  1. Well, Im just about to buy the 440$ cat and 450$ split dump and front pipe from bos importing. Couple that with my fujisubo catback on the way (84dB at 4800rpm!!) and that makes 2g worth of exhaust...but i expect major improvments in fuel economy and about 35-45awkw more
  2. Well, when i bought my car, the mechanic who inspected it told me he could hear the timing belt "flapping around against the cover" when he was revving the engine from the engine bay. That makes me presume mines pretty bad (as far as timing belts go) I dont understand why im the only person with a stagea doing 20L city and 16L hwy...Im getting my timing belt done early next week, it should hold until then
  3. They are not THAT bad... its just mine i reckon Ill keep everyone posted on what happends after new spark plugs/o2 and dfa...im sure it will get HEAPS better Tony, you bought a stagea? Would an old timing belt cause bad fuel economy too?
  4. "I just put a new head unit in the wagon the other day." "But I checked all the ones behind the coin holder" Its a stagea
  5. Did you connect illumiation and ACC correctly? There is no reason why it should blow unless you are shorting something out. Maybe you crushed a wire by accident. Remove the head unit, totally and see if it still does it. I am not sure, but could it be a relay causing this, maybe one thats stuck open or something?
  6. Still for sale, 0439 909 610. Inspections welcome. SE suburbs, around glen waverley
  7. Dude, your a bastard Keep us all posted, im very interested. Ill keep with my RB25...there will be some very built stageas around in around 1 year.
  8. Spark plugs could be screwed from running rich before o2 sensor replacement... I am doing my o2, sparkeys and DFA all at the same time. Exhaust too...soo yeh, will be better i guess
  9. Anyone got some rough prices for the general public? Just want to know how much i should save up for new rotors and pads all around.
  10. R33 GTST Apexi N1 catback. I bought it 2nd hand from a guy for 550 for my stagea....IT DIDNT FIT! Exhaust is in good condition, thick mild steel with 3inch muffler and 4 inch tip. The guy said it wasnt too loud either...well, it is Apexi. Also, there are some minor bumps and flat spots on the bottom but the guy said he got the exhaust flow tested before he put it on his car (500hp cat) and it was basially no difference. Overall, the pipe is 3 1/2inch in size, with 3 inch flanges Hanger bars are already welded on, so you could put it on at home! Asking for 450...dont really want to loose much more then that. Inspections welcome. 0439 909 610 (Three) (Im in SE melbourne) Alex
  11. cusco are good just watch out what spring rates etc they are. first got cusco in his s14...it slides VERY easy... but i think thats coz of spring rate
  12. Anything modded wont make it into australia...sorry...
  13. I am going to the snow this weekend, i am not sure what coolant is in my car at the moment but i sure as hell dont want it to freeze up... So i pose the question, what coolant should i put in the car that doesnt freeze (up to i guess like -20 or something). Can i just put the normal repco brand, or is this something i should buy from my nissan spare parts dealer? (its quite lucky the nissan parts place is just 5 minutes from my place...im there quite often and have a reputation to cause "WTF" type looks) Thanks...
  14. Gday mate when i did my first oil change, i took 3L out...so i put in 3L... it didnt even register on the dip stick.. So, i kept filling. I was worried when i had put in 4.25L but after reading around, capacity of RB25 is 4.5L so i was like "phew"
  15. Gary, do you have a rough cost on all the parts out of japan for this conversion. I want to do my conversion maybe around christmas this year, but i want to source all the parts and then get someone to do the labour. Cheers
  16. SK, Did your swaybars end up like mine in the rear bent out a bit? Should i be somewhat worried and replace mine? Thanks for the help Alex
  17. First two are right side, bottom one is left side... Seems a little extreme for me, but it still works fine.... If i move the bar like, 5mm to the left, it would even the bends out to be almost identical/perfect... But, if i need a new sway bar... what a bitch of a job...already waited two weeks for them both.. ****EDIT**** Car was sitting on the side of the road there, leaning to the left hand side, on flat ground the two things point about the same angle... anyway, should i look to replacE?
  18. Well I fitted my GTR sway bars yesterday and they make a big difference. The only thing that i noticed was that YES, the sway bar is a little too short. But the links on the end for me just bend out to counter that... meaning my rear sway bar looks like this ______/ instead of what my mates s14 looks like |_______| If that bad, do i need to remove it and get another bar?
  19. Well, after installing the sway bars, i would like to buy an LSD. Anyone know if an R33 GTST LSD standard diff will fit an RS4 S1 stag? Infact, ANY info on LSD's would be GREATLY appreciated. Cheers all
  20. i bought a genuine nissan o2 sensor from nissan today. 170$ delivered to nissan. 2 week wait. I would rather go genuine and be certain then not know the correct working temperature range of the EL one and screw up a perfectly good plug. Ill keep you posted.
  21. dude, why the hell is this in the stagea forum? are stagea drivers more knowledgable then skyline drivers?? How about you consider these items Digital fuel adjuster from jaycar Panel filter or boxed pod Exhaust (turbo back) They would be most bang for buck i would say
  22. I know i am digging up an old thread, but is this book worth it? Anyone else in Melbourne want to go halfs, im sure we both dont need the boot at the same time (hopefully)
  23. I went to nissan spare parts, autobarn had none in stock and this was rather a desperate problem. The new part number for the stagea is 25731-AGOOO (could be 000 or OOO) Thanks Jackie
  24. Cheers, I found that website last night searching around, but thanks heaps for directing me to autobarn. They are generic for all cars or do i need one that is car specific?
