  1. Sk said up to 300... I am gonna get a GTR cooler myself.
  2. its coz of the dots in the url...post the entire url
  3. Just spoke to my workshop, labour rate for a conversion is $700 I beleive parts will set me back probably another 3-4k as i want good quality parts (spend $$ on a clutch etc) At this rate, conversion time is in about 2 months, i personally dont care about driving with no console for a few months, odds are id get something custom made to suit the current console lid (aka, just replace that + handbrake hole)
  4. Forgot it already had mods Well in the end, it really depends what you want Look in the thread "Get a stagea into the 13's" The way SK talks about it, if you have a target power, get parts for that target power and dont spend top dollar The way I said was, spend top dollar on parts, and have a power target but be aware that if you want more, you wont have to change the parts to better ones... Sooooo I mean, you seem to not be like me and have no power target but just want more power and handling and not care about looks. 1. If exhaust isnt turbo back, get frontpipe/dump and cat (big power gains there, and bottle neck for everything else) 2. Make sure to include caster bushes and sway bars in your list, they make a BIG difference (i can only speak about swaybars for now) 3. If your going to get a cooler, i would suggest to consider a front mount. GTR cooler with custom pipes (unless GTT cooler is fine for you (~200awkw)) Else, good luck with the car
  5. 6k. well, put it ALL aside and get a manual conversion + PFC Otherwise if no power target Split dump/front High flow cat jap brand cat back (order now..it will take a while) DFA and IEBC Sydney kids FULL suspension set up then splash the other 1k on some decent tyres and some other little goodies you may want...
  6. Indifferent to me Ian? Muck? Micheal? Your preferences?
  7. In the end, i am sure that Stagea owners are smart enough that if we REALLY want we could find someone here in Australia to make us all surrounds. If we were to purchase a surround as a group, there MUST be somewhere local that could just replicate them for us. The only issue I see with these is that there would be some problems with the finish on the surround being the same as the stereo etc, but in the end, if i was to do a conversion and the only thing left was the surround, i would just drive around with no surround on (i am not THAT fussed) As for handbrake boot and gear boot, i know people to make these things. Ian here in melbourne has a manual stagea, he may be kind enough to lend it for a day to get moulded? On a final note, my nissan dealer seems to be relativly cheap, give me part numbers and ill try and get prices for us all...How about we ask gary himself? Or mercury?
  8. Well, in that case then, yes, thats probably a better options Done and Done
  9. Head unit wont work in Australia...with radio at least, unless you get an FM expander, but then its a bitch becaue its like, 80.3 is nova and stations are expanded 10 or 20 Mhz depending which channel is free...confusing to say the least, but if you do your presets, it works out all good.
  10. Ok, Here is what I am thinking, given most people seem to be out east way. Location: Jells park, Wheelers hill Meet point: Vermont south Coles car park, furthur most corner next to Hanover road entrance (Obviously, ill arrive first and just look for the car in my sig). We can purchase supplies at the Coles and then head down Springvale Road to Waverley road. Time: 12:00 noon. Date: 25/26 September, 1/2 October (Please pick preference) Route: Considering this is going to be a day cruise, ill choose the most direct route as there will be lots of traffic anyway. Probably just go down Burwood hwy, then on Monbulk road. Additional details: There is a Shell at the same complex as Coles, so dont worry if your low when you arrive. Event will be postponed if it rains. I know it wont affect the cars, but not ideal BBQ weather. If anyone else has some ideas, shoot. Else...what do you all think?
  11. So if i am assuming correct, with the std circlip on the shock, and the whiteline springs, i would see a 1 inch lowering of the car to 405->380 front? 380->355 rear? So give my desired height of approximatly ~340 and the rake you suggest, i should drop the car 35mm at the front, which is equivalent to 4 circlip groves? This would then make the car site 348 front 355 rear That sounds good to me One other thing, how do these circlip grooves work? I mean, i am not a fan of putting lowered springs on std shocks, but how are we altering the ride height here without effecting the shock absorber? Else, ill probably be getting the full package in about 1-2 weeks less the camber kits, as the height i desire is OK for no camber kits right? Are the parts easy to install and "set" to the desired settings? I dont think i could put in the caster bushes myself could i?
  12. I have 225/50 R16 on it the moment Right now, i get about a 4-5 fingers (a hand) under the front and about 3 fingers in the rear... **Please read edited previous post too thank you** How many kits are included in a "set"?? Refer to the original price list
  13. Go any indication of how low all those heights are. I dont mind the std height i am at now, i would possibly like to drop it down so that the wheels just fill the gaurds and have an even borer around them all way around the gaurd (if that makes sense) EDIT Car sits 405mm at the front, 380mm at the rear I like the height it is at the rear, the height i was talking about is ~340...325 is too low for me, wheels are IN the guards With the circlips you machine in, what are the height settings i can put after the spring sit?
  14. i found the standard system to be VERY good, i am not going to change any of the speakers. With an aftermarket 50w per channel head unit they sure do the job perfectly. As for service, i beleive your car will receive some goodies when going through compliance, including brake pads and so on. Dont just replace the pads unless you dont get new ones, save your dollars and go for a full brake upgrade. My brakes shutter right now, but its the rears discs and pads and i am just holding off until i can afford slotted dics and high performance pads. I did a service on my even though i bought it in Aus. Its best if your going to do something liek that if you put in some more mods, like DFA or something, and then change all the things and then go for a full tune, i am waiting on some parts before a tune...should be much nicer. Anyway, how long until your car arrives? How long is the wait for compliance and then till delivery. Shipping is around 15 days....
  15. Do i need the camber kits if i buy the shocks and spring? Currently i am 100% interested and able to afford the f/r shocks and spring caster kit subframe alignment BUt, do i need the camber kits? that JUST blows my budget by ~200$
  16. Just some questions so i can put some ideas out 1. What dates are best for people, saturday or sunday? 2. Where is everyone coming from, dont want to make it an east meet is someone has to come from the west...could make it northern 3. Preferences on activity/event (BBQ, beach etc) 4. How soon should the event be? My answers 1. Any days are fine, prefer saturdays 2. East side, Forest Hill 3. BBQ in hills (Silvan Res is a nice day place, page 122, H11) 4. I would pefer something in late september, gives me some time for some parts to arrive (more conversation topics ) Sounds like it will turn out to be a nice event...Post your replies
  17. yes, im pretty sure thats right, from memory...
  18. Part number - 22690-83T12 Cost 169.90 or so, delivered to my local nissan spare parts... Was a 3-4 week wait as well. So far, the last quart has covered 70km...and still some fuel left in there (about 1/2 quart left)
  19. Where abouts did they put the extra bend in the pipe? Did you get the stainless steel one or the mid steel? What did it cost to fit it?
  20. www.imageshack.us then use the forum tag
  21. after mid sept, my exhaust is coming then
  22. Maybe with your help Argo, we can organize some type of group buy of parts from japan for conversions, or organize "parts bundles" for people. Im just saying this given that you say you would have no problems getting the parts from japan, would be good for people to buy just a "pack" of parts. Naturally, i would be willing to pay you for your work in sourcing the parts etc, i could organize the freight myself as i regularly import good from china and have a freight forwarder and customs agent.
  23. Over the weekend i went to try to install my new split dump and front... it ended up not fitting so on the way putting everything back, i put in the new O2... Unfortunatly, this means i have no photos or anything, but its relativly easy to remove your dump pipe (i could probably do it now in around 1 hour) The OTHER way around it could be like this... 1. remove engine heat sheild 2. remove the top three bolts holding in the brace, take brace off 3. undo the screws holding on the heat cover on the dump pipe 4. replace o2 5. reverse I could probably help you out doing it if you want, but not this weekend (too many essays due)...next weekend would be fine. Ill give my fuel economy report too... still yet to fill her up. I replaced my spark plugs at the same time, the old one were pretty rooted. 4.
  24. Muck if you want to test with some wheels, i have a spare set of wheels at my place. well only 2 right now, i lent out the other two, but i dont mind taking off my wheels for you.../meet you fellow melbournian stagea owner...
  25. It does indeed, what did they set you back?
