mate getting 200rwkw is piss easy, why spend all that money if thats all the power you are chasing
-
hey, not building up a motor any more so im selling a RB25 VCT Turbo head, Low km excellent condition. $550, its a complete head with valves cams etc.
-
mates have dealt with pro flo with excellent results arias are great pistons
-
yeah Zoom done it and found it was not that good for a RB 20 due to the short inlet runners. They put the STD one back on and got more power. The RB26 manifold doesnt bolt straight up either, there is a fair bit of cutting and welding involved

Hi, i have a rb25 ready to replace my RB20. Its running standard internals, with a match ported and polished head, Haltech computer, FMIC, 3 inch exhaust, etc, i was going to go a big turbo and external gate but i cant be bothered now. A mate mentioned the HKS2540. anyone know what power they are good for with the above setup on 1.3 or 1.4 bar, and when will it come on boost.
-
hi, looking for the above in good condition, need it asap, im in the sydney area and would prefer to buy locally so i can have alook, let me know what you have got
-
from what i have heard hiring airstrips is a thing of tha past unfortunately. (images of racewars, fast and furious come to mind) It would be awesome to line up cars with similar mods etc. i hope the ppl who suggested a public road in an industrial area are joking, like thats ever going to happen,
-
public liability insurance has fu(ked all that from happening from what understand
-
you can hire Heathcote raceway in VIC, a few mates have done it and its not that dear when you have about 20 cars in attendance.

you mean to say the Vl turbo box is the same as the standard Vl 6 cylinder box???? i didnt think so
-
Hey, need to upgrade to a stronger box than my RB20det 5 speed. Are the VLT box and the Rb25det box the same?? if not whats better, considering ill have somewhere between 350-400rwhp.
-
i have done it twice, not in my 'line but a land cruiser, 3 days hard driving to get to darwin

hi, looking at getting a 3037 for the RB25 im building. im also welding the wastegate to the standard manifold cause im not getting a manifold made yet. I know it will fit the T3 flange, but will the compressor cover clear the block etc???,
-
what do you use to seal them up sydneykid????? and do you anneal them first
-
symptoms like that sound like AFM's , i have been down that road before
-
im in the process of putting together a RB25, and my dyno tuner has suggested using a copper head gasket to reduce the compression to around 8.4:1. i know a HKS gasket would be the best bet but im not paying the massive money they want. What are your experiences?
-
depends greatly on the tune, i have run 20 psi through mine but make sure its not too lean
-
sell the RB25 and put a Rb20 in it, and pocket the change

thinking about slotting in a Rb26 into my R31 coupe. I have a Haltech E6K, electronic boost control, 550cc injectors, 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust, large frontmount cooler, all stitting here ready to go. I will be using the standard turbos. What boost are the standard turbo's good for? what i am after is the expected power at the wheels, any help would be appreciated.

Just got offered a rb30et complete short motor with new ACL pistons for great price. All i know about them are they are not forgies, but are they better than standard nissan pistons?
-
for an every day streeter its getting a bit laggy, but it isnt to bad, something like a rb25 high flowed turbo or a HKS 2530, will spool 1000rpm earlier and still have the same top end.

above 4500
