  1. i got a stainless one piece front/dump pipe. are these anygood? comparing to?
  2. I am aware that they are car specific-thnx. Yeh - im fairly new to modifying performance cars. Ive actually got a gtst, bought it about 7 months ago totally stock except for the rims. mods so far - turbo back stainless 3" with highflow stainless cat and 4.5" canon - hks pod filter - hks sequential BOV - front strut brace - ebc bluestuffs(fr & bck) - timer. Ive got a front mount ready to go on but I would like to install the power fc and boost control (I beleive when you lift the boost it is recommended to upgrade the head gasket also- is that so?) and oil catch tank all at the same time as well as tuning. Be good to get the dyno result! Later on I'll upgrade the turbo, injectors, fuel pump, oil cooler, coil overs, bars/bushes then maybe I'll do the internals.
  3. couple of weeks ago my speedo was in getting fixed and I got done for speeding @ 122kmh. copper defected my car for having no speedo(even though I was taking it in to get fixed). he gave me a written defect which allowed me to drive for 3 days and I had to get it fixed and verified at a licensed inspection station(pink slip) then I had to take the paper work to the RTA. lucky for me he didnt do me for my exhaust or look under my bonnet. From your situation though - if he didnt hand you any defect notice then forget about it. If you hear from the EPA(unlikely) then dispute it as you recieved no documentation for the defect claim that it never happened. Good luck.
  4. can anyone advise me on a good boost control for this system?
  5. do these come with japanese or english text?? i would prefer english.
  6. Does this mean i wouldnt need a boost control or boost gauge? Do I need anything else apart from the PFC and commander for boosting?
  7. Thanx for the responses. I have managed to track one down for $1300 (brand new with 12 month warranty) with commander- it is in english format and ready to be shipped. Is this a good deal? I found it through an advertisement in SAU - here is the site for anyone that is interested. www.JapaneseImportParts.com Has any one heard of these guys? Are they reputable?
  8. im looking into getting an apexi power fc and commander for my r33 gtst. Just wondereing if any one could give me some tips on what else I should be doing if I install it. (ie- air flow meter, tuning etc) also an estimate on the price for this system and some links to some suppliers would be great. :werd:

  10. looking for a new or used adaptor to suit r33 gtst. Any links, hints or info will be appreciated.
  11. I would like to buy the adaptor from you if possible? Ive got a hks ssbov but no adaptor!
  12. hey- how many lines have you got attending this cruise??
  13. yeh - id like a set - depending on price of course.
  14. I also agree with your heel toe methods kutter. I guess living in the country we drive higher speeds more often(less gearing down on straight stretches and more on mountains) and our traffic lights are a roo or wombat(not much warning)! LOL finding the balance with your car and yourself is very important - knowing your revs and your limits aswell. Naturally gearing down at slower speeds you can get away with rolling in neutral - especially if you coming into lights. But slowing down suddenly I always use both.
  15. I believe it is bad to brake in neutral as you are limiting your traction and wearing your brakes more. You slow down safely if using your gears and brakes together. Watch any style of racing and you will see this. I believe what is practiced at high speed driving is as good for low speed driving. Our cars are designed for this even without any modifications. You can bet ur arse that a pro driver will normally be using gears and brakes together or alternately, be it compression or steady braking.
  16. Check these links if you want the books - not bad prices - both places similar www.jpnz.co.nz www.importdriver.com.au or on ebay - importdriver-international (username)
  17. I am new to using forums so pls get up me if I shouldnt be posting on this guys(ben o) thread. I would also like to know the answers to these questions as I have just purchased a new clutch kit(heavy duty). Although it is not nissan but a german company(LUK) I would like to know the difference in quality between these parts. Apparently german steel is of high quality, is this company reputable? whats the going prices for clutch kits for r33 (gtst) coupe?
