  1. By the way the de block has lasted 2 years at 200rwkw, not bad aye...
  2. I bought the block complete if I wanted to put it on, what would I have to do to the block, cleaning? Looks a bit rusty... The only reason for this is as I converted my de to det I want some peace of mind + getting married so I don't really want to rebuild until next year also normally how long would it take to install? Thinking whether to use my mechanic or my performance shop, apart from being cheaper the saving would have to be put toward a retune as it's tuned for the de block
  3. Also very true! Bastards.
  4. But we must also remember that not every p plater speeds or does the wrong thing, alot of full licence drivers do it and more often but the media just blows it out of proportion, of the 395 people who died on our roads for official rd toll how many were p platers? Once again I'll remind every p plate (infact everyone) keep it on the track, maybe we need to organise more track days?
  5. I suppose but then if they weren't so keen on revenue raising then they would, anyway they would charge for the box + it doesn't stop them getting other infringements it just may save their fkn lives though anyway they still have it in trial stages you never know it may e their solution otherwise they wouldn't have built it in the 1st place
  6. Gps speed adjustment device FTW (p platers and People who get back from licence suspensions due to speeding)
  7. The rta currently has this machine which adjusts the cars speed to the limmit automatically like gps and even to school zones, do a search in yahoo about it, install that in every p platers car!! This is better than impounding cars and shit
  8. Don't they normally send a letter if it needs to be tested? There's no option on the defect slip which says you need the test done! Unless it's changed in the last 6 months? Anyone other than 4teecal verify this please?
  9. You just can't prevent this stuff like that, I say limmit them to hyundais! (1.3 - 1.5L)
  10. Driver education may help the stop splitting their cars in half but even with that there's too many variables, I've had the advanced driver training done, plus a fair few skid pan stuff (wet and dry) but still if they are going to be idiots they'll still make mistakes
  11. ^^^^ haha the circle of life
  12. Oh yeah I'm full licenced but that doesn't make me experienced either I've only had 6 years driving experience doesn't mean I can handle every situation
  13. He ended up backwards in the other side of the road (parramatta rd) I hope he learnt his lesson intact I hope he broke a few axles or somethig when he went over the island, but I'm sure he's still TRYING to keep up, at this point I'd like to mention that I don't street race and I did not race this man he was purely trying to keep up with me and speed ahead in the rain, I'd also like to tell every SAU NSW member to obide by the road rules don't speed and don't race on the streets the less attention we draw to our club the less we get pulled over (I hope ^_^)
  14. You know ever since the double demerits started I've seen p platers overtake me when I'm sticking under the limmit, I've seen a Honda s2k race a wrx (the wrx would have hit 180 within 250m Hume highway bankstown -> it was insanely quick!!!) and just p platers speeding yet none of them were booked nor did I see any police presence in the area, I believe rather than doing the whole defect thing and picking on little things the police need to target speeding in general it's not just p platers -> I get tail gaters and commonwhore brock wannabe's all the time overtaking me or trying to run me at the lights because they think they'll win or they can win a medal or something, but whether they are experienced or not anyone can loose control of a car, I had a commodore do a 360 right in the lane next to me when he tried to keep up in the rain!!!! Full licenced!
  15. SAU nsw mass wedding! Haha so you got mostly standard bolt ons in terms of power production? Ok update for me Spend more time doing diy's Start doing my own oil changes to save coin Learn to install sh!t myself i.e. Things like sspension arms and gauges which recently cost me $500 to get installed (500 bux is like new set of conrods pretty much!!!)
  16. Just let the gauge get to the middle since you don't have aftermarket one or a PFC, after it reaches the middle let it run for another few mind the put the cap on and turn off
  17. Also replacing the thermostat is an easy job the thermostat is located at the end of the top/bottom hose, I can't remember because it was a while ago for me, you just need a knife to fish it out as it's stuck via gasket goo + there's a few bolts as well But a mechanic will be able to get it out within 10 minutes
  18. There's a little valve which you open, another way to bleed the air is after you've filled the coolent up again, leave the radiator cap off, and let her get to operating temp heater on full blast helps, so just let it get to about 77degrees then put the cap on again, it's a good idea to do this once in a while before you start the car unless you want a blast of coolent. Or install a radiator breather tank so the air pockets always get released.
  19. If it's not a blocked radiator try putting silicone hoses and new clamps on, don't use cheap ones get the same style ones as your intercooler piping uses, but I once had a hose pop off at 120km/h it was due to air build up in the system, so bleed it from air as well (and I know it wasn't blockages because the radiator was a brand new aluminium one at the time)
  20. sorry man i woke up a bit late i work in the city monday - thursday and can pick up after 6pm any of those days, other wise friday afternoon after 2pm, let me know which is best, once again sorry
  21. wait a second did you get done by hwp or EPA? coz you dont need emissions test unless they ask for one and normally in a letter right? so dont worry about all that until you get the defect cleared, you want it cleared you need to swap all the aftermarket parts out and then worry about the emissions test because youd wanna engineer it and so on.
  22. that two tone might be hot!
  23. Let me check and let you know the normal turn around for these about 7 days? The group buys on for a while though so I'll get back to you soon =)
