  1. Thanks Brett and Steve, I'll get an SAFC pretty soon anyway.... It still has the stock BOV installed to, the Blitz one is under the airbox plastic (out of sight) so i can hookup the stocker if need be Does anyone know how to adjust a Blitz BOV ?
  2. ORRIIITE! I picked up my car last night! VERY Impressed, and apart from using $20/fuel for 130kms, i think i did pretty well.... While looking around the car, I noticed a few other things: I have clear side repeaters, IIRC these were an option ? THE CAR STALLS WITH AN ATMO BOV!!!! Someone help me! This is pretty dangerous if i think i got power to boot and there's nothing there! I got a TRUST exhaust at the back, I don't know if it's a catback or turbo-back as the front pipe looks VERY wide/mandrel bent... (Troy, you can confirm this for me!) When I'm going 100+ in 5th gear there's a "grindy/groan" coming from the rear that sounds a bit like a diff.... a tad concerning.... On the "replace oil at" sticker on the windshield it says they used Mobil Synth S oil... is this good ? or crap ? Oil pressure gauge: When cruising along the freeway, it sits anywhere between the 4 and the little mark just obove the 4, is this normal ? well, thx for any help guys, i'm sure there'll be more questions... -Kym.
  3. on a 'line i was taking for a test drive i noticed the boost gauge sat WAY in the vacuum area while switched off.... when the engine was idling, it stayed at 0 the whole time... I thought it looked a bit strange too...
  4. heh, it's DAMN hot! While walking to the bank just 10mins ago i noticed the heat bad!!
  5. my mate had a 99 VT seriesII... what a POS... like you said puckish that rear suspension shakes/rattles/whistle's over about 90km..... 120 is just scary! i still wouldnt mind a drive in a gen3 tho just for comparison.
  6. thanks mate... VERY interesting reading
  7. thanks rev, i'll take a look... you don't happen to have some direct linkage to the page do ya ? You know that thread is 40+ pages long!! -Kym.
  8. WOW.. someone using PC cooling technology on car's ? Nice work Rev. How much did that little system cost ? Roughly how big are the peltier's ? how are they affixed to the coola ? This sounds like a TOP idea.... you have any pics ?
  9. well.. some.. if not MOST chicks don't even know what a skyline is, so they just think "oooh, stato..." and "oooh, clubbie R8 mooite"
  10. I Pick mine up TODAY!!!!
  11. I'm with Famous insurance. I pay $2200/year 20yo, 30%NC, a few fines here and there My car has 17 enkei's, zorst, suspension etc.. they're cool with it.. Speak to Robyn @ Famous... top company!
  12. hey rev, can you explain your "refridgerated" stock coola thinggo ? What the ? -Kym.
  13. Wow! A good all round view comparing 3 cars really, the VXII, VY and an R33.. just what I wanted to hear. I do give holden credit for all the refinement they've done over the years, I can still honestly say they don't compare to the research and development put into the Jap cars. Good review Gradenko
  14. $3000 of stereo a few neon's, foggies, and the rest have all successfully been removed from the hyundai.... to be installed into the 'line.. yes, you heard me, neon's!
  15. before the weekend... and gimme a few days to get used to the POWER!! then i'll take you for a spin
  16. I'm in for the dyno day, but not the bitching. I don't care where we all go, as long as we get a COMPARATIVE look at people's cars. well said troy
  17. Well, I must say, after coming to SDU/SAU at the start of the year, and "dreaming of a skyline" since I was like 16... It's finally happened. I am now the proud owner of a White 1995 Series 1.5 GTSt! 1995 Nissan Skyline, White 5sp Manual Driver Air-bag Dampener adjustable low suspension Enkei RP-02's in WHITE 17x8 Front's 17x9 Rears' Stainless Muffler on cat-back mandrel bent exhaust Blitz Blow off valve (neatly concealed under the stock airbox) Genuine Floor mats, updated rear-wing, TypeM front bar.. the usual stuff. I got it from Melville Auto Imports, whom I highly recommend for great customer service. Kevin was more than happy to take me for drives in more than 3 cars before I made up my mind.... Well, I don't even have pics yet I'm so busy with other stuff (and yes, the cruise pics ARE coming too!) but as soon as I do i'll post some up. That is all.... see you all on the next cruise! -Kym
  18. Sure is dude.... sure is...
  19. Yesh, pretty Vague Timmy G. On the series I the turbo Impeller wheel is ceramic. On the series II the turbo impeller wheel is plastic. The Series II is mildly weaker note: I have NO idea what an "impeller" wheel is, if it is even the object in question either...
  20. well, buying a skyline and dealing with insurance/finance, and teh rest of the bull$hit that goes with it is making me REAL busy.. sorry for the delay hey.. I'll get them up as soon as humanly possible
  21. it might be.....
  22. You wanted STRICH9 too ? such a coincidence ! heheh your right, easily recognized.. i like it
  23. Hey guys, I want to get custom plates on my upcoming R33, I don't like the standard full size WA plates at the back or the front (too ghey) To anyone that has custom plates, what size do you have ? I understand there is 1/4 size, 1/2 size, 3/14 size and normal size.. I'm thinkin of getting 1/4size at the front, and 3/4 size at the rear. this sound about right ? -Kym
  24. Hey franks, what sort of digital camera do you have ? and what setting did you use to get the photo's _just_ right with the lights from the bridge illuminating it ? exposure ? white balance ?
  25. BWHAHAHAhAHAHAAA! Greg, that's CLASSIC!! I always thought Troy looked like him! and YES, Shaun (although I only met you for the first time on Friday) DOES resemble that dude from beverly hills cop
