I hear all of you. I'm most consider about why this would be a limited numbers car! Only 250 coming here. Why? What about it is good enough to be limited?
Nismo fanboi syndrome can be quite strong...?

Blocking the signal lines is not the same as "blocking the BOV". Think about it.
did you miss the diy alfoil block on the bov port?

A lot of these reasons for not going push button start are kind of redundant considering you can get a kit that includes proximity key arm/disarm, push button start, remote start etc.
I say do it and report back!

As well as Russia, Canada and other countries I've seen photos of M35 Stageas from. Oh well..
photos of doesn't necessarily mean they're legal or compliant in those countries...
What I find ironic however, is these are illegal from a safety perspective (i.e. blinding if not correctly leveled), however SUV's which naturally sit higher than the rest of us are perfectly fine yet are equally as blinding...

Which is your personal opinion?
Post 1 or post 7, or have they changed?

This thing is hideous. I'm sorry but only the R33 GTR looks good.
You should be sorry, not for your opinion, but for repeating yourself so goddamn many times.

Well the rise in R32 price was arguably due to the US demand, so it would be fairly safe to say if they're interested in them, the same rise will occur, unless, and I've heard some people doing this with R34's too, they're buying them already and storing them until they can be legally imported, smoothing the demand rather than a big influx.
here you go... 19,000 USD for an R33 GTS-T...

I've had the delete kit for ages, just too lazy to get under and do it.

This one had a built turbo. Any other questions?
what a useless video.. no engine shot, no tech details...all turbos are built one way or another lol... please elaborate... but seriously... post this in the TRD Camry thread, as a testament to TRD being more than just a trim level. mind you as "concept" it's really not even worth discussing until it's actually produced.

Surely you don't have to remove the tank to replace those lines? It's an open channel from the top to the hard lines, just feed the new hose through.

Now here's something I can get on board HATING!! it seems every wanker in Sydney has their DSG farts modified to be louder? (not really sure nor care how that works)

Watch out for Kangaroos! I've hit 3 driving Hunter Valley roads, but yes they are very nice for driving.

I still have HICAS on my R33, and agree on a spirited mountain run it's not that noticeable (as GTSBoy says, 7/10ths vs 9+/10th), when i take it to the track though, it's borderline terrifying, so unpredictable. Really need to remove it one of these days.

Exactly the cockpit is exactly the same, and considering I prefer to drive my cars than sit and stare at them, i feel like going from GTS-T >> GT-R wouldn't feel like enough of a change to justify the cost. Purely talking aesthetics here. Now, if it drove and handled considerably better, then maybe, but do they?

I think after all the discussions, it's probably safe to say that most people do not "hate" the R33 GTR and many actually adore it most like myself included.
So this thread has been proven to be false. It all comes down to preference but this thread has been busted.
personally, if i went down the GTR road, it would probably be an R32, I drive an R33 GTS-T, and the R33 GT-R is too similar and i wouldn't enjoy it, it would just be a subtle change to what i already have for a shit tonne more money.

At least the VIN is published (6U9000BNR34006310) for future reference. And an Aus VIN, so must have happened here, you would think a car like that would have been insured and hence written off? weird... I'm sure the scratches will buff right out, not too sure about the blood though.

Welcome!
Smart moving doing a full rb25det swap, rather than +t to the de, manual swap at the same time definitely makes sense.
Are you similarly going to be upgrading the brakes to turbo or better version as well? I assume this would be required for engineering anyway.
12 minutes ago, FizZe said:I have recently acquired an exemption for an rb25det skyline with help from one of my mates.
A lot of p platers will be interested to know more about this if you care to divulge more info.

What's fascinating in this thread though, is that R32 owners HATE (with a passion) R33's, whereas R33 owners just prefer it over the others.
Now i'm no fan of Psychology (and it's somewhat lack or repeatability), but reading the following certainly makes sense:
Why do we hate? The reasons are complex, but following are some of the factors that may play a role in helping us understand hate and, hopefully, work toward change.
- Fear of “The Other”
- Fear of Ourselves
- Lack of Self-compassion
Very fascinating indeed...

The fact the soarer is a bottom of the barrel price sure means a lot for opinion. How many times do you get someone saying "Oh wow, look at the soarer". I guarentee never. It looks like someone has even stuffed their balls inside a gigantic condom.
19 minutes ago, GTSBoy said:When they first came into the country - everyone said it. But then they got tired and tatty and the pain faded and no-one says it now. They look a bit like an overinflated Hyundai Excel, sadly.
Fair point, I mean if you measure your self worth (or dick size) by what other people think of your car rather than it's technical pros/cons and how it makes you feel then that's perfectly fine. I do not. At the price point, they're an absolute steal for what you get, for it's time it was way over-engineered in every aspect.
People almost never know what it is... I don't take it to car meets as I'm not a StanceFag, but from time to time normal people get excited about it. in fact I always have to talk it down, as they then think I'm rich or something, getting tired of saying "nah it's just a Soarer you could get one for $4k"
What's important is it's I really enjoy driving it, looking at it as I walk back to it in the car park/petrol station. The R33 gives similar enjoyment but on a different level, most of it's enjoyment is thrashing it on the track.

I would have to agree the soarer is a much better can to drive around daily, but better looking is certainly a matter of opinion
and that's the issue with this thread, it's all a matter of opinion, but some people can't understand that other people have a differing opinion.

Also, I've been meaning to ask... You're changing turbo due not suitable for skid pan, but did you end up taking it to a circuit to see how it went? I thought that was the main goal?
