  1. Congrats on an awesome time HKS26T, was that with a stock motor? Who is your tuner? I think you've convinced me to go buy a 33 gtr lol First time racing at the strip? I'm surprized they did'nt tell you to go home as soon as you got into the 11's let alone 10's.
  2. You're stupid for selling! But goodkuck anyway
  3. Improved my PB aswell two weeks ago. 12.4 @ 112mph 1.95 Sec 60'
  4. Nice ride mate, i had a squirt with you about a week ago on the M4 Rex wagon.
  5. LMAO. Ben don't lke seeing a rex above him
  6. 12.59 @ 109mph MY00 WRX I could make excuses but meh. Proof is here http://www.mrgauge.com/mrgauge_demo02a_LO_PAL.wmv
  7. Congrats to Benm for running a high 12 from what should be a mid 11 second car.
  8. What i meant was that if an insurance company wants to get nasty, which i doubt they will, they can still say that your car is not legal because it is not EPA/ADR approved. These approvals cost a hell of alot of money and involve you ecu being lead sealed. I think only MoTeC are approved to be used in this sort of circumstance.
  9. I'm surprized they tuned it with knock that high on purpose I think you'll find that it is most likely slightly overboosting into a cell that would'nt have had an overboost situation on the dyno run.
  10. I bought the innovate lm-1 kit to tune the afr with the datalogit. It interfaces easily to one of the 0-5v analogue inputs and allows you to plot average afr for each load cell. Very easy to tune with.
  11. Hardly the case at all. Ignition timing and afr will decide whether all the fuel gets burnt or not, too much timing will result in high nox readings. So its all a balance, not a matter of having sedate cams to pass. Make sure your cats are in the stock position as this will have a great effect on how well they work for the test. The test is not full throttle at all, it simulates driving around town and up the highway like most people would drive to work. Goodluck with the test buddy, it will chew a bit of your time and money making it all work, just remember that even though you may have an engineers cert for everything that you can still get pinged if you get wise to the wrong people.
  12. Rexies are reliable with all vf series turbos, not really worth modifying if you are'nt gonna give it the extra legs from a bigger turbo. Unless you like being stomped by everyone.
  13. Good point, tho i had the knocklink before i bought the powerFC. I would also like to see knock when it's happening, not look at a data spread after it has already happened. Also some day might be hotter than others, you could get bad fuel etc, not anticipating the car to knock when it could infact be mildly knocking and you would have no idea it was happening. But still, FCdatalogit and Innovate XD-1 kit is on their way Sorry for pulling outta your group buy mate, i did'nt have the money at the time. LED's can be seen very well at night, its a bit hard to see them in the daytime if the sun is directly glaring on them tho.
  14. A knocklink is essentially the same thing, but i have found that the powerFC listening range is different to the knocklink in some circumstances. The knocklink has 5 leds to indicate knock, two green being the smallest, two orange being the middle range and a big red led to indicate there is a real problem. I find it useful to know when the car has small amounts of knock so i can tune it out, rather than wait for a 50 or 60 reading on the power fc until i know that there is a problem. When doing a power run, if can see some of the lights in my dash light up when pinging is detected, i can backoff and see what the last section was lit in the map tracer. I'll take a pic of my setup and post it up. Knocklinks are about 250 bux from memory and have their own knock sensor.
  15. I use a knocklink in conjuction with the power FC. I personally would'nt have it any other way, sometimes one will pickup knock that the other won't, another could'nt hurt.
  16. Does anyone know what the stock r32 GTR turbos are called? And 300zx turbos aswell? Thanks
