  1. need to know the exhaust housing size, compressor housing size and the compresor wheel size and ill let you know if it will be too laggy i have had 3 t4's on Rb20's and they are all laggy, but the resulting top end power is a scream
  2. roy: what dealers are they in Sydney, i need a complete RB25 gasket kit.
  3. i have an E6K as well and have bad economy. Closed loop means getting a haltech O2 sensor in your dump pipe to control your fuel ratios, which are usually set to 14.7/1 for light load cruising. Closed loop can be set to turn off at a given RPM, usually around the rpm where boost starts to rise above 0. this is my understanding of closed loop control, the price of the sensor has turned me off so far.
  4. i have had two T04 turbos on Rb20's over the years and they had a 0.63 and 0.65 exhaust housings, max boost was from 4500 to 4700 rpm
  5. ditto for the size of the exhaust housing, its huge, its going to be laggy, my guess it will come on above 5000rpm. where are you going to mount the wastegate
  6. another thing pin 7 is not the 7th pin along, you will need a pin out diagram for its exact location, sorry i dont have one
  7. yeah mate pin 7 on the computer is the tacho output wire. Thats for a silver rocker cover Rb20. you should be able to splice into it and run it off that.
  8. went to a Rb25 turbo for 600 bucks while my GT30 is being built
  9. excellent condition, no shaft play, dont need it as i have upgraded. $350 ono including dump pipe plus postage im located in Sydney
  10. shit this weather is not looking good boys, ill be spewing if all this time i have been hooking in on the car has been for nothing, two weeks to the next meet is too long
  11. i put a rb25 turbo on my 20 and got 18rwkw more,
  12. yeah thats a fair point sydneykid, i have a 25 turbo on my RB20 at the moment and it has a shitload more mid then i can remember the T3 had on my RB20 a few years ago. But that was with a standard computer compared to a haltech now with the Rb25 turbo. You are right about the plain bearings and thrust plates needing a regular rebuild, but i reckon it would last longer on 1 bar than a 25 turbo would
  13. i had one on my RB20 for a few weeks, was a litle bit laggy compared to a RB25 turbo, but you can safely run them on 15psi all day without fear of the ceramic turbine blowing apart. Made more power then the standard RB20 turbo, so go for it, 350 is cheap and you will easily get your money back if you wish to sell.
  14. yeah i saw it out last night, sounded like it had a bit of go in it
  15. dremen: was that a metallic blue gazelle
  16. i have a 230 rwkw RB20 mate and its been going over a year now of hard driving, plus i have seen another half doz with more than 200 rwkw and all are fine. who cares if the motor is more than 10 years old, its how many km's its done that counts, if its geting up there in km's, a quick freshen up might be in order, im going for 250 rwkw in a few weeks so ill see where the week points are.
  17. i have made 188rwkw with a Rb25 turbo bolted on, 3 inch , large fmic and a haltech same mods with a t3/t4 turbo, made 227 rwkw
