  1. yes im sure everyone wants summer to come asap. but then when it does come, we will all be complaining how hot it is and how much car is overheating/struggling. hehehe any stop overs on the way to ny andrew? how many hrs to lax btw?
  2. im sure there are more than just bolts underneath the wing. i remember when i removed mine i had to undo clips also, lots of clips which acted as clamps.
  3. weather would be worse for you if you lived way out north - salisbury/elizabeth as im sure theres alot of trees there and also up towards norwood into the foothills. i didnt catch the drift on sbs, i was there. =D
  4. hi miss_petepie, whats the weather like in wa atm? im good andrew, how's yourself? the drastic change in weather has broken a few branches on our street. not safe at all.
  5. evening all
  6. id rather the glossing black one next the that matt black 33. btw is the hot rod you saw, a burnout purpose build one? if so i saw it when it was here at the drifts - mallala and a.i.r
  7. on the top of fuel, do the japanese always use the 100ron avaliable on their performance cars or 90ron. id probarbly wont get an answer but didnt hurt to ask.
  8. speechless. that would be a great chalk board i guess.
  9. i remember that matt black 32, think it had a rb25 in it. anyways, matt black like many others have said looks distasteful and sh!t which i agree. on the bright side, if someone touches your car without your permission at least you'll know. btw are we talking matt black from a spray can or 2pack matt black (is that even possible)??
  10. best of luck mate. how it all goes through without a hitch. definately a cruise afterwards either in your line or audio.
  11. ok, i just went out to perfom the load test on battery and what do you know, its flat. will do it once its fully charged - at the moment it could be an indication that the battery is in fact rooted. although, ive noticed prior to this i would have to have a battery is about 14v for the car to even crank over and when it does it struggles to start. if it doesnt start, it seems as though it is draining the battery everytime i try to start it to the point where if i hold it to the 'start' position all you could hear is the ticking noise that is associated with the starter motor. having said this, when this all started i did get electrical smoke coming form the alternator region so could the alternator be the culprit as it isnt charging the battery like it is suppose to.
  12. guys price is negotiable. would be even better if you want to straight swap a plumback bov.
  13. sup fellas
  14. yeah wrx drivers was my brothers friends older brother - if that made sense. he shitted his jax and do did i, wasnt expecting it to do what it did. yes, petrol is insanly expensive atm. ~$1.25 ish for unleaded. now its becoming a joke.
  15. i know of someone who didnt know much about how to maintain his import and drove on unleaded fuel for a good 6months to a 1yr and the car is still running fine. so is this perception that, a perception.
  16. not bad. spent friday and this morning painting, thats about it. took the sil80 for a drive after the panels were painted and also lose it around a corner - having said that, i did take it at 5000rpm in 2nd gear. was showing how the car handled to a wrx driver who lived in the area. hehehe yourself? how was your weekend and what have you good planned, if any, for tomorrow?
  17. low on funds dont help. i know your situation exactly.
  18. stock fuel pump right? although i dont think aftermarket pump would have made a difference in terms of keeping the situation under control
  19. its starting to let go. rev's are not picking up as quickly as it should be. btw what happened on the dyno when you went past 4.5k rpm's? did it lean out......etc etc
  20. hopefully i get all the issues on mine sorted out soon. i was just about to buy a twin plate clutch for it too, DOH!!!!
  21. at least your car didnt die on your while you were driving
  22. dont you hate it when sh!t happens.
  23. when you realised your alternator was playing up, how did you manage to start the car sam? did you clutch start it or jumper start it......??
  24. thats why i dont take the line out. cause i know that if i leave it for a while then the car wont fire up. also, i noticed that when i go to start the car then the battery needs to be completly charged before it would even struggle to start. The alternator drains the crap out of the battery though. btw pete's going to have a word with his electrican friend who will hopefully give a quote on how much a rebuild will cost.
