Bels Garage = $$$$$$$$$ i have had exprience with these guys my mte went and got a 20 valve install in his AE86 took a fair few months and $12,000 later and they said it was all because he retained the AC as they wanted to get rid of the AC and he said no he wanted it The mods that were performed was-- Full exhaust+ headers EMS STINGER ECU New Clutch 4 air rams Alloy radiator every1 i talked to bout told me it was a basic job fiting the 20 valve as a plate is made up and put on the side but these guys tok like 4 months or more and charaged the earth. But hey these guys might be good at RB's i dunno i went there with my Calais RB30/25 and they said they dont tune microtech and then went back later on they said they dont like tuning them but will do it for $600 i was like well if they dont like it i cant see them giving me the best tune they can i think ill go elswhere before i get a tune and lose a piston. 1st hnd exprience guys.
  2. Ok i have had my R33 S1 now for about 2 weeks its basically stock apart from a BCM air filter and cat back NIsmo Exhaust which was a dealers option when bought. So i thought id buy a full trust system but then thought why not keep my exsisting 3 inch nismo cat back system and just get a Dump pipr,front pipe and hi flow cat in 3inch and add it on to what i have it should be fine right. i was quoted $550 from 1 place and i was just wondering of this was standard price. if so ill just get a dump pipe of ebay and and then get the system done.

  4. just wondering how i can tell what my R33 has from the plates. like is there a sequence of numbers and so on that i can have a look at 2 see what i got like LSD and transmission and so on. also do the series 1 GTS25T have VVT
  5. just wondering would it be worth it swapping my VL calais Turbo for a R32 GTS stock as a rock its just im heading out the performance era now getting over it but i still want somthin with a lil kick from dat RB series engine the VL i have no has a fair bit done and now i drive for a living i just cant handle coppers trying 2 scope me out trying 2 look 4 somthin 2 pin on me with all my mods on my Calais. still want a turbo and all that but nothin fancy and have always liked the look of the R32. since i have had the car i have used RYCO oil filters and Motul 4100 turbolight oil and NGK BCPR6ES plugs with .8mm gapping. my calais is a 5speed manual calais from factory 145,000k or somthing it has done leather interior factory condition is as would be after 19 years RB30DET block with RB25DET head RB20DET ball bearing turbo set on 10 psi got twin thermos at front aswell as clutch fan just not wired up Microtech MT8 ECU and handset Heavy Duty Clutch 3 inch exhaust/magnaflow cannon pod filter turbosmart boost controller stage 1 TAP front mount cooler LSD MOMO RACE wheel VR SS alloys Autometer boost and A/F ratio gauges and chrome cups and monster tacho front walkie bar 7x10 rear speakers front kenwood 4 inch in original place kenwood CD player i have a moded RB20 Manifold to fit a tial 38mm wastegate which i also have and a TO4B turbo with 1.00 a/R exhaust housing and 6-S15 Redtop 380cc injectors ready to go in as the turbo is restricting power to 160rwkw wen i bought the car it was on 6 psi now i run 10psi hasnt seen more since i have had it i believe in u have it tuned before you hoon you feel me. another dyno session with turbo should see this car have more then 150kw 202hp i have dyno sheet sumwhere aswell dyno has got me at 150rwkw already and i had a stuffed throttle cable fixed that and the clutch started slipping so it was robbing power got a new Heavy duty clutch in but i think the power from the new setup might make the new clutch slip aswell i could be totally wrong though. body is Kimberley Metallic bronze i have had some windscreen sill rust fixed it up and getting new rubber and screen put in body is str8 and i have never had any problems in the 3 years i have had it engine wise 1 electric window dont work due to the cable being 2 loose or tight when my car got broken into still goes up and down a lil and then stops also b4 i had it the front drivers window had the tint scratched off dunno why was going to take the whole lot off but just thought stuuupid if the rest have it and this 1 dont. central locking and alarm just wondering would this be a good trade for a GTS R32 RB20DET stock
  6. my mate had same model corolla with a 20V absolutly hammered but i dunno where u get it beat a Type R man this thing couldnt beat a TX3 Turbo which i know cause i drove the TX3 and i got chomped by Type R minimal mods on TX3 aswell so i dunno man. dyno sheet would be good to see and what brakes you running? and also a AE86 with same setup would run better time then the FWD corolla as weight shift on RWD cars = grip on take off is better then FWD. and man all that BHP and KW i sengine man not wheels like we have a 92 Ti Pulsar SR20DE thats 100kw still get beatin buy a 75kw swift GTi. but love the quad throttle body.
  7. ok looked behind my dash cluster 2day and rewired all things i have running on accesories System,Gauges started her up and it sounded like a WRX missing a cylinder took it for a run and it went very well aprat from the sound. i gunned it up the street seemed all good went up another street and it was like it missfired and spat and spurted turning my system off and then back on but it dosent stall the motor. now im going to check plug gaps tomorrow and im starting to think i have a coil breakdown somewhere. is there a way i can check the coils or inspect them also my mate was telling me of a ground wire that goes from cyl 6 plug to a bolt and 1 from the ignitors does sum1 have a pic of this i have the one near the plug but dunno about the other 1. also i was thinking could be my tune as when i got it dynoed i had 150rwkw and a throttle body problem i fixed my throttle body cable and my clutch started slipping and i just got my clutch done bout month ago and i havent had it retuned. do u think that could be a problem???
  8. ok im just checking all wires behind the dash instrument cluster im going to pull my system out and check there aswell then im going to check at the look into the MT8 ECU see if anythings happening there. if its a short somewhere i thought it would have blown a fuse by now or somthing. and is there a way i can find out what Cylinder the misfire is on.
  9. well i have owned the car for about more den 1 year and i havnet had this trouble before. i thought maybe theres a short like on my stereo wiring somewhere its just like it was all good i did a burnout then went to do another 1 and it started from there. when i took it out today i went up the street and i took it over 3000rpm and it didnt do it but after about 5 min driving i did the same thing again and it did the same thing.
  10. well i have a problem with my car RB25/30DET in a Calais its liek when i take off or give it in gear like bout 3000rpm i get a really nasty misfire shuts power off stereo turns off then back on and alarm light flashes and so on but dosnet shut my engine down. i thought it was plugs but i just changed them. i noticed today that the silicone hose between cooler pipe and throttle was split so ill fix that but i dunno what this misfiring is. i think it could be ignitor i have no idea really can some1 help me here???

  12. well i want to get all this info 1st b4 i go and sell my calais and get a R32 i was also thinkin about geting a RB25DE NA R32 probley be easier to do a conversion to RB25DET.
  13. could i just run a like a seperate loom for power and that by itself i know it might leave me with some more wires but would this work like encorporate both parts i need into 1 insted of replacing the whole lot. do you know what i mean?
  14. when you say they can repair it and finshin it up on a lathe is called Hard Chroming what it is is like say u have a coke can and u put a chip out 1 side just say you put 10 thou of hard chrome around the can and then work it on a lathe back to its original size my old man duz that stuff but i am told its exspensive compared to job size. alloy canot be electroplated i dont think cause the piece has to let electricity go through it to be plated i dont think allot is a very good conductor but i guess theres ways to do it if they can do plastic but it might not be worth it to them as it might contaminate there dipping bins. best thing i reckn is mate get it polished up it will look a treat.
  15. this boost controller is similar to my stage 1 Turbosmart comntroller yeah except the price lol $22 is a good price cant complain on that lol.
  16. im in the backward case lol i have the RB20 T03 on my RB30DET lol spools up 2 fast just waiting 4 a clutch change and ill be putting my TO4B on but yer thats seems 2 be a very good spool up time for an old timer T03. mine comes on full boost like 2000rpm or somthin im only running 10 psi and making 150rwkw. whats it like up top end like duz it tapper off and at wat RPM and also what exhaust AR you got just asking if you know cause if you have like a .64 AR and it spools up that fast on a 2Lt thats mad maybe u found a cheap way to upgrade ya turbo lolololol ??
  17. hmmmm i was just going to do it to a R32 thats why i made this thred so i can read what people say cause if i knew about this i wouldnt be asking. i was just gunna buy a front cut and replace everything into the R32 id use the R33/R34 brakes and so on so im guessing if i pay $4500 for a low Km's R33 RB25DET id just swap it into the R32 wouldnt this be str8 forward. so i can use the R32 Loom but i was thinking of getting a Aftermarket ECU later on and just use the RB25DET ECU for the time been. can this be done and i heard its only 2 pins that need 2 be changed is this right.
  18. nah im not really into the shape of the R33 unless its the GTR i like the R32 better looks sportier to me sleeker and the R33 looks more chunky and big.
  19. i am thinking of selling my Calais Turbo and buying an R32 could be an auto Turbo i dont like the RB20DET for some reason so in about 6 months buy a R34 or R33 front cut and put the RB25DET into the R32 some people have said the hardest part is the loom. i want to use all the R33/R34 stuff radiator,psteer pump everything and brakes and probley convert the r32 to manual using the RB25DET box. i am also thinking the tail shaft needs to be moded somehow not sure how hard is this conversion and what am i looking at $$$ wise. everything will be stock for awhile until i can upgrade things. i put this in the wrong section b4 i thinkz. sorri guys

  21. Well my bro has GT4 and i went and look at the R32 GTST and the body that of a GTR the gaurds were pumped out and all but was rear wheel drive.
