  1. Neither link working now, got half way through (after 6 hours) using the first link and then it droped out. can't get back in to try again. PM sent about getting a CD off you.
  2. Most council dumps have oil disposal stations, just keep it around till your next trip to the dump.
  3. Hey dude, I'm a computer bozo, I'm clicking the link and its just comming up with a warning about the page being being read only because a proxy is set incorrectly then up comes a page and it says, "page cannot be displayed". What am I doing wrong? BTW: I'm using a work computer over a network, is that a prob?
  4. More info on the bleed? hole in the stock r33 BOV would be great, or direct us to another thread. How do you block it up? any adverse affects? cheers
  5. No still bad having all sorts of trouble this morning, 1)"this page has been defaced" 2) new posts section has only one thread in it 3) "access denied" to fourum index WTF? 4) really slow and other random stuff
  6. yep same prob here, all good now.
  7. Not again!! For Fu(ks sake! All the best to those affected by this tragedy. This will happen again, and it will happen to someone who reads this thread, is it going to be you? Ask yourself next time you get in your car.
  8. Yep I reused it, I used a XForce front / dump pipe. Fit no prob.
  9. Your car is fu(ked,
  10. Just goes to show that road safety is a state of mind. Without road signs at a busy intersection we use our own brains, rather than following directions, there is no one to blame for a duck up. Sort of goes along with my road safety idea - put razor sharp 400mm long spikes on everyones steering wheel pointing at your neck as you drove. You would not speed or do anything stupid then would you. Gotta love Holland though, always willing to try new things, unlike the conservative left bullshit we have over here.
  11. Just remind us how much your selling these for. Whats the postage to Briz.
  12. Fair enough your pissed off that you had to pay more than you expected but keep in mind the following points: 1) you still did'nt pay what you should have as far as the australian government is concerned. 2) I'm pretty sure Nengen would say that you did not enter into a "deal with Nengun is "Delivered door to door" for AU$1267.52 " 3) You are breaking the law. 4) I thought the website made it clear that there could be duties, taxes and fees to pay. 5) Sounds like Nengun made a pretty good effort at reducing the cost to you, by sending false invoice and sending it as a gift. Your right sometimes it is probably a better option to just buy parts here, paying more up front but avoiding fees, taxes, duties, long waits, risky transactions, etc, etc... Then again I have got some great deals from similar importers, but I would make sure I had done the sums before I purchased anything over about $500.
  13. I've driven a few, here are a few words that sum up my thoughts: great fun, quick, dated model, bit still look cool many poor design features (overheating and suspension problems), expensive to maintain, totally useless unless your only have yourself and a passenger to transport, heavy, cheap for such a quick car, very hard to find a good one, bit like an way overweight go-kart. impossible to work on unless you have a hoist (can't even change oil yourself).
  14. It'll happen, just a matter of time. bummer for motor sport, Don't worry someone will build another one, only prob, it will be somewhere west of the snowy!!! I heard Woomera has some space!?!!?!
  15. I'll be moving to Townsville in the not to distant future for work, I'll be there about 6 - 8 months. Prolly wont have my car up there for a while, I'll get a company flogadore.
  16. Try abrasive water jet cutting, I've had a few manifold flanges cut this way in briz. Sorry I'm at work can't think of names off the top of my head.
  17. I've learnt many evil things from movies and Quintin Tarentino is one of the best... "get some homies around around and pull these little f##kers apart with pliers and a blow torch" I find that I am seriously paranoid about taking my car anywhere where it could have some jelous wanker damage it. I usually drive my VL bombadore when I have to park in public or outside overnight, that way if it gets scratched I'd be stoked - A new paint job would be worth way more than the car, it would get written off and I'd get the insurance. LOL. Like has been already said, it would almost be worth it if you could catch them and make them "pay". Has anyone seen that movie "Seven".
  18. Mine has the same prob, its a R33, keen to know how to fix it.
  19. Thanks disco, I think your right there, Just trying to think of another reason not to connect water lines. Stock R33 turbos are not water cooled are they?
  20. No that was not the one, it was dark blue / green. So many toolkits tried to race me last night, I was just trying to go home.
  21. Bunch of guys in a VP? commodore were being dickheads last night (thursday 2-12-04) at a set of traffic lights. They draged off at the lights and I let them go. I round the next corner to see my old mates in the commodore, they had just hit a powerpole head-on doing at least 60km/h. The car had bounced off the pole and was sitting across the road with the bonnet crushed up almost to the firewall. I thought I was about to see what it looks like when someones head smashed through a windscreen, but I was absoulty amazed when they all got out and seemed fine. They called the coppers and then I left when they all seemed fine. I did not actually see the crash so I don't really know what happned. Good one guys, hope you know how luck you are.
  22. Obviously turbos always see cyclic thermal stressing but water cooling would make the problem much more significant.
  23. I can think of one reason not to connect the water lines, the cyclic thermal stressing of the turbo housing would surely reduce the life of the turbo. It would not be a problem if the engine always ran at steady state, but they never do, full throtle, fullboost, off boost, high rev, low rev, low trotle, idle, you get the idea. Water running through the turbo would create huge thermal gradients as the turbo rapidly heats and cools as hot exhaust gasses and cool water flow through the housing. the thermal stressing could posibly lead to cracking of the housing and distortion of the bearing surfaces. Now that is a reason I have thought of, the engineers who design these things are very clever people and they most certianly thought of these things. I am saying that manufactures of performace parts are usually looking for performance (supprise!!!) rather than reliability. So water cooled turbos obviously work and I think they probably work better in the short run for high performance applications but in the long run realability could be a problem. Having said all of this I cannot say I have ever seen a turbo fail from causes which can be directly linked to the turbo being watercooled. Just a posibility.
  24. Take a look at this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ighlight=xforce A thread I started, It is about the Xforce exhaust systems, heaps of info, Definatly dont spend $1300 unless your planning on building a $40k car. Go the Xforce.
