  1. came out in 1991 when I was 16. Ouch:-(
  2. So technical. I was thinking if you just went really really fast the air would dry it out?
  3. Today's jobbie.
  4. 4WDing you say!
  5. What is the Prs?
  6. More training on how to be a animal in a different city with like minded mechanics. Oops (technicians.) went to Dave's Friday night. the panel beaters done a sweet job on the mustang fastback rear quarter. Perfectly straight lines and blended the paint through the boot, front door and roof. It's a massive panel with a dead straight line and bull nose radius corner. 2 weeks. He sends them about 400,000 a year in work so, top job. Took my cymbals and double kick pedals over used his sons drum kit. We played music, listened to music, watched music and drunk bourbon till 5am (gold). It was my b/day Sunday so low key with the wife and boys, they made me a scotch fillet steak sandwich for breakfast and my wife bought me a meet and greet ticket for marky ramone (the drummer from the ramones) when he tours in November (gold). Went to Mandurah too see the olds Monday they have been away for 9 months so great to see them. (gold) kids bought me Guardians of the galaxy 1+2 on Bluray so we cranked the Yamaha's and Bose's up. Should be 4 on 3 off every week;-)
  7. Pic from the rear 1/4 panel looks beautiful, and I'm not a romantic:-)
  8. Man they have put some hours into the beast. You must be getting itchy to drive it? Manual conversion next?
  9. Yep family/work/Nissan. Bummer!
  10. Hey Manne how did u go with the battery on the beast?
  11. Yeah Totally. Battery light on. Changed the regulator, twin brush and spring arrangement. Perfect. 2 weeks later battery light on. Fractured the long brush at the housing you could see a crack just above where it fractured, demanded a new one, perfect till we sold it. Slowest car we've ever owned. Got us through new house and 2 kids born. Traded it for $1500 on a 5ltr Fairmont ghia. I loved the Fairmont. Spun off the line and into 2nd. Great little engine. Long gears. 70 in 1st 135 in 2nd. 180 in 3rd. Soft suspension. 10.5 ltrs per hundred on a trip. 1950 rpm at 115kph. Full leather and wood grain. Felt great when driving it then when you got out it still looked like a horrid au. Only mods were twin system cai and chip tune. Solid drive train. Slight touch of brake and throttle for effortless auto skids. She was a bit slow but a beautiful cruiser:-) Windsor power
  12. this week's effort. Moar caterpillars. Moar yellow, trevs written all over it!
  13. Suppose it was built in Australia!
  14. We used to call it the turtle, then turn the a/c on, the snail.
  15. Would have to be insanely loose to not turn the water pump and alternator?
  16. Our poxy magna had one. 1998. My Nissan is 95 so?
  17. The car will run with no accessories for ages if the alternator isn't charging the battery. It's the accessories that will kill it. Stereo lights a/c etc.
  18. I've got a little tacker here I can charge up for a spare if you want it? Has 10mm or 3/8 terminals so no good for our cars at home. Only a year old free:-) I recall you had a monster under the bonnet. Does it still have the battery in the boot? Maybe a dual battery system?
  19. Does the battery light on the dash come on?
  20. Charge up the battery check the voltage with a multi meter it should be about 13ish volts at full charge. Put the battery in the car start it and with it running it should be about 14.2 to 14.4v this will prove if the alternator I's charging the battery. If it has a external voltage regulator you will only need to replace the regulator. If it's built in new alternator? Cheapie multimeter is only about $30. What cca is the battery? Check the water level and make sure the cells are covered with distilled water.
  21. Dog is looking at it thinking hmm.... A new challenge!
