  13. JimX, I think your reliance on the factory knock snesor is a little bit misguided, when you have your PFC you'll see what I mean. It shows a knock level, that means virtually nothing, and it's up to the user to determine the safe knock level. I think Steve was suggesting that tuning a Wolf is much quicker than the PFC with HC. Wolf comes with laptop software which is excellent, and really reduves the time it takes to tune. Even with the Datalogit ($1000?) which is a huge improvement over the HC the PFC will still take longer to tune. I believe that the lastest range of Wolfs are coming out with a base map, how good it is I have no idea, maybe Steve can share his thoughts.
  14. The wolf can control the majority of AFM's, but why would you bother seeing as it has an in-built map sensor. The powerFC only use the cars existing knock sensors. JimX, I think Steve's point was that the Wolf is at least as good as the PowerFC, so why not support something which you can at least get support on if the product goes wrong. I have spoken to Wolf in the past an they have always been happy to help, plus they are constantly upgrading the firmware to make additional features available to keep ahead of the market.
  15. Butters, It was a pity that most of us couldn't compete cause it was a great event. Well done to all the SilviaWA guys for competing and doing the courses correctly:D

  20. Good to see the debate continues:D As another aside, Got Boost ran 344rwhp on SST's dyno the same day as mine, he just ran a flat 12 with 1.83 60ft on Nittto's. Tell me that's fake ponies:D

  22. Hi Dan, Sorry I can't stay to chat, heading off to do some things before going to MC:D
  23. The main reason I bought the diff was due to the fact that my current LSD open wheels under high power, therefore having the power going through two wheels with no slip should improve my 1/4mile time. My car is not a drag car, and I'm hoping to also do some circuit work and drift work in it, in which case a 2-way diff is an advantage:D
  24. Anyway, I hope to see some of you up at MC for the PAS driving events, if not have a good day:D
  25. Sydneykid, We're not trying to pick on you here, just trying to highligh the facts.
