  1. Thanks mate, ill be having a short look for a compatible spring otherwise just changing the gate
  2. Appreciate you helping out again, ill have a little look around and see if i can find something with this information otherwise im thinking of just blocking off the port where the screamer currently is and buying a new wastegate that can bolt onto the 2 bolt flange currently there and bolting my screamer onto the output of the new wastegate and getting my screamer pipe extended so it sits under the car again as it will be raised up quite a bit
  3. Ahaha, thanks for that, I never thought to contact a turbo supplier and didnt know car mods sold HKS Gear. Ill definitely contact both and see if they can also help me out, otherwise I've always wanted to go to Japan so thats works too I guess. Edit: Neither Car Mods nor GCG have anything to do with HKS, ill keep searching though
  4. Hey all, I'm currently having issues with my external Wastegate Spring. I am Currently running a stock 7 pound spring in my HKS External Wastegate. I believe it to be a Standard HKS External Wastegate but cant find anything anywhere to help me source out a correct spring. My reasoning for this being that my previous wastegate diaphragm tore and I was in need of a new one so I came to this Site seeking help and what would you know, I was sent in the right direction to purchasing a replacement. I ordered a "HKS STANDARD WASTEGATE REPLACEMENT PARTS - DIAPHRAGM" from RHD Japan and due to the "Standard" one being a perfect replacement I'm currently under the assumption that this is the name my one goes by as the only other one I can find is the GT II. I recently purchased a 0.6 to 1 Bar Spring from RHD Japan. I purchased their "HKS GT WASTEGATE SPRING - WHITE BLUE" thinking that it would suit my Wastegate as at the very least it is just labeled a "GT" and not "GT II" which can see a photo of on their website and confirm that they are not the same, but I could not have been more wrong. Below are some photos of my current Wastegate, Wastegate Spring and the new Wastegate GT Spring I purchased If anyone could please help me with any sort of information on where or how to get a spring more suited for my application without changing wastegates would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  5. Hey guys, I've ordered a Plazaman Fuel Rail Kit and Injectors and I was just curious if I would also need to individually order "6AN Female to Barb Adaptor Fitting" to allow my stock lines to fit to the new rail. That's the only thing that hasn't come in the kit. If so, I'm not sure which angle to buy, whether it's a straight through, a 45° or a 90° peice. This is what came in the kit. Let me know if I'm missing anything Thanks guys
  6. Alright, I'm gonna order the purple one tomorrow, I'll see if they can add it to my pending order for the diaphragm as it's apparently going to be sent out on the 21st. Anyone know how long I'm looking at it taking to reach Sydney NSW? I paid for the DHL shipping and wasn't really sure what it meant by 1-5 days as I'm sure it will take much longer than that to arrive and 5 days will be the 21st when I think they are saying it will be sent out. Thanks guys, don't really understand their shipping system .
  7. Alright mad, too easy, I'll definitely be sourcing out at least a 14 psi spring setup. Thanks mate
  8. Hey mate, so your saying it would be worth my while to have a 14pound spring in there instead of the 7pound one? I'm also going to be tuning the car soon after the diaphragm arrives and I'll probably be pushing close of not a little more than 20psi. I'm also probably just going to have the ECU control the boost so I'll just delete the Blitz one
  9. Also just curious on how I would fit it on as the one on my wastegate is round but the online one is squared off, do I just run a knife around the outside of the wastegate after clamping it shut? Thanks again
  10. Thanks soo much man, I honestly appreciate it soo damn much. You've been a huge help.
  11. The Air Compressor was at 5psi throughout the testing Snapchat-651745023.mp4 Snapchat-9772583.mp4
  12. Not gonna lie, I'm actually really happy and thankful you just said that cause I know what would have happened aha
  13. Alright, thanks so much again man, everyone had been heaps of help. I've been soo stuck until now, I'll give an update hopefully tomorrow afternoon after work
  14. By test off car, you mean just see the condition of the internals correct? Or run some form of pressure test?
  15. Damn sorry mate, when I say throttle body I mean intake manifold. Super sorry about any confusion
  16. The bottom port is connected to a 3way t peice being (Line from bottom of wastegate, line into powersteering, and another line going to another 3way t peice linking to (throttle body, and top of stock boost solenoid, and then out of the bottom of the stock boost solenoid into the smaller nipple under the top throttle body connection)
  17. Here is a video of the wastegate being pressurised with the Compressor Snapchat-1736501920.mp4
  18. Hey guys, I've just presure tested all the hoses with a air Compressor to see if there are any leaks. I'm pushing 5-7psi through all the wastegate and boost hoses I've listed above and there are no leaks. I did notice something I'm not entirely clear of tho. Then I connect the Compressor to the how going into the bottom nipple of the wastegate, the air is easily making its way through the top nipple and the wastegate is not opening at all. Could this be the issue being that all the boost is just somehow bypassing the gate/door maybe through a crack in the internals of the wastegate and coming out the top and therefor not opening the gate? Thanks again guys
  19. I have the rear switch set to Wastegate not Actuator. Not sure if the sudden boost spike from the slit hose damaged the internals of the wastegate. It was working fine prior
  20. I've looked all over and can't find anything that helps, everything just says to connect the bottom of the wastegate to the Turbo Compressor housing nipple, but my turbo doesn't have one so I needed to splice around with the hosing
  21. Hey sorry guys, I might have left out some crucial information. When I took the car for a drive after replacing the intercooler piping, the hose clamping to the bottom of the wastegate was resting on the exhaust manifold and had a burn slit straight through it, when i grapped it and pulled it abit to have a look it snapped clean in half right in my hand. Im not sure if this might have damaged the wastegate.I had extra hose on hand and changed that over straight away and re-routed it away from the manifold. The wastegate I have is second hand and ive been running it on my car at 15psi for 1 year and 2 months. Not sure about the previous owner I also flipped the top and bottom of the wastegate to see if that would somehow resolve my boost issue and i noticed that when I accelerated, the gate was closed and as soon as I let go of the throttle, the gate would open as I would hear the screamer start bleeding out exhaust noise. When the revs dropped back to idle, the gate would close again. I did notice that my boost preasure was staying around 7psi. Anyways, here is a diagram of the current setup. I hope this helps
