  1. I have had my 99' r34 GT-T for about 2months tops. In this time; my left head light has not worked, both low beams have not worked and now my right head light doesn't work? wtf is the deal with this. My car has a 3 year warranty, so it is costing me nothing to have them fixed each time. But it is a huge inconvenience having to take my car in to get it's headlights fixed every few weeks. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
  2. Give it shit past the cops, i'm sure they will be more then happy to sound test your exhaust, dogs.
  3. I'm also after the same info for a tiptronic r34....
  4. Too much fuel is really starting to hurt my wallet in a big way. Spending $100+ some weeks.
  5. I want to get some coloured rims for my yellow 34. Is there anywhere in Perth that sell them or a place that will modify them... similar to this - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...o=2692&size=big but yellow rather then blue.
  6. Correct. I try not to say this. but it is truly needed here. A quick search would have anaswered any questions you had.
  7. Police are pathetic.
  8. Indeed it does. My mistake.
  9. No, they are only ensured to give chase to 140km/hr alot of them get a kick out of it and will chase you all the way up to 200km/hr. If you get in a chase just hope you don't get the old school nugget cops that will chase you till the death. But yes their insurance doesn't cover them past 140. It was also my understanding that cop cars (VY execs) get a ECU upgrade and stiffer suspension. That's it. Nothing too special. Having said that i have noticed more and more D's driving other cars, I have been pulled over twice now by TRG coppers in FWD's. I have also seen suited up TRG cops in a small barina, 'times a changing!' I am in perth btw.
  10. From a GTR to an NA GT-T.... harsh.
  11. Thanks for the link, just about had a look over every page possible (way too many hours spent on here) , was just looking for a few more opinions.
  12. Cheers for the replies.
  13. Just wanted some other opinions, everyone I have asked has had a difference in opinion, so i'm trying to get as many opinions as possible before I make any final decisions. 1999, r34 GT-T. Only modification so far is a full 3" exhaust. This car is still semi-auto, so keep that in mind. I do have plans to do a manual conversion mid next year, so I will do ECU upgrades then. Have around $3-3.5k to play with. Also keep in mind that most (bar the simplest) of mods will need to be fitted by someone else as I don't have the experience too. Fire away.
  14. go down to the local car shop ie super cheap, and get a spacing tool, they cost bugger all, and if ya running stock boost 1.1 is fine, but if you go beyond say 10 pounds then you will need to drop the spacing to .8 maybe even .7 depending on if you have changed your timing to suit the amount of boost you are running.
  15. Sorry was on a mates computer, didnt realise I wasnt on my account, ill take a couple new pics when I wake up tomorrow, got to give it a good clean. only have this one before I bought it, only had it a couple weeks -
  16. Was looking at getting a A'PEXi Power FC ECU for my r34 GT-T only thing is my car is an automatic/tiptronic, and have heard from a couple people this ECU chip wont work for various reasons on an Auto, is their much truth to this? Just thought I'd ask before i spent a grand on something that may not work on my car.
  17. It's in QLD. I am flying over in 8 days... Good ol' virgin.
  18. is their are insurance company like RAC over there that i could get to give the car a once over for me? or something similar.
  19. Thanks for clearing that up. I will do a credit check before I even consider it the. I don't want that happening to me, word of mouth isn't enough when it comes to forking over my hard earned dollars!
  20. I am considering buying a skyline from east. If it was from a dealer I would have no problem with it. But I am a little skeptical with buying a car I have not seen before through private sale. The car seems immaculate from the detailed pictures and from talking to the previous owner. I am also aware that I need to do credit checks on the car to make sure no money is oweing on the car, my understanding is that the car can be taken off me by a bank? if money is oweing? or have I been missinformed. What else should I look for? what other q's I should ask? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
