you're not impressing anybody. and i'd make you eat your steering wheel and put the original one back on. you know, the one it's SUPPOSED to have. WITH THE AIRBAG. (no serioulsy - get rid of the toy and put the airbag back on, you'll need that to pass pits. and rightly so)

also, watch out for cars that have been left out in the open.. it's a telltale sign that the dash is cracked. (haaaa rowan IS funny, see?) serioulsy - 180's cos SFA. (that stands for sweet fruit all) if the dash is cracked - buy a new one. if a seat rips - replace it. the 180sx is soooooooooooooooooo simple of a car... it comes from a time where cars DIDNT HAVE.. cruisecontrol.. cvvt.. elec seats, GPS, EMS, ABS, SRS, VVT, SMS, BBQ etc etc ^^^that's terrible english, i mean the 180sx is a very simplistic car.. it literally is turn key and go. there's an accelerator, a brake, a clutch and a gearbox with only 5 gears. all those features come standard with the 180sx... and they even have steering wheels too... to make sure you complete your journey safely there's no "common issues" with them because they are about as technically advanced as a Gemini. they just happen to have cult status which keeps their value high.. =)

the running costs of a 180sx are comparable to a skyline to be honest.. you said "before i throw 5K at some smartie" is your budget only 5K??? if so... increase your budget, man... like, i personally won't provide ANY advice for someone with only 5K to spend because you're GOING to buy a lemon for that price hate it or love it.. 5K will not get you much.. and if you're looking for a nice car - all the best in your travels? what do you need to know? marc's already told you that the 180sx is CA/ Sr20DET powered.. you now know there's three generations.. ermmm generally nothing goes wrong with them, the doors are frameless, the windows can be a pain to match up, the hydraulic boot lifts can fail on you... ...other than that, they're a very simple car with little on them that can go wrong.. for instance... an early model V8 toyota Soarer: elec seats can fail EMV can shut whole car down heated seats can break TEMS can fail airbag suspension can blow from old age touch screen can fail door skins can rip off from sheer weight of safety equipment that's inside them blinking digital dash bleeding LCD Climate control screens ^^^that's the features of the soarer which are "common problems" the 180sx is a much simpler car, following things can go wrong with it: The digital clock in the dash can need resetting if you disconnect the battery. that's about the extent of the "comfort" features of the 180. from memory i don't think they even have cup holders? on a serioous note though - the pop up headlight motors CAN fail you as they're VERY old cars now...

fck pearl get arctic white like me and nic... pearl white doesn't reflect as good as flat white!!! but it does look "wet" which works in it's favour... beleive it or not - soarers use a different paint code to nissans... mainly because the Soarer is made by mitsubishi. why do you need a paint code though? i never understand why everyone wnats paint codes for - the painters don't use paintcodes you realise... the best bet is to just take it to your painter and say "match this colour" or "give me this colour" and they bring out their swatches... and you pick one. then they make that paint for you... thye don't rely on genuine paint codes... especially don't rely on paint codes for parts painting! what if your pearl white has faded over time? or if the tanens in the paint affect the colour? you'll have different panel colours then. and when you have different panels ...people think you're a top bloke. my advice - take to a guy. get them to just rough up the paint and go to town with a nice flat white.

haha no i meant on the outside of the m but youre getting there... And more juicy paint look like traditional samurai type not mspaint steez haha but yeah looking good. Oh and i want the colours reversed too so the background is black. Gives it more night theme! .

A tribe called quest made an album called midnight marauders, i just made this thread so that me, jason and nic would stop whoring other threads in the cefiro section late at nights haha. Seems fitting though ...dare i say i like what jase made... But honestly? Make the word ''MIDNIGHT'' indented. So it looks in motion, and make sure ''marauders'' is in a plain times newroman front... I like the second one... It's more ''nitto'' themed... Also i suggest something else.. Along the spine of the ''m'' in ''midnight''... We should get the kanji translation of ''sedan'' running along it in red. That would look sick. yeah such a product does not exist in perth. Mine sorta fits your criteria but there's no way im selling it to your mate. Kristian from ironchef has an rb25det cefiro ready to drift 88 mnp coloured one for sale 10,500 get in touch with him.

also like to add.. The softer spoken that a cefiro is... The more respect i give it. It already gets enough attention being a cefiro... The cefiros are a king import. Nobody likes a king that gloats about the fact it's king. Keep the colourings classy, and gentle. The car speaks for itself. It doesn't need silly colours to prove a point

get something modern like a metallic gunmetal. Something classy. Dont do this hacked up orange green pink pastel shit. Personally i think leave it white. Nothing looks cleaner, or nicer than a nonmetallic arctic white with deep reflective clearcoat

i'll be trying this one out - sorry forgot to mention about it!!! it's $75 and a cheap experiment, if it works i'll let you guys know, if not, no biggie! consider me your guinea pig haha

this one claims it: removes speed limiter, shifts the redline to higher, ups the boost, modifies ignition and fuel map, and change lattice of the map, (RPM, Injection time) i dont know much about this stuff it says its good for: exhaust catback (i have 3inch) fmic (i have r34 smic) (bigger smic) i dont want HUGE horsepower but a bit of a boost would be cool

NEED MOAR LIGHT. will R32 GTR brakes (front and back) go onto my Cefiro if i use enough paper mache? cos i know where to get some cheap
