  1. Aww benm, no more opportunitys to gee u up anymore.
  2. You can't get pods engineered for. Need stock airbox i was told.
  3. I meant, why can;t you use the stock computer to get it there? And yeah i thought the power FC came with a base map too.
  4. Whats so different about these cats? Are they a metallic substrate as opposed to a ceramic core?
  5. I hope thats not why you're getting rid of it dude Anyhow, i'll make you sure you know who i am next time i see ya
  6. Hey benm, do you go to wsid very often? I live right up the road from you, seen you all the time hehe. But i did'nt expect your car to have been spruced up like it is
  7. I'm running untuned atm with bigger turbo, top mount cooler and 3" zaust. Getting tuned soon, so next time i hope to be in the 12's with ya, gotta get a good jump tho providing my clutch is still good for it hehe Was 14.3 stock for a xr6t? Those whales can get moving real fast once fiddled with, i'm sure you'll find out soon too. Let me know when you going next dude, we'll have a chat next time.
  8. I was in the rexy wagon dude, i think i got like 13.8 when i ran you. I sure did'nt expect you to pull away hehe. When you going next? i might pose more of a threat then
  9. Eav00l, i ran you too hehe. Got you off the line, but you came back towards the end. I thought my 60 footers were bad dude. Why are yours so high?
  10. I seen that thing, no way was it stock. You should have seen the brakes he had on it!!! Very nice car though.
  11. Hey dude, i was next to you in the 13.1 run. Not fair you got more boost than me
  12. GTST, the only classic model rexes that were 1300 kg were the wagons, 99-00 sedans were 1270, 97-98 were closer to 1230. My 2000 model ran 13.7 stock, so they are pretty capable. But yeah, some people don't know how to drive too. And to all you guys, 13 pound is stock boost in a rex. They are a lower compression motor and can handle more boost, but at the cost of more lag.
  13. You've got a beautiful rb26dett head, a total peice of engineering art and you wanna do that! you should be ashamed dude. My advise, stop being a tightarse and buy a rb26dett manifold, the motor at least deserves that.
  14. Also, do you have any idea of what sorta money that you gonna earn at a car workshop? When you're at uni doing mech engineering and your buddies you studyed with are bragging about how they earn 100k plus a year in industrial design i reckon you'll change your mind. Car workshops pay shit house compared to big companys. Workshops have gotta stay competitive with the others around the area or they don't get sales, a 10k motor job would be considered a "big one" by a car workshop. But for industry, 10 grands is shit all, big places would'nt even bother with a job worth 10k.
  15. reducing inlet temps is a way of preventing pinging, thats why you get a big FMIC
  16. Maxx, the modded rexys you ran can't of been very modded at all. 180 atw is easy to get from em and being lighter than you they will pull on you pretty easy. The 96 rexys had a different turbo too, it had more top end than the 97 onward rexys. The current model rexes (03-04-05)are actually the fastest (and heaviest) wrx's made so far. 99's are sposed to have 160 kw at the fly too, not 180ish (i think) like the 33gtst's have.
  17. Why would you buy an expensive cooler and then skimp on the ecu? The ecu is more important than a greddy cooler.
  18. they usually have an addition that comes from the oil filter location, just a supply hose to the cooler and a return hose back to the fitting. although no doubt it can be done differently.
  19. how did you go? they come over yet? it would be good if that happens, but most likely you'll be paying for the little shits damage. ha, i'm sure you could hire a little fatty from their school to do some dirty work for you.
  20. sorry if it sounds like a stupid q, but can't you get that sort of power out of your gtr without an ecu upgrade? or do you want it for other reasons, ie saftey of motor?
  21. would'nt you be better off putting the h beams in now, it's easier to put the cams in later than it is to pull it apart to put h beams in.
