  1. justinfox on here had an issue with his 32GTR oil temp gauge... i have a temperamental oil pressure gauge and warning light (happened at the track) so have replaced the 3 gauges in the centre with oil temp, oil press and water temp with warnings.
  2. Michael, who are you going with for insurance / how much?
  3. Pics!!!!!! please.
  4. They're some nice lines andrew... keep it at easter nats though!
  5. I actually want to see the back side of the cluster... specifically, I want to know if I can simply remove a globe or wire for the oil pressure gauge warning light I changed my GTR 3 din gauges for some defi gauges, and now because the computer thinks that the oil temp has gone mental, the oil press / temp warning light at the base of the oil pressure gauge stays on... So, I want to remove the light globe as the new defi oil temp / press have in-built warnings So can anyone please take a pic of an R32 cluster from the back, or, can tell me if I can just remove a globe? Cheers, marcus
  6. mmmkay that's interesting...
  7. wouldn't have a spare link cable (between gauges or between gauge and controller) would you?
  8. What was the deal with your motor, Robin?
  9. yep that's true - the 650 is rated at 250CCA and 650 continual amps.
  10. nice pics
  11. Hi guys, bought second hand gauges on my visit to japan and discovered today that I am one cable short... The defi gauges system link one gauge to the controller box by one cable, then the same cable can then daisy chain that gauge to the next one and so on. So, I need one of these said cables, quite urgently, otherwise does anyone know the defi distributor who might have these? Cheers in advance. see also my WTB, below in my sig

  13. thanks guys, for better or worse we went with a compact odyssey 650... will post some pics when we get the catch can made up and in
  14. Duncan, what's the capacity of your catch can, and how is it mounted? got any pics? cheers, marcus
  15. I was suggested an Optima - it's bigger: Approx 13cm x 25cm x 23cm... might be a better bet, but then the catch can will be a bit smaller
  16. Hi guys, I want to put a catch can on my R32GTR, and they have NO space in the engine bay... So was considering swapping to a narrow battery such as an Odyssey http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/cat...ategory59_1.htm "Odyssey Battery 650 amps CCA 245a 183mmx78mmx187mm" and putting a catch can next to it. *Is anyone using one? *Do they have enough capacity for everyday work (i have no high current draining audio etc)? *I'm confused is this a 650 cranking amp of 245CCA battery? Any other suggestions? Cheers, Marcus
  17. So do the Castrol oils not have the detergents that the others such as Motul or Mobil 1 have?
  18. Time to drag this one up again... I'm about to do a change, have been running Motul 300v 15-50 for a year or so and have been pretty happy with the performance. Some vic guys swear by Castrol Formula R 10-60 (i think) and am considering the change - alot of vic guys run it at the track with good results (or lack of blow ups?!?) and i'm preparing for another track day in April I however have one sump's worth of 300v left waiting to go in... so what do I do, run the 300v or swap to Castrol for the track then back to 300v for the road? Cheers
  19. your insurance will be liable for the damage caused to the car in front, i'm sorry to say - you'll have to foot the bill for the damage to the car in front. they will argue that the gap was not far enough away from the car in front. i could be proved wrong but I'm pretty sure you will be pushing sh*t uphill in a wheelbarrow to try and get the insurance company for the car that hit you to pay for the damage to the 3rd vehicle.
