  1. Looking for some build suggestions My engine started knocking over 4000 rpms on the last day out for the year before going into winter storage( go figure) and will be pulling it out soon, it is a N1 engine if it matters. I already have a pair of GT2860R-5s along with some 720cc injectors, Link G4 pnp ecu. The goal was for about 500hp and I am debating on how serious of a rebuild I will be getting into, this car is a nice summer day kind of car and not a track car and I am not all that interested in a huge hp monster build. New bearings, upgrade oil pump to spline drive, oem rods with arp bolts but I cant decide on what to do for pistons. The only experience I have with forged pistons was with subaru engines and everyone I had seen with forged pistons was noisy when cold and used a lot more oil compared to oem or is will that be something I will need to live with for reliability sake?
  2. It has been a very reliable car to say the least, still on the original clutch! Just had to use the snow blower to clear out another foot of snow this weekend
  3. Withdrawl Haven't been able to drive my gtr for what feels like months. Been driving my 06 civic with 372,000km everyday and it is SO BORING. Go away already snow!
  4. A few questions for those of you with Link ecu's My gtr is about to get parked for the winter and I plan on installing a Link g4 plug in ecu and just had a few setup questions. 1 I have a LC1 wideband O2 sensor that I will be putting in so do I even bother leaving the factory O2 sensors installed? I was planing on installing the wideband in the front pipe after the two pipes joint, does anyone run 2 widebands or just stick with the one? 2 I read that the Link ecu doesn't use the factory knock sensors, if so is it worth getting the Link ones and again just 1 or run 2 like factory? 3 What would be the minimum read level for a map sensor, I have a pair of gt2860r-5 going on and planing on running around 1.4-1.5bar and the absolute most. Any advantages of a 4bar sensor over lets say a 3bar sensor? I understand that sensors are rated in absolute atmospheric pressure and need to take that into account. 4 For boost control solenoid stick with a Link solenoid or is there other options? Thanks

  6. It is 15 years in Canada so its been legal to get for a while now but only a few years left before the Americans start buying all those up too! Friend was looking at r32 gtrs already in Canada and they are getting hard to get because the Americans buy them up right away. Getting insurance was a little difficult but other than that no real problems with rhd other than occasionally forgetting what arm I am going to be shifting with or what side the turn signal is on going from my Legacy turbo wagon to the skyline or vise versa.
  7. hello from Canada New guy here from Canada and have had my r33 for a few weeks now. Best car I have had yet! 1995 r33 gtr vspec with n1 engine. Got around to polishing the headlights and painting the grill black, much better...
  8. Found one off a r32 local for like 60 dollars. All fixed up now and no more clicking while turning but a huge mess to clean up.
  9. I need a front right axle for my r33 gtr and only been able to find r32 axles local. I been searching to see if a r32 front axle will work on a r33 but I have found people saying yes and no. Can anyone confirm if I can or not and if there is a difference between gtr and non gtr front axles. The inner boot is torn and the axle clicks while turning so its past the point of a new boot. Much appreciated if anyone could help me out.
  10. It was about 33*C today and felt a bit over 40 with the humidity so I know I need a cooler atleast. Car might be okay though.
  11. I picked up my new to me r33 gtr the other day and have put about 200km on it so far. It has a remote oil filter setup with a fairly larger oil cooler hooked in with it. I dont see any sort of oil thermostat valve and its takes a good 25 minutes before the oil temp gauge even shows the needle at the lowest 70*C mark and never goes over about 75*C while driving, cruising at 100km/h it drops below the 70 mark. What would be the recommended thermostat temperate to get. I found one that will fit with my setup that came in 86*C or 102*C options, was thinking the 86*C would be the safe bet?
  12. It was the mode selection, stuck on floor vent. Ordered a new one and waiting for it in the mail.
  13. Canadian here that just got himself a R33 GTR V-Spec with N1 engine. I'm hoping to have home from the dealer in a few days and it has a clicking actuator for the one of the blend doors and have been trying to find a diagram or a parts breakdown so I can order a blend door actuator and get it fixed. I think this is the part I need but want to confirm with anyone that would know. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NISSAN-SKYLINE-GTS-T-TYPE-M-ECR33-RB25DET-HEATER-AIRFLOW-ACTUATOR-27736-70T00-/191319803215?hash=item2c8b8c854f:g:mqUAAOSwV-RXEu-a I am very excited to get it home and get to work cleaning and doing maintenance to it.
