Don't worry guys, it's going back to the dealer. mark my words... like someone here said "it's better to ask a dumb question to a dealer than to ask for a new engine after it's blown" Sometime this week it'll go back thx for all the advice guys And a sidenote: I disconnected the Blitz BOV, bought some new tubing to actuate the stocker, and bingo no stalling! So I then hooked BOTH BOVs up... i get that nice pssshtt sounds ONLY at high RPM (when I want it anyway) and MORE power... -Kym.
  2. Alarms schmarms! As long as they have all black wiring, multi-stage protection, and crap like that it's all good. I don't see the point in spending $1000+ on an alarm. for the record, i paid under $500 for mine. It works. its all good. I doubt you'll find a case where a car has been stolen with ANY alarm, let alone a $1000 brant.... IMO they all work.

  7. When I bought my car it was disconnected.... It got reconnected before I took delivery tho' I think it's got something to do with emissions, any change with airflow etc can affect emissions... long story.. dont ask It's basically cop bait for your car .... vvroooooommm *psshhht pick me* vvrooooooommmm *pssht pick me!* vroooooommm *psssht no really, come get me!* (insert lights and sirens here)

  10. it only happens under load/boost... so it can only be heard while driving unfortunately hey revving it in neutral doesnt produce enough boost

Posted this in General too, decided to move it here instead When the engine is warm (ie NOT COLD) and I'm pushing it hard I get a bubbling noise coming from the engine above 5000rpm all the way to redline... What could this be ? I have a Blitz BOV, with standard BOV just disconnected... anything to do with this ? Detonation? It's very concerning...

Random license and rego check (apparently) YES, he mentioned the BOV.... called me out of the car and shine'd his torch right under the stocker airbox and says "what does that look like to you son?" uhhh... "it's a blow off valve sir!" him: " you DO know they're illegal right?" uhhhh "yes, I know sir, I'm taking it off tomorrow... it makes the car stall!" him "very well....." *drives off VERY slowly as to not sound BOV again* hahah

  17. Quick Q. How do I remove the indicators in the front bar of a TypeM ? There's a bolt and nut that I can reach by opening the bonnet, but there must be more as it only comes out halfway. Anyone got a manual/know how to do this ? How would I go about say, replacing the bulbs?

  19. Okay, my specs are below (in my sig) I wanna get a few mods done. Here's what I'm thinking.... is this the right order to do things ?? 1. CAI and POD Filter 2. Super AFC (I have a Blitz BOV that stalls!) 3. Electronic Boost Controller 4. FMIC what you guys think will be the best order/way to the get the most bang-for-buck performance after every mod... ?
  20. Okay, Shik - Can you upload a pic where I adjust this Blitz BOV from ? It's starting to piss me off... Might hook my stock one back up again.... No matter how hidden it is (under the stock airbox) the Police STILL seem to find it!!

Yeah, I saw that car in Freo last night... we sort of had a small cruise with a few mates (Supra, Skyline and 180) AND NOW I finally see what you guys mean with countless excel's, lancer's, starlet's attempting to "drag me off" Now i can finally shout "Get a REAL car riceboy" and with a crack of the BOV, be outta there :)

  23. Just _wondering_ how I would go about upping the boost on my R33... Right now the stock boost gauge peaks at 1/2way... so that converts to 7psi right... What SAFE boost would you recommend on stock coola, ecu, etc ? I have turbo-back zorst btw. and I've heard of people running 10psi using small irrigation taps/valves/t-pieces... how is this done ? when you people are all mentioning bleed valve devices, what are you exactly talking about ? and where can i get them ? DIY jobs ? -Kym
  24. ooh,.. forgot one more thing: How much boost is being made when the stock boost gauge is halfway up on the 7+ way ?? that's where it peaks.. wont go higher...
