  1. Too over the top for a GTR, they are so agressive with just wheels, height etc. They DONT need a big kit. KISS - Keep It Simple St..... you get the point my 2c
  2. ^ Steve, what size tyre? if 235/45/17 I recently got Maxxis MA-V1 (not the Z) for around that price from Troy at Tyrepower. For a more budget tyre these are fantastic. Noise is fairly minimal and the grip in wet and dry is pretty good. Your tyre man should be able to get them at the same price.
  3. Andz: Suspension is actually really easy to fit yourself. Get some quality springs (Whiteline, NOT kings) and the shocks of your choice and have a go fitting them yourself. If you dont want to do the fitting, i'm sure there are a few shops around that will do it for you, Action Suspension at Edwardstown comes to mind. Generally steer clear of Pedders though
  4. Welcome! Nice looking car, how about a few more details? any engine/suspension work etc?
  5. As for numberplates, I asked the owners and they have not given me any objections Only other pics of said 34:
  6. ^ The camera would have an input from the vehicle speed sensor. That way it would know to deduct X from Y to determine your speed. They have been using them on victorian highway patrol cars for 10+ years. Essentially it knows the speed they are travelling at. Works out how the difference between theirs and your car, and calculates how fast you are coming at them by deducting their speed... so in your example, the difference would be 140kph, they are doing 80 kph, therefore you are doing 60.
  7. Interesting news, thanks Nick
  8. Just a quick Q: Following on from some comments in the photography section and in wasteland, does anyone have objections to the no. plates in photo's? I couldnt be bothered blanking them, but if someone objects I'll take thier photo down Cheers Lee
  9. Are you looking to sell only or trade +cash?
  10. Hey all, I borrowed the D50 SLR from my work and over the weekend had my first attempt at some shots using the apature control. Lighting was a little hard due to varying between sunlight and cloudy shade, so did the best I could. Anyway, some comments/tips would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Lee With this one, tried using "fill flash" to reduce shadows, but still dont think its the best: Brenton's self claimed "sexy porn star pose" LOL Some others here: http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t251/Ho...unday%20Cruise/ Cheers Lee

  16. Was tht you in the black 32 with Black Wheels? if so, that was me, heading home from the Murray River Cruise
  17. ^hehe noo never! 'Budget' Corolla's have better handbrakes than 'Avis' Getz...... but I'm only speculating
  18. I remember this on the news, got jacked near the golf course wasn't it? (or somewhere just out the city) but would've been scary. Did he buy a monaro in the end?
  19. Sounds pretty weird. Do you have unusual loading on the alternator, i.e. high powered stereo or anything causing your system to draw excessive current? Has the current been measured to ensure you aren't overloading it with a minor short somewhere? Sounds to me like "rebuilding" is probably just them replacing the brushes and the problem is a little more serious.
  20. LOL Dan read the thread on murray cruise (if steve hasn't pm'd you already). Also, try bring Michael (Westy) along with you
  21. Dose pipe is a metal pipe between the AFM and the turbo inlet. This pipe helps flutter sound louder with no enhancement. Wank factor Screamer pipe is the wastegate gasses escaping to atmosphere rather than into the exhaust. On a very highly boosted engine may show some advantages (not sure on this) but just creats very loud whooooshing sound... again, bit of wank factor Note: the description of wank factor is my opinion, others may like it
  22. I drove a hyundai Getz in Tassie for a week... 3 words: Piece Of Shite!! then again it was a hire car...... poor handbrake cable LOL
  23. Everyone talks double demerit points, but I thought that was never officially introduced in SA? I know it is in NSW and VIC, but I didnt think the state govt officially introduced it?
  24. Top stuff Cara! And yes, I could be a little nvs 2 Must say, glad to see the shopping list on the door is gone
  25. Yep, thats probably their normal price. Get a price from SA Suspension Centre: http://www.sasuspension.com.au/contact.htm and either get Car Torque to match it (if they are closer to you) or you could just buy from them. Car Torque is at North Terrace Kent Town (just next to the city) and SA Suspension is at Ween Rd Pooraka. And in Australia, they only sell KYB Excel G. I enquired all over Australia to see if they have different models and unfortunately they dont. Hope this helps some more
